Counted Righteous for the sake of one greater, Jesus Christ my Lord. To have the righteousness of Christ imputed to such a vile, sinful and wicked creation as myself is alone enough to break me each and every time I think about it. To God be the Glory for our salvation.
R C Sproul had such a unique way of communicating the most basic or the most intricate information and knowledge in such a clear straight forward fashion - I can listen to him all day and it feels like being wth an old friend having a wonderful fireside chat about the most important matters one could ever contemplate
So you are legally granted the status of being righteous , but you are not righteous in yourself. Proverbs teaches us that whoever calls the wicked righteous to be an abomination. You believe in a legal fiction if your salvation is based on imputation. You have a relationship with a legal status from a judge, but you don't know God as father.
@@mr.e1220 it is only a legal fiction if Christ”s were unrighteous or never rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:14), and then you are right we would still be in our sin. But Christ is risen (1 Corinthians 15:4-5), this is not a fiction but a reality. And what did Christ rise for ? For our justification he indeed rose (Romans 4:25). There is nothing fictional in the scripture, except to the unbeliever that is perishing it is fiction, but to the believer the gospel (the imputation of Christ”s righteousness) is the power of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16 and 1 Corinthians 1:18).
@@billk8874 the Bible never says we are imputed with the "righteousness of Christ." It is our faith that is counted as righteousness. He who is righteous must do righteousness. God doesn't call us righteous even though we are still unrighteous. That is what I am against. There are Christians that I have spoken to that believe that no matter what they do that God doesn't see their sin and only sees them perfect and righteous because of imputation. That is a lie.
I believed in Christ for the forgiveness of sins in 2002 but only knew that I was righteous by imputation in 2013. It has changed my life and given me greater assurance in the Lord. Jesus never sinned but became sin on the cross, so that we who were ungodly became righteous by His resurrection. He was delivered for our sins and was raised to make us righteous. Christ lives in us, and we can now live righteous lives in love not perfect of course because we stumble in many ways but His righteousness and perfection has been imputed to us because HE LIVES IN US.
There’s even proof of this happening in just what he said and how he behaved while on the cross. There was a point where he so completely lost his connection to God and was so divided from God all he could say is “My God My God why have you forsaken me?”
Thanks be to God for this message. It gives me good foundation upon which I can stand & rid my my soul of the tormented guilt that the enemy have brought many times through memory . So thankful of this message of assurance & confidence in the Righteous of Jesus through imputation . Thank you Lord Jesus, Thank you Father God.
R C SPROUL is such a awesome teacher of The Word of God! Why do we not have none like him where I live. Thank you Lord for these teaching of your Word 🙏
So good to hear this clear explanation of the big issue upon which the Reformers saved the Christian Church from all the distortion and corruption of Rome.
Amen..I believe in Jesus and all that he did for me. Never knew about imputation before. Thank you so much for explaining the blessing that comes through faith.
It is false doctrine. The hospital work comes before the courtwork. God will only declare in the final judgement after he justifies a person from their current sins. This sermon is high high deception.
The insight of scriptures God has given RC Sproul, is amazing. If you don't have any of his books, please buy them. It would be a wonderful investment in your library
I'm guessing that most people commenting here have read Piper's book by the same name since RC highly recommended it but if you haven't, it's worth your time. Thank you Ligonier for keeping and adding more of these videos for those of us who really need more time working through these doctrines!!
IT IS A PURE MIRACLE THAT GOD CHOSE CERTAIN SINNERS, AND FORGIVES THEM THRU FAITH IN HIS SON, THAT THEY MAY GLORIFY HIM IN PUBLIC AND LIVE A LIFE OF HOLINESS, TAKING AIM ON ETERNITY... LOVING JESUS TAKES COURAGE AND FAITH TO THE PERFECT LEVEL OF BEING HIS IMAGE !!!
Amen one's works are the Faith you have in Jesus Christ his works on the cross, he has died for my sins that I did and is and will come to me, amen foregive me Lord for I'am Weak and you are Strong amen I'm only a man

Is there any moment of a Christian's life, just one moment, when he could be measured against the Law and not be condemned? If no, then there is no other way we could ever be declared righteous, except by the fiat declaration of God. And this fiat declaration is grounded on baptism - Christ dying because he was imputed our sin and we rising because we are imputed his righteousness.
