    Test rode a Thruxton R on this last Saturday (the 15th) and I loved it. After trying several motorcycles from a ZX6R to a Moto Guzzi V7 Racer and a Bonnie I believe I have found what I'm looking for. Now the right incentive has to come around from Triumph.

    • @BurtoniMotors
      @BurtoniMotors  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I feel like the demand for a Thruxton R is always high, I feel like they never need to incentives people to buy it. Especially at 15k. How did you enjoy the Guzzi?

    • @TravisWolfe101
      @TravisWolfe101 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Guzzi was nice but they have a few things that while unique can be a pain later on. The shaft drive can be a pain to lubricate when needed and the bike itself always felt like it wanted to drift off to the right ever so slightly because of that. It also seems like the Guzzi compared to the Thruxton had a lot of cheap parts on it. The clutch on the Guzzi also is something to note. It wasn't the easiest thing to pull which for me is a big deal in deciding what to buy or ride. Not saying I didn't enjoy it because I did but if something ever went wrong it would be a pain to get fixed. Not really much of a dealer network in the USA.

      Yeah, I’ve heard the Guzzi network in the states is rough. When I lived in NYC there was one two blocks down, but when I went to my family’s place in colorado it was 4 hours away. Kind of hard to take that over a Japanese bike or even triumph who had a better support system.

    Danke für dieses tolle Video... habe das Bike gestern auf dem Sachsenring beim Fachhändler gesehen...allerdings mit einer oldshool Rennkanzel ... hammer hammer geil... ist mir sofort ins Auge gefallen.
    Kannst du mir sagen wie groß du bist? Ich bin 1.88m und da ist es manchmal schon schwer gemütlich zu sitzen

      Hey there! Hopefully it's okay if I switch to English, my German is still awful. I'm 178cm so a bit shorter than you. It's not the most comfortable bike, but no real cafe bike is because of the riding position. It gives me a lot of smiles, so I would be okay being uncomfortable for the looks.

    Would you recommend this as a first bike?

    • @BurtoniMotors
      @BurtoniMotors  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would not. The overall position is pretty tricky and not comfortable. Since you are so front heavy it makes it hard to maneuver at low speed, something like the Triumph Street Twin has a more upright seating position where you aren't laying over the handlebars so much. I would suggest looking at the Triumph Street Cup if you want the Thruxton look with the smaller 900cc engine.

    Since the Thruxton is ride by wire, Road mode dampens throttle response. At almost 100 bHP, Sport mode with all electronic assists off (Traction control/ABS), the Thruxton acts like a completely different bike. In other words.....put her in sport mode! (also - sport mode can be turned on and TTC and ABS can remain on)

    • @BurtoniMotors
      @BurtoniMotors  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I feel like that might of opened up a completely new bike for me.

    • @brianthomason6690
      @brianthomason6690 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BurtoniMotors indeed, only downside is every time you start the bike, it doesn't remember what you put it in prior. It defaults to road and ABS/TTC on. Minor grumble but still a great bike!

      The speedmaster ticks off a lot of check marks for me, the bike is extremely stylish. I would love to get my hands on it for a few photography shoots.

      @@BurtoniMotors It's not necessary and like the new cars-people can hack into it. What was wrong with the way it was? Nothing. If it works perfect leave it the hell alone.
