This is a great example of 2 very different picking styles by 2 amazing musicians. Olli's right hand fingers are more fist shaped with his 4 fingers close together and curled under the T and his pick position more under to the T than I. Joscho has a more open hand technique with his I, M and R fingers extended towards the T with more space between each finger and his pick is positioned higher from the T on the I. So interesting!
Joscho is incredible - no argument. But all I hear is a show-off. Playing everything all at once - and yes, playing it well, but no genuine phrasing, just waiting for the chance to 'out technique' someone else. I don't feel the same intent. Sorry fam
World class. Should be in the millions of views. An underrated genre.