Sarah Ward. How can God accept. some and turn others away. When we truly believe in His Son Jesus Christ His only begotten Son! So we know His Word is truth. Only Believe in His Son whom He has sent.! Thank You God for your beloved Son.!
Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. You are righteous by faith… which WORKS by love! The man that does right is righteous ( 1john). Righteousness comes by transformation not transference!
But what is "righteousness"? It is the love of God in you... abide there in Christ! Love is the life and light of the spirit, it's fruit is righteousness, kindness and truth. What was hidden from you since the beginning. Do all in Christ... This is not religion. The truth sets free. Righteousness; founded in the love of God and bound by the truth!
Romans 4.23,24...Abraham exercised faith in God's promise to him and it was counted to him as righteousness. We too can be counted righteous by God because we believe He raised Jesus our Lord up from the dead and promised us a new and peaceful kingdom under his reign. He who was delivered up for our sins and was raised up for our justification, for counting us righteous. John 3.16...everlasting life as a result of faith. Matt6.9...Jesus said to pray for God's kingdom to come. Is65.17,2Peter3.13,Rev21.1...a new heaven and a new earth promised to us by God.
Sooo!! One's sins are forgiven but what is our righteousness? If I was to poke at it with a stick what would it actually be? One option is it's a piece of paper on which all the righteous doings of Christ's life on earth are wrote and so the image is of double imputation or a swap of records. So this seems intuitive and probably right but..... is there another idea too. One worth considering. What if we have been given a real actual righteousness rather than a mere paper one? Now a paper one would be good! Essentially I need two things sins gone and a righteousness to fill the void. If I only had my sins forgiven that would not be sufficient as wonderful as that is but I still would need something to promote the soul as being good. Only the righteousness can enter. So if I have the correct paperwork of righteousness then I can enter! Here are my problems. The bible never says there is a piece of paper with all the things Jesus did written on it that's given to us. Well you might say that the bible implies such a piece of paper, such a record of the things Jesus did, being handed to us but there is no inference. Ok so what am I saying. The bible says we get Christ. That's not a record of his life. You might say but if we get Christ surely it would be easy enough to imply we might get this record too. You can't have someone but exclude who they are and have been. This seems true. But likewise you can't have someone and exclude who they are and what they will do. Trying to clarify, this doctrine of imputation puts as primacy above all else the attributing or the tying to the soul the tag of deeds of Christ. This primacy is over and above the actual having of Christ. How can a paper Christ be better than an actual Christ. It's easy for me to make this complaint as there is no verse to tell me otherwise. Find the verse that says the tag is more important than the Christ. Find the verse that evens refers to the tag!! There isn't one. I know that in systematic theology occasionally one is left to infer things but not when the issue is said to be the fundamental pillar. I rather my pillars were a little more solid than this one. The next problem is that it then denigrates the present works of Christ in us as inferior or less righteousness as the tag. Is something righteousness or not. Is there degrees to righteousness or is something half righteousness. Peter heals the beggar at the gate. This doctrine teaches that some inferior righteousness is on display. I disagree. Can there really be any degrees or levels here. One might say well Peter still sinned as we know all believers still have sin. This makes any of his righteousness acts tarnished, less than what is needed, not exemplary of full righteousness but more of a kind of half righteousness. My problem here is twofold - this idea is questionable, it seems better to think of sin and righteousness like oil and water that can't mix. Yes you might have a container of oil and water and you could shake it up but ultimately the one does not mix with the other i.e. The two stay separate. Yes one has sin, sin that is eternally removed, discounted, atoned for so what does that leave. It leaves righteousness that this doctrine still will have to denigrate. But it is not man this doctrine denigrates but the work of Christ in us. Piper likened this work of Christ to 'filthy rags' . Now is this denigration warranted? Secondly and more importantly where is it warranted? No verse at all says this! Not a hint or wiff of it. So there it is!
Frank Z I agree that if you repent God will forgive you. Repentance comes from the heart. At some point, no matter how much you say you are sorry, if you continue sinning at some point you are no longer following Christ but following the devil. Thus you lose your inheritance.
