I remember watching her concert on TV when it rained on her. She yelled out to the crowd "I'm not going anywhere! A man brought out a coat for her to cover up with and the crowd went crazy in the rain! She didn't have the Supremes with her. She finished out her concert even though it was pouring rain. That day her fans fell even more in love with her for doing that. The audience didn't care if was pouring down rain. They stayed to sing along and watch her perform. Her music was so powerful that it kept her fans from leaving ❤️.

One of my favorite possessions is the double Supremes Greatest Hits album that was released in August 1967. My big sister gave it to me for my 11th birthday on March 9, 1969. I just turned 65 yesterday. I have the album wrapped up in plastic and it hasn't been played on a turntable since the mid 1980s. It's without a doubt my favorite greatest hits compilation. So many awesome songs. They truly were supreme.

While I agree that society in general does not value the elderly, there are many 80 year olds who are thriving. Alot of it is luck and genetics but some of it is in how you take care of yourself, how active you are and your attitude.
@@ellenpapuga7469 I’m not that old yet, but my car got T-boned by a city bus. Caused a traumatic brain injury, badly injured both my knees as well as many other cuts and contusions. So, I have physical issues that were not caused by “not taking care of myself.” Far too many people make assumptions that elderly people have problems that are somehow the elderly person’s fault. It’s an ignorant stereotype.

There is nothing sad about Diana Ross. All careers and talented people have challenges, just like those not in the limelight. I have seen her live performances a number of times and she loves her fans, gives a 100%, and is always consistent in her presentations. A voice like liquid gold, she has influenced popular culture though decades. Finding solace is her poetry seems well deserved at this stage in her fulfilled life and that is not sad.

One of my favorite possessions is the double Supremes Greatest Hits album that was released in August 1967. My big sister gave it to me for my 11th birthday on March 9, 1969.
I just turned 65 yesterday. I have the album wrapped up in plastic and it hasn't been played on a turntable since the mid 1980s. It's without a doubt my favorite greatest hits compilation. So many awesome songs. They truly were supreme.
