27:18 Hearing this got me tearing up. I always had a feeling my dad knew he wasn’t gonna live much longer. I remember him crying over the phone with me in the mental hospital and him in a normal hospital but he didn’t care about himself in that moment. He just wanted his daughter to live a happy and healthy life. Three days later he died, went to sleep and didn’t wake up. It was so sudden and I used to think he was selfish for that but I also couldn’t imagine seeing him slowly decline to death.
The cliche is that people want a chance to say goodbye to someone who is about to die. I was blessed to have a doctor challenge me on that and I realized I wanted, not to say goodbye, but to say I love you to my husband of 27 years. He was not really conscious but it didn't matter because I knew some part of him would hear it. Having one last phone call with your dad because he knew the end was near and he wanted to tell you how much he cared before it was too late was a wonderful thing.

I was bullied through elementary and middle school (susprisingly not much in high school, for some reason, people didn't bully me but they didn't really talk to me much either but I still had around a dozen people I'd consider friends). In middle school I finally got a taste of acceptance from "more popular" people when I became friends with someone whom I thought was a nice person with lots of friends, until I saw them start to bully one girl for being unattractive. Out of desperation for acceptance, I joined in on the bullying. I only did it once and I apologized to her for it but I still feel shame to this day about doing it, I was blinded by the chance to be popular and I abandoned my morals and I haven't forgiven myself for it.
Tbh I think he was doing that to try and stop himself from getting more upset with it, like you can see it genuinely shocked him that even when a game character says he’s proud of him how it made him feel
At the end, when Mark’s “fortune” was being read, I was thinking, “Ah, this game totally misread Mark and is just throwing out some generic BS.” Then I heard Mark’s voice break at “I’m so incredibly proud of you,” and I realized that oh, nope, clearly I was the one who misread him. Agreed. My best friend's husband dealt with anger issues for a long time, so much so that it nearly ended their marriage. He made him get counseling and it really saved many of his relationships, not just the one with my bestie. Anger is a difficult emotion to get a handle on because it's EASY to get angry, and it's easy to use it to hide other emotions, so it's truly an amazing thing when someone is able to work hard to get a handle on it.

Scrolling through the comments I've already seen about a dozen different words in the first handful so seems there's a lot.
There's actually a good chunk of offshoots by the same devs in this same vein of 'game' (although you're right about the two official 'sequels' for this game). Most of the others are somewhat less serious and/or fairly NSFW in nature but all of their quizzes, while varying in quality and entertainment value, are cheap and still quite fun to 'play' even if they only last an hour or less.

This game is fascinating. Spooking you to raise your defenses, then leading you out of it to lower them past what they were before. Reassuring you after you feel vunerable to make sure the message hits home. Making you really think about yourself on a deeper level. Whoever wrote the script for this game knew exactly what they were doing and I'm so impressed.
Especially after he explained he knows it would be super painful. Like some people would take it as full protection no pain doing it. And he’s just like yeah I’d do it even though it’s painful because I won’t be killed.
All jokes aside, this video really humanized Mark to me, to hear him talk so openly about his bad habits and traits really makes me feel better as a person altogether. I have a tendency to beat myself up over every little thing and that can hurt my productivity massively, to know that not only am I not the only one with such negative traits, but I share them with someone who could manage to be so successful is simply reassuring, this was a great experience, thank you Mark!
What you're describing is a form shame. I think there are more people who understand and relate to where you're coming from than you realize. I don't know the extent to which this is affecting you, but if you find it's getting in your way and holding ypu back, you might be a candidate for some Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. (That is, if you've never had any.) I won't go into the gritty details of everything I've been through, but being a recovering addict, I used to be well acquainted with shame. The fact that I had literally flunked out of my first attempt at college (among other failures and a plethora of health issues) was one of the biggest sticking points that affected my self-esteem and self-worth. CBT helps you challenge the those thoughts, reframe them, and ultimately let them go. It was an essential component to clawing my way out of the pit I had, slowly, dug for myself. Now I'm 10 years sober, went back to get my BSC in Cell and Molecular Biology, and am now following my dream of becoming a medical doctor. But you don't have to be an addict or dealing with suicidal ideations to benefit from CBT. I just used my story to illustrate how nothing is set in stone unless you never try again or unless you're dead. With enough determination and support, you can pick yourself up from the lowest of rock-bottoms and rise above it.
This is why Mark is one of my favourite online personalities. He shows that he's an actual human being. One that millions of people around the world love

