Just came back from Iceland after a trip of 9 days.
They built a wide bridge that you can drive across, (turn left at about 3 km before view point) then turn right on a very bumpy road for about 2km to a parking lot (at 1:45 in the video). 4x4 is recommended, but not necessary during good day. From there, walking about 3km to the Canyon, or you can hike 5km to the Canyon.
BTW, there is nothing to see from the view point on west side, you HAVE TO go to the east side.

I love driving there compared to Orlando… so stress free! It almost feels like you’re on a different planet when you are there. Beautiful views and great video thanks for sharing 😊

Very cool hike! Iceland is on my bucket list. Greenland is as well. There’s only so many countries I want to go to.

How long did it take to walk from the second parking lot to the canyon?

do you enter and exit the same way if you go to the second parking lot? It doesn't look very wide if there's more than one car

Yes, you do enter and exit the same road. I’m not sure how they pass actually! Someone must pull off in the grass 🫤