Genesis 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. 26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; 5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. Notice how he skips the scripture that shows his faith alone is nonsense. Faith without love, without obedience is dead. Jesus did not obey the law for us so we are free to walk in sin, in evil and still be saved. That is not in the bible anywhere. We must be righteous by his Spirit in us. Luther claims we cannot obey and don't need to. He was never in the Spirit. Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Only the wicked cannot obey the law of God. 1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil;
But he doesn't explain exactly when this imputation happens...He is not alone most don't. It can lead to a works gospel. It happened the moment you believe in Christ. Acts 13:31, along with 39 other things at the same moment like ,placed by the H.S in union with Christ, sanctification, sealing by the H.S. , the believer becomes a child of God and a member of the Royal Family Of God. He has eternal life imputed to him or her etc. All these things are a free gift from God .
What is His righteousness? This verse will explain a lot! 1Co 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. So in contrast “righteousness” is the opposite of sin! So what is sin? 1Jn 3:4 Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. This makes “Righteousness” the “Law”! Warnings!!! Luk 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. Here Jesus is stating, those who “hear not Moses” (The Law) and the prophets, won’t listen to even, “though one rose from the dead”. Now look at this! (Jesus speaking) Mat 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Mat 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Mat 5:11 Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Mat 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. ****Pro 28:9 He that turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.
do you mean the same law of which scripture says "you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another - to Him who was raised from the dead" (romans 7:4), "and the commandment, which was to bring life, i found to bring death" (romans 7:10), "for what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit" (romans 8:3,4), "but if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of israel could not look steadily at the face of moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? for if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory" (2 cor 3:7-9) the law is not righteousness, it was given so that we would see that we need God's righteousness, which is Jesus!
@@becbennett1901 The law of God reveals sin and death to this body. Jesus death gave us a way from that death to eternal life, but the law is not dead! Rom 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. We were created unto "good works" (Eph. 2:10). So we are to "Consent to do good works" (The Law). Rom 7:16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: This is all about the law of sin and death, and not that the law is abolished!!! Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. @@becbennett1901 So there's no misunderstanding, Rom. 7 starts with a law from our Lord, and shows how a woman (the Church) was married to a man who had died. This is to show how she's no longer bound to her deceased husband (by the law), but is now free to be joined to another (Jesus Christ). The whole point is to show us that we needed a Savior, because we will fail at perfectly keeping His law, but His law is the righteousness we're to constantly strive for. Psalm 119:142 KJV - Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth. Peter warns how Paul is hard to understand, but Paul kept the law, observing our Lords Feasts and kept the Sabbath. 2 Peter 3:16 KJV - As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
@@becbennett1901 Looking at Romans 7 many in the Christian Church teach and believe the law of God is DEAD! In fact in the KJV the heading reads: Released from the Law. Is this true? Rom 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. Well let’s go back to the beginning of chapter 7 and see what it says. Rom 7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? Rom 7:2 For the woman (The Church) which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband (Sin) so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband (sin). Rom 7:3 So then if, while her husband (sin) liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband (sin) be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man (Jesus). 1) Do you think Paul would use a law of God to say that the law is dead? NO! 2) What happened to cause The Most High to divorce Israel? Jer 3:8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also. 3) Does this mean the two (Divided Houses of Israel) were now dead to God’s law? YES! The reason is because we need a Savior to free us from the law of “Sin and Death”! Not that the law was dead, but because they were joined to another husband (Idolatry…) they became dead to God, and He is the law! The punishment for sin is death! Rom 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. Rom 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. 4) What happened that “we” became dead to the law? Rom 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. So what is Paul saying? When a person hears the commandments of God then they understand that they’re in sin (“sin revived”), and again the punishment for sin is death!!! 5) Does Paul or anyone in the Word say that the law is DEAD? NO! Continue reading this chapter. Rom 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. So if the law is Holy, Just, and Good should it be Killed? Rom 7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful. It is now sin that must be put to death in us (Our husband’s death, so we can be married to the Lord Jesus Christ!) 6) So what exactly is Paul saying? 2Co 5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. 7) What do we put on? Rom 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. Did our Lord and Savior obey the law of His Father? Yes! 1Jn 2:29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
Who will you obey? Will it be your doctrines, or the Word of God? Act 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
@@ronevartt7537 i think you misunderstood me - i didn't say the law is dead or bad, i just said it's not righteousness, which i think you agree with, although it was hard to be sure, you wrote a lot back. righteousness is Jesus and He helps us live greater than what the law even requires, but the law is not our righteousness, though it is holy. maybe my wording wasn't clear, I was just meaning that Jesus is greater than anything, and He is the reason I stand before God, forgiven, holy and righteous.
