Just rewatched this movie and about Magnetos metal balls: I thought of them as some kind of mental exercise he is doing. Like training not to get distracted easily or doing multiple things at the same time. It actually made sense to me in comparison to many other scenes :D

Yet for some reason he spends the next 12 seconds immediately after saying everything he just implied aloud but without adding anything.

I love HISHE but much of their humor needs you to have watched the referenced scene. Because Pitch Meeting's premise is that the writer has to explain all the setup (since the movie doesn't exist yet) it works well even if you've never seen the movie.
"What Magneto's deal?" "He is a Holocaust survivor who thinks mutants will suffer the same fate as Jews in WW2, because humans fear and persecute them." "Oh. I was expecting you'd say something like 'He's evil', but it seems he's a villain with an actually credible motivation." "Is that a problem?" "I'll let it pass this time, but lets stick to 'He's evil' in the future."

2:48 I think that's easy to explain. The helmet is made of metal so Magneto uses his powers to affix it to his head so not even Sabretooth's strength could pull it off.

tbh he said they get their powers around puberty; not that they have full control of their powers around puberty ;) It's a weird choice nontheless, but knowing that Hollywood usually don't mess with kids in their movies (specially if you want something romantic around them), I get why they did it.

To be fair, as we know who wrote that Storm joke, if you imagine it being delivered as a quip with the inflection of Buffy Summers, it works. That’s not remotely how it was delivered and it didn’t land at all… but you know… hypothetically
I actually love the lighting toad line from storm, it's funny because of the delivery.... It subverts your expectations with the question and gives you an totally straightforward answer, it's like the chicken crossing the street joke.
The way he makes fun of it is hilarious, but it's not actually a bad line, considering it's towards the beginnings of the current comic book superhero genre boon.
For me, "do you know what happens to a toad when it's struck by lightning? the same thing that happens to everything else" was the most epic thing she could say

The original joke is that the toad "croaks" which has an actual punchline. Apparently the main reason was that Toad was supposed to have some one-liners where he says "Do you know what happens when a Toad..." which would have let this make a whole lot more sense.
When they pitch the movie: So did you cast it full of Asians to make it accurate to the original show and not seem super white washed which would ruin the movie for a lot of people? *Whoops! Whoopsie!*

A friend recently showed me "Pitch meeting" and I got hooked directly! So now I just want to binge everything. There been alot of superhero movies pitch but I would like to see (I haven't checked if you done any of these yet, sorry) pitch meeting about movies like Muppets Treasure Island, Rocky Horror picture show, Home Alone or maybe Gremlins. Maybe these movies don't have the content for a good pitch meeting (and Kee & Peele already did one on Gremlins 2) but I would love more none-superhero-movies pitch. Love the show! And thanks and all that.
Well, I guess when the time comes, it might make sense to do X3 and Dark Phoenix as the same pitch meeting but intercut with flashbacks to 2006 for the X3 bits complete with dress sense and hair styles etc for the time period.

No he couldn't Eric had guns on about 15-20 cops. Eric would have killed them if tried to remove his helmet. Which is why he had to let them go.
