Just started this one! Listening to it is a lot of help. Looking at when you began book one versus where you're at right now with book three also makes me feel much better! Seeing the amount of time contrasted with your amount of skill doesn't make me feel quite so bad about taking my time!
This video is a bit old but to anyone reading this, I recommend not to watch videos about the notes you should read in these books because they can make it more difficult on you. You’re supposed to try to play it yourself and interpret it from what you know. It should be a bit of a challenge and that’s the point. Keep practicing my friends, we will all go far.

I thought I was playing this song wrong because of how boring it sounded. Turns out it is just a boring song. You played it really nicely though. Good work!
@ayanna ayanna I can definitely see that problem in the first Alfreds book. When you're using the same three chords over and over again, the songs certainly start to blend together. The variety definitely increases in book 2...sort of. It becomes kind of formulaic. You get a folk song, then a classical piece, then a jazz piece, then a Latin piece. Repeat until you're done the the book.
@ayanna ayanna It took me a month. That being said, I took piano lessons for a few years as a kid. I was using the books manly as a refresher. I would say it takes most people about 6 months to get through book 2 (assuming that they practice daily).
@ayanna ayanna i think you can venture into doing it by yourself. i’ve been playing for piano for about a year and a half. i finished book one before everyone else in my class. i got my first piano lessons yesterday after teaching myself many songs. teacher said i chose extremely difficult classical pieces and believes i should start in book three. it’s perfectly okay to venture out on your own (: you’ve got this, love

Nice. I think the arpeggio could be better. You need to accentuate the final note (G) in it. I am also learning and my teacher told me that, and it sounds better.
Oi, mate, you may have missed this, but this is like, a grade 1 piano book. There’s a billion things you could criticize about the performance - harsh intonation, bad finger and wrist position, fingers breaking, bad pedal use, etc. But this is a grade 1 piano book. Most of these people have been playing piano for a solid 6 months. Missing the Crescendo or not using rubato or having natural fingering and intonation is something which isn’t important here.
I feel like this song would sound way better if it was in a higher level and wasn't limited to this. I mean I'm sure it is but I don't like this simplified version.

I learn the whole song using the notes and then at the end I listen to the video and realize how wrong I was and fix it
Yeah me too,I can figure out the note myself,I only watch the videos for the tempo
I listen first so I know when I’m doing something wrong when I start playing it. Or I get my teacher to play it for me at a lesson.

so only the chords on the treble staff are arpeggiated while the bass chords are as is?
No you have to arpeggiate them all from lowest note to highest

Um... You're supposed to hit the notes harder at the end for the arperggiated chord. There's a crescendo there.
