Why would you recommend this for fluke/ lightweight jigging? This is a casting reel, for casting. They make a high speed version to suit your need. Great to see the reel up close but definately misrepresented by your review.
Hey J and H, I’m looking into getting the squall low profile in either 300 or 400 size. I plan to use the reel for inshore striped bass fishing, in the 18 to 28 inch fish range. I’d like to know your thoughts on which reel would be better suited for that type of fishing. I am also looking for a good rod to pair with the reel in the $100 dollar range. Please share your thoughts. Thanks

Hey Josh small correction. Penn ht100 drag is not their best. The dura drag is their best drag system

It's one size difference so they are similar but the 300 is the natural next size to the 200.

Spool it up with 15lb braid and stick it on an 8½ steelhead rod to cast plugs, spoons, jigs and bait in the surf.

That's going to be an individual preference. Try out different setting until you find something that works for you.
