This is September 2024 & "O sole mio..." by legendary tenor Luciano Pavarotti & Bryan Adams continues to be exceedingly electrifying, enormously exciting, exceptionally enthralling, excellently entertaining, exclusively elating and exquisitely engaging. Their rendition is singularly soulful, spellbinding, superb, sincere, sweet and simply spectacular. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
A greatly talented singer would sing his song, and have his lyrics flow together with the melody in a pleasing combination for our ears. And then there's Pavarotti, whose lyrics don't just flow with the melody, they become the melody. That is why opera singers are a step beyond regular singers. Their words and their voices melt into the music and reach a point where you can no longer discern whether you actually listen to a piece with lyrics. Not to mention it just becomes raw emotion. It's beautiful.
I never knew this existed before today. My father requested that the pianist at my wedding play this song. When it began he took me by the hand, out onto the dance floor in a dramatic sweep, and SANG this to me while dancing me around. It is one of my favorite moments of life with my Dad.
Bess your dad it must have been his fondness moment to share such love and joy with you and your guests ! Bravo, im listening today. The last time was in 2020 w/ i first discovered this and shared it w/ my prior boss, who first introduced me to opera.. Gosh how has our world changed since then...
When singers were artists not just performers...Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea bocceli,Andrea rieu , Bryan Adams ... Charisma, voice, respect and humble, true artists Si sad for us(millennials) to be born in such a time, just performers... No art at all.
I think deep down Pavarotti enjoyed making BA know his singing ability is not even close to Pavarotti. Side by side BA was just no match for the master,’so much so it was embarrassing. BA’s look of uneasiness tells you he knew it too.
@@jet1748 I don't think so. By the look on Pavarotti's face, he truly respected Bryan's performance. It took a lot of courage for Bryan to even attempt a song like this beside the master Luciano is. Both men had a look of true, unabashed respect for each other. And in my opinion, Bryan NAILED it!!
I have always loved Bryan Adams raspy voice. But Pavarotti is from a different dimension. Thank you Italia for gifting the world with this human treasure.
Even at 25% Pavarotti's power is blatant when compared to pretty much anyone else. No disrespect to Bryan of course, that effortless power and control is phenomenal
That's because he is a professional who knows to find symmetry with the person he is singing with. Anyone can blast a loud voice but he is an ARTIST who can dance with his partner =)

I can’t help smiling watching these two great artists enjoying their completely opposite styles so much. It seems to me that this is one of the best live performances I’ve ever seen 🥲
All this critics on Bryan. Bryan did a hell of a job due the fact that his voice is for sure not an opera voice and he knows that. But most important: Pavarotti was really happy with his performance and had a lot of fun with Bryan. So be negative as you want, the maestro had his fun and a lot of respect for Bryan.
I absolutely love Luciano, no matter who he duets with his face is just filled with happiness and pride to sing with whoever it may be. Let alone he has one of if not the greatest voices of all time, absolutely fantastic.
Two beautiful human being with wonderful voices. There is no competition here, it's just two different people who share the same passion and love for music, for any kind of music. Love it, there is really something mesmerizing in this video
the voices are ok but I would not describe Pavarotti's physical appearance as beautiful:overweight, combed over static fake smile and singing a great napulitan song like it is an aria.Wanna see and hear a beautiful human being singing give a listen to Robertino Loretti or Maurizio di vito both Napulitani!!!They will give you the true version of the song. But be careful what you will hear is not just MESMERIZING but also addictive
I so agree with you. Why do some people turn it into a competition, or a judgement about who is better? Pavarotti and Adams are both amazing in their own respective styles, two totally different talents that came together to share a wonderful performance in music, for the love and respect of music. There should be no comparing, just appreciation for what this is.... beauty!

Y all got to admit that it takes balls of steel to sing a song with the best singer of all time ( and especially of his genre of music ) well done Bryan
The whole point of this duet was for Bryan Adams to sing "O sole mio" his way, with his rock husky wonderful voice. There was no intention to compare anything. It was to show that Bryan Adams has a great voice. That he can go with his voice wherever he wants. Pavarotti loved to do this. It is from what I know the only duet of this kind, maybe because Bryan Adams could keep up, because he had the courage and because it was obvious it would become history. There is that one with "Nessun dorma" with many artists where Michael Bolton stands out, but it is still not like it. The way the two artists take turns singing, makes Bryan Adams' version even more of a gem, the classic versus the fresh version, let us say. How can some people make such stupid comments that he is a child next to Pavarotti, that he can't compare to the great tenor, that he does an ok job??? You guys do not understand at all what Pavarotti meant!!! He invited Bryan Adams to show the world what a great singer he is, not to, I don't know, humiliate him on stage?? Pavarotti bowed before Adams on stage. Did you guys see that? He loved how Adams sang. Did you see that? Of course Adams was struck by the great tenor's voice. To hear him singing next to you, with that voice, so wonderful, so powerful it could break glass? His attitude of reverence is so charming I have no words. You guys think you bring praise to Pavarotti with such petty comments? You offend him!
bryan adams looks so nerveous but also so happy at the same time to be singing with pavarotti. just like an excited little kid in awe of what's in front of him. it's adorable to see.
Luciano Pavarotti is one of the most talented, accomplished and humble tenors of all time. Sleep in peace, who makes your unique works work for the soul of the listener.
this is one of my favorite performances ever! How encouraging Luciano is when Bryan is singing. How much Bryan puts his heart into this. It must have been quite the piece for him to learn and yet you can see how hard he tries, and does a great job. And how sweet Luciano is with him. Its beyond touching!!

