    Shradha Sharma writes -
    The first time Bhavish Aggarwal walked into the YourStory office more than 12 years ago, he was still a budding entrepreneur, excited to demonstrate the Ola Cabs app on his phone for me and the team. Today, as he walks me around the Ola Electric campus in Krishnagiri, Hosur, a 500-acre state-of-the-art facility aptly named the ‘Future Factory’, he is every bit as eager and energetic as he was at 24.
    Between then and now, the IITian-turned-entrepreneur’s business interests have expanded. From connecting passengers with cabs and offering fintech services, the 37-year-old has ventured into building electric vehicles, making cells, and setting up an AI company.
    He expects to launch two IPOs next year.
    Matrix Partners India’s Avnish Bajaj calls Bhavish a “digital industrialist”, and it is a fitting moniker.

      @@navneetbugalia4835 Tesla never bought another company. The car is their own creation, you could say that they did buy out some startups to scale their operations and that'll be true.
      Ola on the other hand just bought another company and renamed their vehicles and sold it as their own. The problem here is that they did ZERO R&D and the company they bought out made vehicles for Europe so just buying their tech and making them for India is stupidity, this is why so many of their scooters started burning randomly

    • @evthink
      @evthink 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@vitsboy46If it was so easy why didn't the company in Netherlands succeed by itself. Why they sold to others ?
      They wanted to come as fast as possible to market with EV Scooter. So they bought Etergo. If they were only dependant on Etergo, where did S1 Air, S1 X come from ? Also battery cell manufacturing was not done by Etergo, Ola is doing it.
      How did he even make Ola Cabs in the first place vs a large brand like Uber ?
      Talkers talk and Doers Do. Easy to comment like me and you. But if you can do something then do it and show.

      Recently bought the Scooter, but to my utter dismay it stopped running just after covering 5 kms. Had to manually push my brand new scooter to home for almost 4 kms on the very first day of delivery. To add to the agony was lackadaisical attitude of staff and service team, who have not responded to the service request even after 3 days of breakdown of a brand new scooter. Totally frustrated with the product. Don't ever buy this

      @evthink 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@arpitsingh4937Women are very careful in their work. They also don't ask for higher salaries or change jobs too often. So this is the reason the commenter above believes Ola Electric factory is all women. But keep in mind, that having a factory with max women is harder as skilled, ready to work women are harder to find based on Location and they might need full investment in their training.
      So it's not an easy task. Only People who fix the target and work hard can achieve it. Ola Electric HR Team should be commended for this success.

Have taken a vehicle in half way insurance company Icici Lombard send me a mail saying your policy is cancelled after chasing them for 2 months they rectified. The height is following from past June 22 I have not received rc book and I decided to visit Rto office were in I came to know that the vehicle is not register in my name and also the mobile number is not mine. From that I am chasing Ola n yet they have not resolved my issue. My next step is to go legal as I can’t ride my bike bcz it don’t have insurance.

      If man had waited for creating the perfect bullock cart before trying to make a car, we will still be driving bullock carts.
      The power cuts in bangalore only happen for repairs of lines or Maintenance works. Rarely there is long power cut for more than an hour. Already people are using EV Scooters and Cars too by just charging at homes.
      People who wait will keep waiting. People who adopt new tech will enjoy it.

      Shall we close all of indias Schools until all of India gets access to pumped fresh water ?
      Shall we make all doctors stop at MBBS until all of india has enough doctors serving every area ?
      Why should one thing block another ?
      You work on hospitals, let others work on other things ?
      What do you stand to lose if EVs become common ?

    I have a request for all the successful startup owners in India. Don't repeatedly say that India ka time aa gaya hai. If you visit sites around any railway station in India, you will see the real India, their poverty and everyday struggle.

      If you visit downtown area of San Francisco in USA, you will find lot of homeless, drug addicts and poverty stricken people.
      It is a hard problem, not easily solved even by 'developed' countries. So India can be growing and developing on one side while it takes time to solve the other issues.
