That is a winged flood bar that I made by attaching a piece of, I think, 1.5" aluminum to the original food bar. The piece has wings bent out on it to help keep the ink in the path of the squeegee.
+kevin bogle i just bought a mini horizon. I just dont like the gap between flood bar and the squeegee are too far. Can u take a pic of the flood bar please? How do i like the anatol?
Well, hopefully you check this often. I am very new to screen printing and I work for a small company. I want to try doing a 4 color print tomorrow; I noticed you are doing wet on wet; how do you keep from having a problem with the ink getting onto the back of the screen? I was worried about only having 2 flashes, but I see that you're only using one.
After you run a few shirts, in most cases the screens will have a build up of ink on the bottom that will not transfer as much later. Are you using an automaitc?
Well, turns out the hardest part wasn't worrying about ink transfer; it's trying to get white to come across without that fibrillation and dull look too it. I was finally able to get a pretty bright white, but it still has the fiber showing through.
4 color design; grey, yellow, red and lastly white, on a black shirt. Thank you for taking the time to respond as well, it means a lot. I've been trying to figure this out for the last 2 days and it's killing me lol
Looks great, nice work!
COOL
How many 1 color shirts can you do per hour?
Looks great! Curious though....why you'd 2 stroke the red?
Shecki It was a heavy ink that just laid down better with the second stroke.
how much like this machine?
Just noticed the floodbar for the black ink is a lil different. What is that?

+kevin bogle yeah its going to be on automatic. So if I run a few tests it should go away?
