I’m not really a beginner per say but one thing that I find hard and i’m sure others sometimes find hard is having the endurance when you play for a long time. I know when I practice for over 20 minutes, I notice my tone and technique start to get worse, so I play my best when I pick it up for the first time.
Hey there! Yes that can be a tricky one! Hopefully you've seen this tutorial of mine that uses overblowing notes (harmonics) to practice leaping octaves. Hope it helps :) th-cam.com/video/900IpIXFrPk/w-d-xo.html

Trying to memorize scales seems to be a challenge for me
As a beginner at 70 I need consistent embouchure.
Very good!
I have problems with the octaves defaulting to a lower (or higher) involuntarily.

Breath control and tone.
Hi, I am a real beginner and find the embouchure difficult and also the different octaves whistle.
I'd like to be able to have more air to play longer phrases instead of stopping and taking a breath at different places. Bigger lungs? Lol
Me too! Especially in the low register.