Wow! This is false. Why? There is no such things as mortal nor venial sin... There is no such thing as salvation shall be lost. Why because once you are born again through the Spirit. Through faith. You are called the son of God. Yes we are sinners. We are not like God who can't sin anymore. There are list of sin which brings us to hell if God's Spirit is not in us. It's the Holy Spirit who makes us perfect. Our flesh can no longer enter the kingdom from of God because it's carnal. Salvation is only by faith alone, by Grace. Not of works. I've been a Catholic for 18 years and even wanted to go for Seminary school however I thank God my mind was open. I really consider the teachings of the Bible verse by verse and it's so evident that the bible has never thought salvation and works is neededtogetto heave. Salvation can be lost. From Genesis 1:1 to revelation 22:21, there's no evidence that salvation alone is wrong. Some protestants, Baptist, or Pentecostals under are correct of their understanding that only faith alone can save us. Jejovas witnesses, Catholics, Seventh Day Adventist, Mormon's, Eglesiani Kristo and some Pentecostals, or born again denominations teaches wrong way of salvation which is only by works, church membership, following the tend commandments, doing good works can save us. I pray that you all would understand that only by faith we are saved We just need to repent of our sins from our hearts and acknowledge our sins and accept that we deserve to go to hell. The believe that only Jesus can save you. Accept Him as your personal Savior. After this then you are called a Christian, saint, a follower, a sheep, a saved, a salt of the earth, children of God. Now that you are bound for heaven, sin can't take away your Salvation because Christ's is in us. Christ's is our advocate. But I'f we continue to sin, God will physically punish us who are His children. God will descepline us as His Child. We must be a follower of Christ because we are Gods children. We should be like Christ. We must follow what God wants us to do so the unsaved people may see Jesus in us. The unsaved may see the Bible in us. Satan will do his best to tempt us Christians to do all the sin the Bible has mentioned. Yes we Christians can still be tempt to fornicate, drink, or do any sin that is against God. But not to the extent thT you will continually enjoy doing it. We would feel that guilt inside of our hearts. That is the work of the Holy Spirit. If we egnore the Holy Spirit then watch for God punishment. The last thing God may do to a. Backsliding Christian is to end his life and be in heaven where you may no longer do sun. If we are an obedient Christian then there will be rewards in heaven. There will be different kinds of crowns. I challenge and pray to all backsliding Christians that you all must comeback to the walk if faith. We have a duty to preach the Gospel. Do not abuse God's love. Don't wait until God totally punishes you by ending your life. How shameful it is entering heaven. Without any reward. I believe that salvation can't be taken away if you are truly saved. I believe that there is no perfect Christians. I believe that even if we commit sin we are still saved. I believe in God's descipline. John 3:16 John 1:12. Ephesians 2:8-9. God bless you.
The question of whether God will take a backsliding center to heaven is an interesting one . Simon the sorcerer it said believed, but did he really believe. His lust came out when he saw the apostles putting their hands on people and then receiving the holy Spirit. he wanted to buy power he wanted to be the center of attention. He was not saved. He was a wolf in sheep's clothing. And we see Cain who was punished by God, but he wasn't saved.
@@frankz1664 Just read Ezekiel 18. The bible says he who practices righteousness is righteous as Christ was righteous. It does not say we get Christ's righteousness, how ridiculous is that. If we had Christ's righteousness we could never sin again. It is a lie. The devil told Adam and Eve they did not have to fear or obey God and Calvinism is teaching that same lie. Paul said the wages of sin is death. He was talking to the church. I guess he never heard of the imputed righteousness of Christ. It is nonsense. We are washed of past sins and empowered to walk in righteousness with the help of Christ in us and us in him. The new creation in the Spirit overcomes the flesh little by little and endures. Read Heb 3 and 4. We must work to ensure we endure until the end. All these people thinking they go through some magic door and are saved. The 4th commandment is a warning to remember your salvation and keep it holy lest you turn to sin and pollute it and lose it like the Jews did. Heb 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. 11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. If we fall off the path, stop abiding, stop loving and obeying God, like the Jews did we will lose our salvation.
