Thanks for watching guys! Have you tried going off the pill before? Was it a good experience or a negative one?

Madison Dohnt I did a couple of years ago and I got acne pretty bad too. I’m back on it now for contraception reasons but early next year I’m going to transition off it again with the help of my Acupuncturist and fingers crossed I don’t go through that horrible acne phase again.

@@jennaw3100 Yes I think it is a great idea to get acupuncture when you get off. I'm not sure scientifically how it all works yet or whether it was the natural supplement that I'm going to talk more about next week but I saw that a lot of women are recommended acupuncture for their hormone balancing. Good luck! I will be here for you if you have any troubles

Madison Dohnt it all confuses me haha but I think it’s good to be guided by someone when your doing it and that’s something I didn’t do last time. My Acupuncturist recommended I hold off because I have a sluggish liver and need to sort that out first so I will just follow her advice and see how I go. I will definately continue with the licorice tea though and maybe look into the supplement that you will talk about next week 😊 glad to hear your on top of everything though and it’s awesome that you are providing your experience with everyone so we can work through it together x

Yes I think that is great advice! I got my gut health sorted with probiotics after going off doxy before I then went of the pill. Couldn't do it all at once - body would freak out like it did the first attempt haha Yes please let me know what you think of the video next week when it comes out :) Keen to see what you think! Are you over on my insta community? Would love to support each other more! x

The 'periods' you get on the pill are not real periods. They are withdrawal bleeds. I stopped the pill 8 months ago and only now feel like I'm starting to get back to normal. I got my period back straight away but my skin has been all over the place!

Haha you were probably thinking about when I tried to change pills at the end of last year. Basically I'd heard the high Estrogen pill had worse side effects which is why I tried to go down to a lower strength pill but broke out severely. Once I cleared that acne I then attempted to go off it all together and was successful because it did it with the right supplements and education this time :) Just posted my next video about what supplement I used actually!

I’m so glad I came across your video as I’m doing some research in terms of affects after coming off the pill. I have been on it for 4-5 years and also recently got out of a long term relationship. I'm 21 and I've had acne for around 10. It's getting worse and worse so I'm going to see my doctor next week to discuss. For the last year I've wanted to go of hormonal birth control. I used the pill for a few years and now have an IUD. The only reason that I haven't gotten my IUD out is because I don't want to get pregnant right now, ofcourse. I'm too young to fully trust on barrier methods and I've read that an copper IUD has a risk of causing infertility.
Does anyone have advise for non-hormonal birth control if you don't want to get pregnant?

I think my acne is hormone based, its hard to determine the root cause, but I can't see what else it could be. I was on the pill for 10 years, came off around 18 months ago and my acne is still pretty bad.
I've been vegan for several years, I've done a bunch of dietary supplements, skin care routines, taking pro-biotics, cutting sugar and carbs from my diet, etc. I can't afford the hormone tests you've spoken about before, what can I do to balance hormones without knowing exactly what the imbalance is, or whether that is truly the problem? :/

The root cause of your skin issue is your diet. You are probably suffering from hyperthyroidism. Your body is constantly in a battle with all the natural pesticides, oxalates etc plus all the carbs you consume nonstop. It's a natures way of saying you are not healthy. You should really listen to some of these carnivore doctors that explain it in detail why you are having the issue that you are suffering from. Being vegan is noble and all but it's as far away from our natural ancestrial diet as possible hence all the nowadays health problems.
