We definitely need a way in game to explore bases, rather than getting coordinates off the net, or watching videos and seeing the whole base. No need to visit after you’ve seen it all on the web. Guest book is a great idea, with links to guest bases.
Oh my, base message book on base computer and ratings; What a FANTASTIC idea! Saving planets and stations, . Yes, it's always bugged me that everything in undiscovered systems are named; your idea would make the game feel more authentic and add to it's richness to it's experience. It would give players more incentive to explore. Fricking awesome ideas. Maybe after creating biomes you could transport or use pets to populate planets with chosen life forms. It would be nice to have more variety in weekend missions. Custom missions....hahaha Zinoviya would get me into more trouble, XD. Very cool video.
Wait what???? (Edit: finally I can have people visit without going to Channel to channel putting in the glyphs or just asking people in my group to check out my system.also does that mean people who don’t have there edit permission’s off others can now grief at a extended rate) edit2: I can’t hear anything i thought this was true…
I've been saying the exact same thing when it comes to the PvP Arenas or make PVP planets setups. Were you and your teammates can make bases and use your vehicles in etcetera.
@zacharysoares1985 ive been saying for years there needs to be a "deathmatch initiator" just like the "race initiator" and it puts you in a multiplayer deathmatch setup
@@Chasing_Solitude or when it comes down to it it's really up to us to make our own PVP. Maybe one of Captain Steve's solar systems where it's a little busier we can make a PVP Arena around there..
Rating bases, great idea. I like the terraforming idea, it will add another dimension to the game. I would love fixing a station and attracting traders again.
Everything you said i think it is a very good idea 👍 and when you talked about blueprints i have been thinking about it for a while now when it comes to base building like if i wanted a base that i like but someone else has built and i could buy blueprint somewhere or from the person who built the base and then i would get the hole finish building and place it on the planet where i want it to be placed 👍 sorry for such a long comment 😅
this game is perfect for community ideas Anomaly Portal Featured Bases should rotate constantly based on rating the Base PC and which bases are best rated! Constantly changing by the community naturally. There should also be the option to save builds (parts of your base like a house) as a Blueprint - and then you could trade Blueprints to others to instantly build - or put them on sale on a Global Auction House where you can buy other peoples Blueprints for Salvage Data (and you get Salvage Data when you sell your Blueprints). Endess loop of Salvage Data trading & fun!
I've suggested guestbooks a couple times on zendesk. Thanks for bringing this to your channel. I also suggested terraforming as well using the multitool but adding things like water, grass, trees etc. I like your DNA sequencer idea.
I like these ideas, make base building an exploring bases better. Also exploring in general for empty systems, an creating mini missions sounds great, hopefully Hello Games can come up with something similar too these ideas it would put more depth into game
I hear you Captain but witnessed on what the state of the game is in on console. Hello can’t even get the freighter and the multiplayer to work properly. Example you invite your friend to it. But you can’t see them and your friend can’t see you. But they say they are on it. It’s a masterpiece for sure but it will be legendary if they get the multiplayer fixed on console. Then ALL THIS WILL MAKE SENSE. Remember on the LNF trailer it showed as if the multiplayer will be enjoyable for us to play. Great video!!
How about allowing players to take over abandoned systems ..ie donating to reconstructing the space station and have the shops run by players. It would be a way for communities to establish their own home systems
I have been sending suggestions to HG for some kind of guest book for awhile. Just like a check in option as bearbones for base cpu. Or if open to feed back then allow like or needs work but that could be iffy for some. But vary basic so it stays nice and simple. Been asking them for awhile. Community send your zendesk ideas. Other idea is to create somekind of amazon delivery like box where players can donate a item and the. Share the glyph key and the key holder can pick up the package whether its mt, ship, build part or what ever mps can trade and share. Especially for those that cannot use mp like ns players. Wouldnt a base copier or mover be cool too. Move base to a different save without a mode that works for console. Maybe the rule would be you can move it but cant make edits till you unlock related parts. And last idea for me is bring back old space stations for low economy system.
one big problem from a developer's standpoint is the fact that you can play NMS in single player mode without any connection to the online servers. If you build or change anything in your game this data is not available to other players unless you get online, upload your data or be in a group with other players. And even this does work only in very limited capacity, e.g. you can only have one base on a planet being visible to other players, even if you have multiple bases build. If you have disvovered a new system, but another player comes in and upload his discoveries first, you lose this information. If it would be possible to make changes to a system in any form, e.g. claim a space station, terraform or populate those changes need to be uploaded to the online server to make them available to other players. If this is not being done in an instant, there can be conflicts regarding specific informations which result in your claims and work you've done in a system getting lost, because another player has uploaded his data before you. And as we all know, multiplayer is still pretty much broken. There are tons of bugs in multiplayer mode and i am really curious how Hello Games will pull of Light No Fire, which will be heavily multiplayer based.
These are really good ideas, as far as allowing community involvement to keep NMS going long after HG has had to move their, (limited) resources to new games, (LNF please HG, just saying...) But, I have already seen what happens on planets with Expedition Rendezvous points. They can become unplayable due to massive popularity. I have also seen spectacular outposts, (sometimes only in videos from other players or the actual creators) that I cannot get to even render in, and they are functionally invisible to visitors. My PC is quite capable, as is your own new PC Tower. Great ideas, but maybe they are fraught with complexities and data quantities that the NMS engine and servers can't handle. I'm not a programmer, so I don't actually know. But, I feel like it is all more complicated than it might seem to lay players, (like me). Conversely, some of these ideas might only require tweaking of systems already in game, that are working just fine. Hopefully they are listening.
I don't know about any of this - My pc is already struggling so much that I'm saving up for hardware upgrades, and as such I'm happy to wait for the updates that Hello Games is working on. These ideas might make it unplayable for many of us... This video is full of nice ideas, but, knowing how game writing works a little bit, they may be unworkable.
They have to fix the anomoly vendors. Everytime you have to learn a recipe from them you get punted out of the store (sometimes pressing a button during the splayscreen of the recipe you've purchased will keep you in the store). Having go through the same talk screens over and over again is beyond annoying. Every other RPG or video game let you initialize the vendor interface and you stay in that store until the player decides to exit.

An organized page of Bases sorted by base type would be amazing. Sort by Farm, Racetrack, PvP arena, fishing cabin, castle, underwater base ect.

@@Chasing_Solitude well let's hope we get what we want to share it. Lol

brilliant ...I'm hopeless at bases ...so this would be quite an incentive to go and visit some
We are the Christopher Columbus of nms ..I've discovered your planet and now remane everything what I want
I'm with you on terraforming a planet and abandoned system. I hope they do this.

Rating bases - great
I like to have a huge fish tank to put on your freighter to put the fish you caught in it.

Love the idea of a guest book for bases!
I really want the nexus missions to be worth doing... Kill 500 monstrosities for 3 tech chips! Uh, no. I'll just go dig 1 tech chip marker.
600quicksilver per mission
great
This is awesome.

Sometimes I wished they were more open on what there doing next I’m tired of always being left in the dark for months
I like all these ideas. But the payout on selling a planet or solar system needs to be much higher.
What if they got rid of half the galaxies and called it The Great Migration...
