EVERY TIME he got the ball he dribbled by people. He never gave up on the ball either. He won it back. He was like a dog chasing a ball in the garden. He'd always get it back. He was electric. When he started to become a 30/40/50 goal a season man he then started to focus more on scoring/being effective but this version of Messi was probably my favourite. He was unstoppable with the ball at his feet. He could, and did, dribble out of anything. It was like watching a magician. He was miles ahead of the rest, even Ronaldinho(who was also unreal). When Ronaldinho won the Ballon Dor he said "This award says Im the best in the World but Im not even the best in Barcelona" coz he knew that Messi was on a different level. Watching Messi back then was so exciting. Watching him transfer into a goal machine was incredible. He had to do that to compete with CR7. Watching him develop into an attackin midfield/playmaking assist king was amazing. He proved he could really play anywhere across the front line but I loved the young version of Messi the best. The long haired kid on the wing who dribbled by everyone, never gave up on a ball and never walked around. What a player. What a career. What a World Cup. GOAT