I agree, I truly don't know what I would do. Should I tell them, should I not. Honestly, someone is probably watching Mark at any time of day. Given his massive audience and amount of hardcore fans, I can almost guarantee you that someone is always watching Mark.
As someone who struggles with viewing all my experiences as luck or lack thereof, rather than the actual input I may have put in, even after years of people like my mom telling me that I'm of tough kin and that we're survivors, I...really needed to hear that. I don't think I've ever been in a good enough place, mentally, to actually take the time to consider that maybe it isn't just an abundance of luck... I'm not the strongest person out there, but I do know that I am tough. I can tell that when I tell people around me stories, people older than me, and those younger as well. Sometimes it feels so normal to feel like you're fighting the world and everything in it that you forget how much it takes to even exist where you are today. And sometimes you crest that mountain, and you feel okay, and you start to forget just how hard it was to scale. I didn't expect to cry today, but it was a cry that was well deserved. What a wonderful video, and wonderful message.
That little "...what the fuck" at the end of that really long inspirational speech thing seemed like just a way for Mark to keep himself from getting emotional and even crying on camera and that's a big mood. That question hit me hard, i would not want my last day to be people crying and mourning because they'll loose me as soon as the night comes in and leaves for the next day. Im also a very indecisive person, but i'd say no honestly. I would want to see people happy around me, even those i hate deeply. I mean i know i have no faith in humanity and i don't really feel bad when big incidents happen and lot's of lives are lost because i am selfish and i care about myself only, wich is something i heartly hate about me. But i would remember those days that i just wanted the day to end just to go home and play games all night. My last day to live, would be the day i'd never want to it to end.
Honestly I would be super pissed if someone close to me had one day to live and never told me. Losing someone suddenly is an experience that STICKS with you. It most recently happened to me in January, and that wasn't even a death, just an incredibly nasty betrayal from someone I've been best friends with for years, so losing them in such a way at least gives me the emotional crutch of losing my trust and respect for them as I try and learn to live without them. If someone close died and didn't let me say goodbye properly, I might never really find closure, unable to process what happened. I can understand hesitating to tell people because you don't want to make them upset, but in the long run for their mental health after the fact, avoiding disclosure would be an incredibly poor decision.

You know, as somebody who has watched Mark for a long time I know he's very kind and a lot of people respect him but I feel like the people who say he's mean clearly haven't seen that side of him, especially the video where he got his wisdom teeth removed. It gets pretty emotional and he just tends to make us all laugh. There's been just a few guys I follow that are in relationships, and their partners tend to make me uncomfortable. That is not the case with Amy. These two are an incredible sweet and loving pair. She's always got the best calm and supportive nature that understands how his ADHD works, and while you know she has to have extra patience, she's never been patronizing or scolding in any way. I think she really knows who Mark is and loves him for how he exists, and despite Mark seeming like a huge chaotic energy dingus, I get the feeling the pair of them are more often very chill and mellow together. I'm incredibly happy for both of them.

Hearing this got me tearing up. I always had a feeling my dad knew he wasn’t gonna live much longer. I remember him crying over the phone with me in the mental hospital and him in a normal hospital but he didn’t care about himself in that moment. He just wanted his daughter to live a happy and healthy life. Three days later he died, went to sleep and didn’t wake up. It was so sudden and I used to think he was selfish for that but I also couldn’t imagine seeing him slowly decline to death.
The cliche is that people want a chance to say goodbye to someone who is about to die. I was blessed to have a doctor challenge me on that and I realized I wanted, not to say goodbye, but to say I love you to my husband of 27 years. He was not really conscious but it didn't matter because I knew some part of him would hear it. Having one last phone call with your dad because he knew the end was near and he wanted to tell you how much he cared before it was too late was a wonderful thing.

I was bullied through elementary and middle school (susprisingly not much in high school, for some reason, people didn't bully me but they didn't really talk to me much either but I still had around a dozen people I'd consider friends). In middle school I finally got a taste of acceptance from "more popular" people when I became friends with someone whom I thought was a nice person with lots of friends, until I saw them start to bully one girl for being unattractive. Out of desperation for acceptance, I joined in on the bullying. I only did it once and I apologized to her for it but I still feel shame to this day about doing it, I was blinded by the chance to be popular and I abandoned my morals and I haven't forgiven myself for it.

Agreed. My best friend's husband dealt with anger issues for a long time, so much so that it nearly ended their marriage. He made him get counseling and it really saved many of his relationships, not just the one with my bestie. Anger is a difficult emotion to get a handle on because it's EASY to get angry, and it's easy to use it to hide other emotions, so it's truly an amazing thing when someone is able to work hard to get a handle on it.

Scrolling through the comments I've already seen about a dozen different words in the first handful so seems there's a lot.
There's actually a good chunk of offshoots by the same devs in this same vein of 'game' (although you're right about the two official 'sequels' for this game). Most of the others are somewhat less serious and/or fairly NSFW in nature but all of their quizzes, while varying in quality and entertainment value, are cheap and still quite fun to 'play' even if they only last an hour or less.

This game is fascinating. Spooking you to raise your defenses, then leading you out of it to lower them past what they were before. Reassuring you after you feel vunerable to make sure the message hits home. Making you really think about yourself on a deeper level. Whoever wrote the script for this game knew exactly what they were doing and I'm so impressed.

