    The "expensive" machine in this video is a dreadful indesit made whirlpool, better off with Bosch, Miele or even beko

      @Lloyd Johnson Sadly, the model I had developed a fault causing the electrics in the house to fuse and stopped working
      My cousin had the exact same model and the same thing happened but it actually damaged the wall socket in the kitchen
      My washing machine was 2 Years and 2 months old
      I now have a Beko machine, so far so good with the Beko

      you get what you pay for i have an AEG washer had it 6 years now Paid £475 for it been Faultless . When moved out of my parents in 2010 i bought a cheap Cookworks Microwave it lasted 2.5 years then i just bought a £450 Panasonic Combi Oven in 2013 and i still have it and still runs like Clockwork .

      My parents bought a Panasonic microwave with all the bells and whistles after they got married. I believe it was the bees knees at the time and probably cost near £1000 as well (although I can't say for sure) and 27 years later it's outlived every other appliance and operates daily without a complaint.

    I've a Bosch, it's not great and VERY LOUD! Wish I'd never bought it.
    I used a Samsung when I lived abroad, and it was great. It had a 15min quick wash, cold or warm, but was whisper quiet, a very appreciated feature.

      Interesting. I also have a bosch (Seri 8 German made) and it's quite quiet. Is it loud throughout? What type of sounds do you hear? Whirring noise as the drum spins? Knocking?

    My washing machine from early 2000's (Miele) and it also keeps tumbling for hours until you open the door... I wonder what the actual difference in quality of material is though.

    • @bobsurrey6686
      @bobsurrey6686 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yours will be made 100x better than these machines. They have a metal outer tub unlike these and a cast iron spider and you can actually replace the bearings on it to top it all off. I’d try and run it as long as you could as even new Mieles are now built to a price

    I paid $1140 US for my Speed Queen TC5000.
    It may not be sophisticated, but examples are tested to failure with reliability of 25 years at eight loads per week, a load takes forty minutes, and my grimiest gardening and work clothes cleaner than any front-load machine ever has.

      Presuming you use quick wash then, the devil program, quick washes use more water, cost more to heat the water so quickly, don’t rinse properly as they reduce the amount of rinses, most people use quick wash with 20-30 degree water , not good for your clothes as the body produces oils that make clothes greasy, there’s germs and bacteria on dirty laundry, stains etc would you shower in cold water, do you use cold water on dishes etc, cold wash is also really bad for the machine, the germs and bacteria build up in the machine with a layer of grease and detergent residue this is where mould starts forming on the door boot, and between the drum and tub, normal cottons wash at 40-60-90dg will help that stop and it kills the bacteria, dissolves detergent better, especially if you use the pods, liquids or gels, bog standers powder is so much better for your clothes and machine, Washing machines constantly used on quick wash have been shown to be a big cause of UTI’s ( urinary tract infection) and been found to harbour more dangerous bacteria than public toilets
