For me the most crucial aspect of playing Wachet Auf is the correct tempo and warmth of the sound. I enjoy this tempo very much. In fact I love it. So many people rush it, and I just can't enjoy that cause you miss on so many magical little moments that are worth your attention. For obvious audio engineering reasons we can't get the most out of this organ to be transfered to yoututbe but the sound is far from bad. Thank you for a beautiful rendition.

Wonderful! I was reading the Bible passage that refers to this, and remembered Sleepers Awake, which is one of my favorite pieces. Then i decided to listen to your rendition. I know how difficult organ is. Beautifully done!

They had a small Henry Piicher installed in 1928 it had 14 Ranks I am not close to that church, I heard it needs a lot of work I played from 1993 to 2005 They did not have a choir, but they had a few solists who sang classical solos

In het bovenklavier heb ik als klankspits de Flageolet 1' . Dat maakt het tamelijk bijzonder qua registratie. De nagalm in deze kerkruimte die fantastische klinkt geeft deze combinatie iets bijzonders, vandaar. Het blijft een wat curieuze registercombinatie hoor vind ik bij dit beroemde werk.
Zelfs een 1 voet. In Purmerend gebruik ik een andere registratie. De flageolet 1 voet vind ik hier juist geweldig klinken; het mag ook wel eens anders geregistreerd worden vind ik, want in wezen is het een uitbundige compositie van J. S. Bach