I have a tendency to beat myself up over every little thing and that can hurt my productivity massively, to know that not only am I not the only one with such negative traits, but I share them with someone who could manage to be so successful is simply reassuring, this was a great experience, thank you Mark!
What you're describing is a form shame. I think there are more people who understand and relate to where you're coming from than you realize. I don't know the extent to which this is affecting you, but if you find it's getting in your way and holding ypu back, you might be a candidate for some Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. (That is, if you've never had any.)
I won't go into the gritty details of everything I've been through, but being a recovering addict, I used to be well acquainted with shame. The fact that I had literally flunked out of my first attempt at college (among other failures and a plethora of health issues) was one of the biggest sticking points that affected my self-esteem and self-worth.
CBT helps you challenge the those thoughts, reframe them, and ultimately let them go. It was an essential component to clawing my way out of the pit I had, slowly, dug for myself. Now I'm 10 years sober, went back to get my BSC in Cell and Molecular Biology, and am now following my dream of becoming a medical doctor.
But you don't have to be an addict or dealing with suicidal ideations to benefit from CBT. I just used my story to illustrate how nothing is set in stone unless you never try again or unless you're dead. With enough determination and support, you can pick yourself up from the lowest of rock-bottoms and rise above it.
This is why Mark is one of my favourite online personalities. He shows that he's an actual human being. One that millions of people around the world love

As someone who struggles with viewing all my experiences as luck or lack thereof, rather than the actual input I may have put in, even after years of people like my mom telling me that I'm of tough kin and that we're survivors, I...really needed to hear that. I don't think I've ever been in a good enough place, mentally, to actually take the time to consider that maybe it isn't just an abundance of luck... I'm not the strongest person out there, but I do know that I am tough. I can tell that when I tell people around me stories, people older than me, and those younger as well.
Sometimes it feels so normal to feel like you're fighting the world and everything in it that you forget how much it takes to even exist where you are today. And sometimes you crest that mountain, and you feel okay, and you start to forget just how hard it was to scale.
I didn't expect to cry today, but it was a cry that was well deserved.

That little "...what the fuck" at the end of that really long inspirational speech thing seemed like just a way for Mark to keep himself from getting emotional and even crying on camera and that's a big mood. I don't think I needed this test to know you're a good person. I knew from the first video I watched that Mark is a substantially amazing human being. I've adapted a lot of his philosophies and I admire his strength. The test kinda hit him spot on.
Honestly, that ending brought me to tears bc I have been through a lot and I am still here. Through depression and anxiety, I'm still alive... listening to it being spoken in Mark's voice made it that much worse... it's a nice sentiment honestly. Why it's in his horror games Playlist, I'm not sure

That question hit me hard, i would not want my last day to be people crying and mourning because they'll loose me as soon as the night comes in and leaves for the next day. Im also a very indecisive person, but i'd say no honestly. I would want to see people happy around me, even those i hate deeply. I mean i know i have no faith in humanity and i don't really feel bad when big incidents happen and lot's of lives are lost because i am selfish and i care about myself only, wich is something i heartly hate about me.
But i would remember those days that i just wanted the day to end just to go home and play games all night.
My last day to live, would be the day i'd never want to it to end.
Honestly I would be super pissed if someone close to me had one day to live and never told me. Losing someone suddenly is an experience that STICKS with you. It most recently happened to me in January, and that wasn't even a death, just an incredibly nasty betrayal from someone I've been best friends with for years, so losing them in such a way at least gives me the emotional crutch of losing my trust and respect for them as I try and learn to live without them. If someone close died and didn't let me say goodbye properly, I might never really find closure, unable to process what happened. I can understand hesitating to tell people because you don't want to make them upset, but in the long run for their mental health after the fact, avoiding disclosure would be an incredibly poor decision.

You know, as somebody who has watched Mark for a long time I know he's very kind and a lot of people respect him but I feel like the people who say he's mean clearly haven't seen that side of him, especially the video where he got his wisdom teeth removed. It gets pretty emotional and he just tends to make us all laugh. Mark did a really good job and still is as a TH-camr, he's a great person and should never even think of quitting until the age gets to him which even then won't be a for a long time. We respect Mark!

God, I think Amy and Mark have one of the purest relationships I've ever seen. I'm glad it isn't extremely publicized like some TH-camr couples are. They just.. I don't know. They feel right together.
There's been just a few guys I follow that are in relationships, and their partners tend to make me uncomfortable. That is not the case with Amy. These two are an incredible sweet and loving pair. She's always got the best calm and supportive nature that understands how his ADHD works, and while you know she has to have extra patience, she's never been patronizing or scolding in any way. I think she really knows who Mark is and loves him for how he exists, and despite Mark seeming like a huge chaotic energy dingus, I get the feeling the pair of them are more often very chill and mellow together.
I'm incredibly happy for both of them.