What are the lyrics to ‘O sole mio’? English translation: What a beautiful thing is a sunny day! The air is serene after a storm, The air is so fresh that it already feels like a celebration. What a beautiful thing is a sunny day! Chorus: But another sun, even more beauteous, oh my sweetheart, My own sun, shines from your face! This sun, my own sun, Shines from your face; It shines from your face! Your window panes shine; A laundress is singing and boasting about it; And while she’s wringing the clothes, hanging them up to dry, and singing, Your window panes shine. When night comes and the sun has gone down, I almost start feeling melancholy; I’d stay below your window When night comes and the sun has gone down.

Yıl 2021 🙏🤗
This is September 2024 & "O sole mio..." by legendary tenor Luciano Pavarotti & Bryan Adams continues to be exceedingly electrifying, enormously exciting, exceptionally enthralling, excellently entertaining, exclusively elating and exquisitely engaging. Their rendition is singularly soulful, spellbinding, superb, sincere, sweet and simply spectacular. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wish that once in a lifetime someone would look at me as Pavarotti is looking at Bryan. Epic!
sdsfsfsfsfs for real- 🤚😔 the way he looks at him is precious
Pavrotti. Such a humble and respectful man. Nothing but love.
I wish we could rewind back to these days where music was natural and real.

YES * THE 3 TENOS
Came here for Pavarotti and fell in love with Bryan's voice...
Why no one replyed to this comment
Such a blessing for you
Bess your dad it must have been his fondness moment to share such love and joy with you and your guests ! Bravo, im listening today. The last time was in 2020 w/ i first discovered this and shared it w/ my prior boss, who first introduced me to opera.. Gosh how has our world changed since then...
Do he know or understand the lyrics of this song before using it for the wedding?

Hi there? Hope you’re fine and good over there?
I thought it was just me I listen to it over and over again !
No it's not just you I listen to it every chance I get. Bryan has a way of singing the song that's so darn sexy.
As an Italian-Canadian, this is literally the most perfect thing to listen to! Two of my favorite singers! 🇮🇹🇨🇦
Incredible courage for Bryan Adams to cross over into another musical discipline! Respect and admiration! He did extremely well in his own way!!!
I have always loved Bryan Adams raspy voice. But Pavarotti is from a different dimension. Thank you Italia for gifting the world with this human treasure.
Amazing how Luciano holds back and don't use the full power of his voice to not over shadow Brian's voice.
Even at 25% Pavarotti's power is blatant when compared to pretty much anyone else. No disrespect to Bryan of course, that effortless power and control is phenomenal
@@vangledosh true, he tried to not over shadow Brian, and tho with only 25% he did it
Es como comer un buen guiso acompañado de un buen frijolito
That's because he is a professional who knows to find symmetry with the person he is singing with. Anyone can blast a loud voice but he is an ARTIST who can dance with his partner =)
That is why I will love him forever.
Everyone saw the capacity of Brian to sing right and beautiful even Luciano. He was smiling from the heart I believe. Awesome performance

Bryan Adams made Pavarotti the happiest man alive with this performance.
Whenever I need some positivity, I'm here!
Exactly. You could tell Pavarotti really enjoyed this duet. He respected Bryan.

But be careful what you will hear is not just MESMERIZING but also addictive
man you speak my mind ...waht a wonderful comment
I so agree with you. Why do some people turn it into a competition, or a judgement about who is better? Pavarotti and Adams are both amazing in their own respective styles, two totally different talents that came together to share a wonderful performance in music, for the love and respect of music. There should be no comparing, just appreciation for what this is.... beauty!

Gotta admit, Bryan Adams has one of the best voice in the history of pop rock music. What a singer!
Y all got to admit that it takes balls of steel to sing a song with the best singer of all time ( and especially of his genre of music ) well done Bryan
I came to like Bryan Adams even more after watching this performance! Love his voice! Some kind of great beauty is here in this stage.
Very different styles, both very good singers!
Pavarotti was the greatest singer ever. Just listening to his voice makes you want to weep.
SayuriChiyo
You are so spot on with all your comments!
Perfect reply. I love Adams' look of respect and slight bewilderment when it was the maestro's turn to sing.

this is one of my favorite performances ever!

Che bella cosa na jurnata ’e sole,
n’aria serena doppo na tempesta!
Pe’ ll’aria fresca pare già na festa...
Che bella cosa na jurnata ’e sole.
Chorus:
Ma n’atu sole cchiù bello, oi ne’,
’o sole mio sta nfronte a te!
’o sole, ’o sole mio
sta nfronte a te, sta nfronte a te!
Lùceno ’e llastre d’’a fenesta toia;
’na lavannara canta e se ne vanta
e pe’ tramente torce, spanne e canta,
lùceno ’e llastre d’’a fenesta toia.
Quanno fa notte e ’o sole se ne scenne,
me vene quasi ’na malincunia;
sotto ’a fenesta toia restarria
quanno fa notte e ’o sole se ne scenne.
English translation:
What a beautiful thing is a sunny day!
The air is serene after a storm,
The air is so fresh that it already feels like a celebration.
What a beautiful thing is a sunny day!
Chorus:
But another sun, even more beauteous, oh my sweetheart,
My own sun, shines from your face!
This sun, my own sun,
Shines from your face; It shines from your face!
Your window panes shine;
A laundress is singing and boasting about it;
And while she’s wringing the clothes, hanging them up to dry, and singing,
Your window panes shine.
When night comes and the sun has gone down,
I almost start feeling melancholy;
I’d stay below your window
When night comes and the sun has gone down.
