I know it is not a much popular type of video, but Spud, I really like these long mission videos. The start of it, then rain, the Apaches taking off, then the Harriers... you feel the immersion, the weather, the cold. Very nice videos.
Just watch the harrier flying in one of this missions is such a Joy; you are such a salesman for ED man. I would buy It if I had the spare money and time for it. I guess I personally prefer to wait for the possible harrier GR.3
I fly DCS with a PS4 controller and still combat ready. (For most missions). I used the PS button as a modifier key. Gets most of my HOTAST functions covered.
Just got my Thrustmaster system. Came with the T.16000 stick with the throttle and rudder pedals for the floor. It is a game changer. Pun intended. It's the first time I have used actual rudder pedals for flying. I was like a newborn colt trying to walk for the first time. Shaky. But now I got the hang of it I can't imagine a sim without all three controllers. Magic!
Hi Spud still loving your vids thank you. Can I ask if you are using SRS or the new in-game comms function? What are your thoughts so far on the in-game comms? Thanks 👌
Are you using custom ENB settings or has the cockpit of the harrier gotten a texture retouch? Seems to be crisper and have better shadows. Been over a year since ive flown it.
Took a bunch of 20MM hits to the fuselage which am surprised didn’t do more damage to the engine, destroyed the AHRS system along with the SAS system. Aircraft was teetering on the point where it was uncontrollable when I first got hit and had to use rudders in order to roll the jet as opposed to ailerons. So there might have been a hydraulic issue as well.
That Skyhawk pilot is probably very salty they didn't get to shoot down a piece of American aluminum. I would've signed up for this mission, but I'm way too new to DCS, lol.
Just wondering... Do you use any auto pilot in these aircraft? It seems that way, but I'm not there to really know... Maybe one day, I'll have a big boy computer that can handle DCS! And some of the other up-to-date sims! I guess it shows just how slow the Harriers are, to take fuel from a C-130. Or, maybe the C-130 is just that fast! As you were preparing for the attack, you had a breaker on the panel go red. Dump your stores of munitions before losing fuel. I couldn't tell if you had already done that, from the quick glance from the view of your external aircraft. I wouldn't have thought 7,000 pounds of fuel to be too much weight to land. Not if you dumped your external tanks and munitions. And then, not after flying out to the carrier. Your internal fuel is more important to remain aloft, than bombs and external tanks. And to get you home...

Some of them are REALLY popular! Check my most viewed vids!
1hr plus is my jam!
True, I absolutely love these. Maybe even my favorites.
Great Mission today, Spud! Really fun flying with you. I'll make sure I practice Case III in the 'Cat for next time lol
Seeing that skyhawk back there was like some top gun stuff!
Great job Spud. I only fly the Harrier mostly in DCS.
I gotta fly it more! Jeez I wish it had a Data link haha
"Pidgeon Statics"...You did it again. LOL!
Those darn Cessna 172’s will always getcha! Haha in all seriousness that was very entertaining to watch!
Ah yes the cool skyhawk or the boring skyhawk?! A question asked since the 1960’s haha

This was a great one spud!, my first as well. Thanks for being a great lead! - Avenger 3-2 “Phoenix”
Haha I dunno about great lead I was basically lost in the clouds the whole mission haba
@@Spudspike Ha! Even so though, that landing at the end was awesome!
That was awesome, I really enjoyed that.
Bravo Zulu and an air medal plus a write up in Approach Magazine.
Hahaha 🤣
You got a link to your trackir profile? It’s sooooooooooo smooth
Alsoooo what comms plug-in is that? It sounds more real than srs
Idk what your setup is but the fact u didn't even look and got that refuel was pretty bad ass

I’d go with two modifiers you can fit a lot more controls, on my Xbox controllers I use the bumpers as modifiers so it’s easy to reach every button
Lets join up a controller crew. I been using the PS4 controller for a long time, and I have track IR as well.

14:00 that was Highland talking about getting disconnected before the restart. He had meant to send on our flight freq.

Nice job!!
Looking crisp 😎👌
Anywhere we can find these Kneeboards? They look beautiful =)
whats this kneeboard youre using? it looks so much better and more organized then what i have
Love these long missions. They are the best! Keep them coming!

All my footage is 100% stock DCS World. The only mods you see is the A-4 that shot my ass up haha
"wargle wargle wargle" spudnocker: "copy that". I can't understand anything that comes over the radio.
Listening to radios is like learning to speak Latin hahaha
Nice landing
Hi Spud, just wondering if you ever worked with "VAT Sim?"
I know MS Flight Sim and X Plane are compatible with VAT Sim. Not sure that DCS is.
Great video mate! I think this is the most FPS I have seen in the South Atlantic map so far! Please come pay us a visit on our Falklands map! 🙏
Got the apache but I'm so ass at flying it, I don't have pedals. I gotta learn cpg.
Ok...That was WAY too cool for school. BTW what battle damage did you Harrier take?

So mad I couldn't make it. I was there for the brief but something came up and I had to go.
Does Spud use VR or TrackIR currently?

If I remember correctly. They use alt and heading holds. Been awhile since flying the Harrier
dont use exsternal views it will make things more intense
the vid is very good but i would like to see you using your plane to destroy something.
Hi