The "imputation is real" says Sproul. That's why it's not a legal fiction. That being the case, Messiah is not God's "holy one" in death. Our sins were transferred to his account, "for real." When the righteous become wicked, their former righteousness is never mentioned again. (Ezekiel 18) Therefore, after Messiah became a sinner (the imputation is REAL remember) and then died as a sinner (to pay the punishment for those sins) his righteousness in his life is "mentioned no more" (again Ezekiel). With what righteousness, therefore, were we imputed? The righteousness of Christ no longer is mentioned or remembered, all that is remembered is his sin. How is Christ dying as "the lamb without spot or wrinkle?" He's literally covered in our sins (the way you say we are covered in his righteousness). If the imputation of righteousness is real then so is the imputation of sin. This is irrefutable. Which means Jesus died a wicked sinner. How does God justify him? How does God raise him from the dead? He's not holy, he's for real a sinner. He cannot repent of the sins for which he was imputed. Also, he paid the penalty and Christians teach the penalty is not just death but "eternal separation from God." The only way he could pay your penalty for your sins would be by remaining in hell for all eternity (for that is the penalty as taught by Christians). If God raises his son, a wicked sinner, then God is a respecter of persons. Your entire doctrine is full of holes you can drive a truck through.
Jesus died as a sinner, but once he died, that sin has been forgiven. He can not stay in hell because it is not his stay that will pay the penalty, but His blood. God raised Him from the dead, because the sins that are imputed to Him are already paid. He can not stay there, for there is no reason for Him to stay there. The people who stayed in hell, has died along with their sins unforgiven. But Jesus, carrying the sins of the world died, with the sins being forgiven when He said on the cross "It is finished".
From James 2 - What use is it, my brethren, if a man says he has faith, but he has no works? Can that faith save him? But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless? You see that a man is justified by works, and not by faith alone. For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead. Don’t buy into the lie that it’s “Christ’s works” that save you and somehow you are off the hook. You are saved by faith alone, but, if that faith does not produce a transformation of YOUR works, and cause YOU to walk in tangible, real righteousness, then your faith is DEAD DEAD DEAD and UNABLE to save you. The whole concept “foreign righteousness” is utter poppycock, nonsense and folly, the foolish doctrines of MEN. Unless YOUR righteousness exceed that if the scribes and Pharisees, you will NOT enter heaven, just as Jesus taught. From 1 Jn 3 - Little children, let no man deceive you: he that DOETH righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil;
@Jonathan Oliva he was not saying that he is saved by his works. But he is saying that our righteousness must exceed that of the Pharisees. We must obey God's Commandments if we love him. There is no salvation in anyone that does not obey the Commandments and continues to sin. No such thing as a magic cloak of righteousness that blinds God to our sin.
@@mr.e1220 There is neither salvation to anyone who tries to obey the law, because no one can fully obey it. If you failed at one, you failed at all. So the solution is not through our obedience but through faith in Christ and His work

@@jonnyheenan3205 Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? 53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. Jeremiah 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. He forgives, and he changes us. It's an authentic change. Many people in my church have been tormented by anger, resentment, lust, demons, and many other things and the one to deliver them was God. Can we physically understand it, no. Is there a science that explains it, no. The spiritual is not physical and we can't see it, but it's real. We can't understand everything nor will we; but God is the greatest thing that's ever happened to those who are really his. And I'm not talking about those clowns which claim to be Christians but are not. For the Bible says you will know them (his sheep) by their fruit
IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS Romans 4 5 And to the one who does not work but believes in him who JUSTIFIES THE UNGODLY, HIS FAITH IS COUNTED AS RIGHTEOUSNESS, 6 just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God COUNTS RIGHTEOUSNESS APART FROM WORKS: 7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; 8 blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin.” 2 Corinthians 5 21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him WE MIGHT BECOME THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD. Romans 3 21 But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it- 22 THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST FOR ALL WHO BELIEVE. For there is no distinction: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,, Philippians 3:9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, THE RIGHTEOUSNESS FROM GOD THAT DEPENDS ON FAITH Romans 5:17 For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and THE FREE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.18 Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. 19 For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. Isaiah 53:11 ... by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make MANY TO BE ACCOUNTED RIGHTEOUS, and he shall bear their iniquities.
@@Ggeg0000 Ok, please show us where the Holy Spirit has ever said: 2. Justification or be counted your faith as righteousness is: that the Christ's righteousness (fulfilment of law) is counted to us before God? Thanks if you find any text..
