Nice cheap tip,l use Everbuild PVCu solvent cleaner for this task and general de greasing on hard surfaces. It’s also great for removing dried on emulsion paint from just about anything, bet you guys knew that though! It’s got expensive but It’s very handy. I’ve learnt so much from your channel. Thank you.
This was helpful as I am just about to paint the kitchen and is does matter because if you don't move the grease from every surface it will impact on the outcome of your decorating 😊
Nice idea but another thing I do to make it easy clean everytime so u can just wipe it clean easy everytime is bit of baby oil wiped over helps keep shine and none of the dust sticks so literally wipe it off with kitchen roll or cloth and just add more baby oil after its been cleaned again
When I clean a cooker hood that's is really dirty and covered in what I call 'kitchen cupboard top fudge', I scrape the surface all over firstly with a plastic spatula. There's something very satisfying about seeing the 'fudge' come off in rolls and the clean stripe the spatula leaves behind it. It's easy then to go over the whole are with any kitchen cleaner.
I use those wipes that come in a pull out pack. Kitchen wipes/cleaning wipes. Hood come up clean and grease free. I thought this video would show how to clean the extraction fan
Stainless steel hoods are impossible to keep clean. No matter what you try they always look dirty. My solution was to replace it with slanted glass exhaust.
First class tips as always. Another nice little bit of advice to add to the arsenal. Thank you. All the best xx
So calming listening to you, you’re very thorough and methodical too! Good taste in music, reggae, Blue Danube what’s next!
The music is by Quincas Moreira , the song is Jah Jah Bangs enjoy :)

Have been using the baby oil trick for a while now on all stainless steel items, keeps them looking like new.
Agree that baby oil helps prevent this build up sticking but only if you clean it down regularly. Otherwise the oil gets too contaminated.
I use Flash kitchen spray followed by baby oil buffed with a dry soft cloth. No fingerprints or smears. Bring it up like new. Take minutes

Yep, agree. An old plastic credit card works a treat too. As it's plastic it won't scratch and will take the gunk off in a fraction of the time
I find car detailing all purpose cleaners at various dilution rates do this job quite well
Would Would sugar soap not work very well? good video and informative thank you.
It possible would, it is a degreaser just not strong as some. Thanks
You are a life saver and thats the best thing i have ever used in my life. Thank you so much
By any chance do you have any tips to clean carpets
Thanks, not sure about carpet but if it's paint you need to soak it with warm water.
What would you use to cover it to let it work more a bit, as I can't find a large enough plastic sheet

I see your now a cleaner. Good luck with your new job 👍
i use baby oil after cleaning looks fantastic no marks
How do i get the light cover off please and thankyou x
Not sure everyone can be different, usually screws or clips. You may find a very small opening near a cover so it can be gently popped off. thanks
@@PaintingandDecorating thanks i will try .Its defo not screw x
I wipe mine down every few days to stop it getting like that one 😂
Hi - great thank you 😀
Thank you so much many blessings
Thanks 👍
What? Its metal with grease and oil stuck to it. Just the same as a bike chain just use chain degreaser on it then polish.
YUCK it looks all scratched up at the end??
Thats the easy bit? How bout the filters underneath there a pain lol !!!
Sugar soap works OK aswell.
Builders wipes. Done
First apply a layer of fresh cooking oil, let it 'rehydrate' the sticky business, take it off with a milk bottle scraper, and then clean.

Do yourself a favour. Set the playback speed ×2.
👍👍👍
😎
wd40 does the job much quicker then baby oil for nice shine
WD40 does the trick as well
soak a rag in turps, much easier
Wd40 or white spirt or turps or even petrol 😅 much much better than this. Try a rag dipped in white spirit....tell me I'm wrong.
Methylated spirits. Half the pissing around, twice the results.
