Freddie is the best lead singer/frontman of all time. Brian is one of the best guitarists of all time and might be a better songwriter than Freddie Brian clearly wrote this with Freddie in mind as a singer. He managed to make this song his alone.

I love Freddie, of course, Roger and John - they each add their own talent and are amazing people in their own rights - but I admit, Brian has always been my 'favourite'. I mean, what a guy. Makes me both laugh and sad that he doesn't think he's a particularly great singer. Back to the Light is an *incredible* album, and I am so, so, so excited that it's finally getting the attention and recognition it deserves, all these years later. Never pre-ordered something so fast. This new 2021 mix sounds awesome (can't wait for the remaster of 'Resurrection') and I just know the whole package is going to be flawless. A true singer, a true guitarist, composer, and frontman. Fantastic. Back to the Light is a proper rock record, thirty years on.

I totally agree with Lindsey. Mercury and the boys write excellent songs...but Brian is a smidge better. His songs always move the heart and soul. "Gimme the Prize" makes me feel like I can call down thunderbolts, whilst "Sail away sweet sister" brings me to tears. Brian is a master of Heavenly metal. (Resurrection anyone?)

I e had the privilege to see Brian in 98 solo and he was amazing. Seen him 5 times with Freddie and 2 times with Paul Rodgers and 4-5 times with Adam. I’ve never been disappointed! Two positive things about this reissue: 1) Uncropped front sleeve photo of Brian 2) CD debut of Driven By You (Ford Advert version) Everything else was available on CD for about 30 years. Great! What a campaign!

I still say this is the best driving song, ever. It is still my favorite Queen/May song after all these years. Its a song to "give it the beans" to, which is ironic as it was playing on the stereo when I was stationary and had my car shortened by 2 feet in an accident. A Vauxhall hit by a Ford Orion. Two weeks of not being able to walk, all I had to listen to was "Back to the Light". Now, in 2021, its the first track on a self-burned compilation CD in the old Land Rover. The CD player is broken and won't eject the disc, and will only play the first track...

I feel so nostalgic and with mixed emotions watching this😢💖😊😔. I love this song, and I remember Brian s show on November 1992,in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was the 1st show I ever attended. I even met him at the entrance of the hotel in which he was staying 💖💖He was very kind💞💞. (Btw, I think that some of the images may be from that show and from Buenos Aires). He was not in his best shape, for personal yet known reasons, but it was tremendously moving. And Cozy Powell, rip😢 passed away some months later. And I've just remembered that I attended this show with my best friend and with a cousin of mine (who was like a son for my mom) who passed away (an accident with his motorcycle) last week😢😢. But yet, it's a nice memory

I e had the privilege to see Brian in 98 solo and he was amazing. Seen him 5 times with Freddie and 2 times with Paul Rodgers and 4-5 times with Adam. I’ve never been disappointed! I love it when he sings, his voice is so expressive.
I wish he would do another solo project where he sings!

I still say this is the best driving song, ever. It is still my favorite Queen/May song after all these years. Its a song to "give it the beans" to, which is ironic as it was playing on the stereo when I was stationary and had my car shortened by 2 feet in an accident. A Vauxhall hit by a Ford Orion. Two weeks of not being able to walk, all I had to listen to was "Back to the Light".
Now, in 2021, its the first track on a self-burned compilation CD in the old Land Rover. The CD player is broken and won't eject the disc, and will only play the first track...
And Ford was the parent company of Jaguar, Rover and Land Rover at one point in the 90s.

I feel so nostalgic and with mixed emotions watching this😢💖😊😔. I love this song, and I remember Brian s show on November 1992,in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was the 1st show I ever attended. I even met him at the entrance of the hotel in which he was staying 💖💖He was very kind💞💞. (Btw, I think that some of the images may be from that show and from Buenos Aires). He was not in his best shape, for personal yet known reasons, but it was tremendously moving. And Cozy Powell, rip😢 passed away some months later. And I've just remembered that I attended this show with my best friend and with a cousin of mine (who was like a son for my mom) who passed away (an accident with his motorcycle) last week😢😢. But yet, it's a nice memory
