I just discovered Tom an hour ago and I have to say I am thoroughly entertained by his entire way of being. His style is all his own and nobody else is like him and that makes him a nearly extinct species!

I remember when I discovered Tom Waits. I basically stopped listening to any other music. Come to think about it, not much has changed 😅
for those keeping tabs at home.. that's Judah Bauer on drums and Russell Simins with the telecaster, both from Blues Explosion, and Larry Taylor from Canned Heat holding it down on the upright bass.. I'm so incredibly envious of the audience who just went to a Letterman taping one afternoon and had this absolute masterpiece presented to them for free
