Like, Brendan's story is just how bucolic America be. Its not that abnormal, unfortunately. Brendan's overall recovery is the more remarkable factor

Honestly, I watch his youtube channel, and never once thought he might have such a rough past. I grew up in a toxic household, as well, and am really impressed that he's as young as he is and doing as well as he does. It took me a very long time to recover and become an actual human being and not a primordial ooze of trauma.
It always slightly hurts my heart when he blandly retells something horrendous as if it were normal, because I have been in that position, and only realized things were so bad because of the reactions of others. But I am also glad that he doesn't hide it, because it lessens the stigma of growing up so, and maybe might make others realize that they should get help.
That guy in David's McDonalds Story really pulled out the dead rising strats out on those kids.
Brendan comes off as the most chill member of the Podcast compared to everyone else but he got the polar opposite backstory