OK, here it is. Keep in mind, whose righteousness could it be, if it's not Christ's? He lived the perfect life in our place and that is how the Father can make us righteous. He couldn't make us and declare us righteous in amy other way 2 Corinthians 5 21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. Romans 517 For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.18 Therefore, as one trespass[f] led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness[g] leads to justification and life for all men. 19 For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so BY THE ONE MAN'S OBEDIENCE THE MANY WILL BE MADE RIGHTEOUS. 1 Cor 1:30 And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption,
@@Ggeg0000 "so.. By the one's man obedience the many will be righteous" You've got the point, please show all christendom through the Scripture that the very way our Father makes righteous is by counting the Christ's obedience to the Law as our. You can use Romans 5:19, 2 Cor 5:21, as a support and base for your declaration, but please note carefully none, neither Roms 5:19 nor 2 Cor 5:21, says what you are claiming: Our Father count the Christ's Law obedience as ours and so declaring us righteous. Show us through the Scripture that Roms 5:19 means: God counts Christ righteousness as ours, can you? You are reading there something that the text really doesn't says.
Of course it says it, it's right there 19 For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. That is double imputation right there. It is very clear my friend Look at the entire passage 17 For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ. 18 Therefore, as one trespass[f] led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness[g] leads to justification and life for all men. 19 For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. There's a correspondence between the actions of Adam and Christ. Just as through the act of one the many were made sinners, so by the act of the other (Christ) the many are made righteous. The sin of Adam is imputed to us from birth as we are born dinners but in Christ we are made righteous by his Righteousness 2 Corinthians 5:21 21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. If you don't see double imputation in these verses please explain what they really mean
Counted Righteous for the sake of one greater, Jesus Christ my Lord. To have the righteousness of Christ imputed to such a vile, sinful and wicked creation as myself is alone enough to break me each and every time I think about it. To God be the Glory for our salvation.

@@billk8874 the Bible never says we are imputed with the "righteousness of Christ."
It is our faith that is counted as righteousness. He who is righteous must do righteousness.
God doesn't call us righteous even though we are still unrighteous. That is what I am against. There are Christians that I have spoken to that believe that no matter what they do that God doesn't see their sin and only sees them perfect and righteous because of imputation. That is a lie.
I believed in Christ for the forgiveness of sins in 2002
but only knew that I was righteous by imputation in 2013.
It has changed my life and given me greater assurance in the Lord.
Jesus never sinned but became sin on the cross,
so that we who were ungodly became righteous by His resurrection.
He was delivered for our sins and was raised to make us righteous.
Christ lives in us, and we can now live righteous lives in love
not perfect of course because we stumble in many ways
but His righteousness and perfection has been imputed to us because HE LIVES IN US.
There’s even proof of this happening in just what he said and how he behaved while on the cross. There was a point where he so completely lost his connection to God and was so divided from God all he could say is “My God My God why have you forsaken me?”
Very well put.Clothed in the righteousness of Christ and wearing the robe of salvation.Keep writing your very good at it

So there it is!
How many times can you sin before Christ's righteousness is no longer imputed to you and you lose your salvation?
491 times
70 * 7 + 1
Mr. C does the kind of sin matter?
If you repent of your sins, he forgives. If you love your sins, maybe you should question whether you're a Christian
Frank Z I agree that if you repent God will forgive you. Repentance comes from the heart. At some point, no matter how much you say you are sorry, if you continue sinning at some point you are no longer following Christ but following the devil. Thus you lose your inheritance.
But we christ Christ crucified
Genesis 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. 26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
Notice how he skips the scripture that shows his faith alone is nonsense. Faith without love, without obedience is dead. Jesus did not obey the law for us so we are free to walk in sin, in evil and still be saved. That is not in the bible anywhere. We must be righteous by his Spirit in us. Luther claims we cannot obey and don't need to. He was never in the Spirit. Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Only the wicked cannot obey the law of God.
1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil;
(Jesus speaking)
Mat 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
****Pro 28:9 He that turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.
do you mean the same law of which scripture says "you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another - to Him who was raised from the dead" (romans 7:4), "and the commandment, which was to bring life, i found to bring death" (romans 7:10), "for what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit" (romans 8:3,4), "but if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of israel could not look steadily at the face of moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? for if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory" (2 cor 3:7-9)
the law is not righteousness, it was given so that we would see that we need God's righteousness, which is Jesus!

The law of God reveals sin and death to this body.
Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
This is all about the law of sin and death, and not that the law is abolished!!!
Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Also Jesus said:
Mat 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
Mat 23:2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat (The reading of the Law on the Sabbath):
Mat 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
What has Paul said about the law?
Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
Rom 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
DO YOU LOVE GOD AND OTHERS?
Keeping the commandments:
Mat_19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Joh_14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Joh_15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
1Jn_2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1Jn_3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1Jn_5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1Jn_5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
Rev_12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Rev_14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Definition of SIN!
1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
What do you think you should repent from?
Psa 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
Psa 19:8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
Psa 19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
Psa 19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Psa 19:11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
@@becbennett1901
So there's no misunderstanding, Rom.

Looking at Romans 7 many in the Christian Church teach and believe the law of God is DEAD!
It is now sin that must be put to death in us (Our husband’s death, so we can be married to the Lord Jesus Christ!)
6) So what exactly is Paul saying?
How did Jesus become sin is that the original text.
Although he did not sin he became sin by absorbing our sin and nailing it to the cross
The Holy Spirit saves...none other...that's what people deny...Christ saves,,, but by what???? And whom???
Good news..makes dying easy.

why is he teaching what is contrary to the pope?? Is the Pope not infallible anymore??
The pope was never infallible. He’s just a sinful man like everyone else who needs the grace of God and the righteousness of Christ.
Forensic justification....you mean saved by grace alone.
I pray that you all would understand that only by faith we are saved
We just need to repent of our sins from our hearts and acknowledge our sins and accept that we deserve to go to hell.
What exactly are you laboring..
Go make your own video , no one will your long long comment
The question of whether God will take a backsliding center to heaven is an interesting one . Simon the sorcerer it said believed, but did he really believe. His lust came out when he saw the apostles putting their hands on people and then receiving the holy Spirit. he wanted to buy power he wanted to be the center of attention. He was not saved. He was a wolf in sheep's clothing. And we see Cain who was punished by God, but he wasn't saved.
Eugene. Thanks for your comment. But how is the video wrong?
From James 2 - What use is it, my brethren, if a man says he has faith, but he has no works? Can that faith save him?
But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless?
You see that a man is justified by works, and not by faith alone.
For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.
Don’t buy into the lie that it’s “Christ’s works” that save you and somehow you are off the hook. You are saved by faith alone, but, if that faith does not produce a transformation of YOUR works, and cause YOU to walk in tangible, real righteousness, then your faith is DEAD DEAD DEAD and UNABLE to save you.
The whole concept “foreign righteousness” is utter poppycock, nonsense and folly, the foolish doctrines of MEN. Unless YOUR righteousness exceed that if the scribes and Pharisees, you will NOT enter heaven, just as Jesus taught.
From 1 Jn 3 - Little children, let no man deceive you: he that DOETH righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil;
So the solution is not through our obedience but through faith in Christ and His work
He's wrong please debate with me!! 🙂
Im listening😂
King Mufasa hello
There were four writers of the gospels never saw Christ sin. if Fes Jesus had sinned there would be salvation. Period. How dou you think we are xaved (if you do). My ea oops expevsive computer (over 11000). yes that is 3 0s. Thank God fyr wtexas

That's a laugh
What is?
There's not biblical evidence for imputation.
IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS
Romans 4
5 And to the one who does not work but believes in him who JUSTIFIES THE UNGODLY, HIS FAITH IS COUNTED AS RIGHTEOUSNESS, 6 just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God COUNTS RIGHTEOUSNESS APART FROM WORKS:
7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven,
and whose sins are covered;
8 blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin.”
2 Corinthians 5
21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him WE MIGHT BECOME THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD.
For there is no distinction: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,,
Philippians 3:9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, THE RIGHTEOUSNESS FROM GOD THAT DEPENDS ON FAITH
Romans 5:17 For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and THE FREE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.18 Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. 19 For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.
Isaiah 53:11 ...
by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant,
make MANY TO BE ACCOUNTED RIGHTEOUS,
and he shall bear their iniquities.

Thanks if you find any text..
OK, here it is. Keep in mind, whose righteousness could it be, if it's not Christ's? He lived the perfect life in our place and that is how the Father can make us righteous. He couldn't make us and declare us righteous in amy other way
2 Corinthians 5
21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Of course it says it, it's right there
19 For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.
That is double imputation right there. It is very clear my friend
Look at the entire passage
17 For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.
The sin of Adam is imputed to us from birth as we are born dinners but in Christ we are made righteous by his Righteousness
2 Corinthians 5:21
21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
If you don't see double imputation in these verses please explain what they really mean
