@@blakebramfield8220 You mean that he wasn’t holding back with Dion? Well there is a couple of reasons for that. His age mostly. He was older when they made the duet with Dion, and he had to push more to achieve the same power he did with ease earlier. And Celine and Bryan are also on a different level technically. @@viwanton Of course, he didn’t have anything to fear from Pavarotti himself. In fact, Pavarotti himself is the one who reached out to Bryan Adams to invite him to perform with him. I simply meant to perform side-by-side with somebody of such extraordinary talent would’ve been intimidating, I would think, because that situation would naturally invite comparisons between yourself and the master.
Even at 25% Pavarotti's power is blatant when compared to pretty much anyone else. No disrespect to Bryan of course, that effortless power and control is phenomenal
That's because he is a professional who knows to find symmetry with the person he is singing with. Anyone can blast a loud voice but he is an ARTIST who can dance with his partner =)

Every time I watch this I freeze up and then I can’t take it anymore and I scream HOLY shit! Holy shit what a rush … what a rush to be there and next to the great Luciano Pavarotti. Bryan Adams is someone who I grew up with and worshipped his music . His music brings back memories and was smack dab in the middle of the best times of my life . He is incredible on his own. But, to have the guts to stand next to Pavarotti and sing what is most definitely one of the , if not the, most classic Italian songs , sung by at least 50% of the grandfathers of all Italian Americans living today .. hahaha and sing it well with real Vigor??? Well I have to say it is absolutely the greatest respect that he could have given to Pavarotti and also great respect from Pavarotti to Bryan Adams. What a moment in history and to be able to say he sang that song with him. Just amazing. You are blessed and I am thankful for you both. 😘😘😘😘💥😘💥😘💥

Luciano Pavarotti is one of the most talented, accomplished and humble tenors of all time. Sleep in peace, who makes your unique works work for the soul of the listener.
Hats off to Brian, but i did notice that the one and only yours truly wasnt even trying, probably around 40% of his full potential to so he wouldnt overpower Mr Adams, thats the respect you get from the big man. Damm i miss Pavarotti and he will never be replaced.
Y all got to admit that it takes balls of steel to sing a song with the best singer of all time ( and especially of his genre of music ) well done Bryan
A greatly talented singer would sing his song, and have his lyrics flow together with the melody in a pleasing combination for our ears. And then there's Pavarotti, whose lyrics don't just flow with the melody, they become the melody. That is why opera singers are a step beyond regular singers. Their words and their voices melt into the music and reach a point where you can no longer discern whether you actually listen to a piece with lyrics. Not to mention it just becomes raw emotion. It's beautiful.
What I loved about Pavarotti was his eclectic tastes in music & his appreciation for singers of other genres, I understand he was a great fan of Celine Dion also... I can only imagine that he & Bryan Adams had great fun performing together. This is certainly one of my favourite performances of all time & I really do miss the great man himself. I think we're all so very lucky to live in an age where we can see such fabulous performers so easily - it's good to be alive :)
Absolutely awesome, have never seen this before n have been a big fan of Bryan Adams for 30 years n to have the honour n priveledge of singing with the incredible late Mr Luciano Pavarotti like this brought tears to my eyes. Simply Beautiful!
Brian Adams has a handsome voice for singing that song in Italian. Really liked his singing and of course Pavarotti sings beautiful as expected with his style of music.
this is one of my favorite performances ever! How encouraging Luciano is when Bryan is singing. How much Bryan puts his heart into this. It must have been quite the piece for him to learn and yet you can see how hard he tries, and does a great job. And how sweet Luciano is with him. Its beyond touching!!
+VenusInPisces I heard that Luciano was really impressed with Bryan's precise Italian and of course his singing. I cannot say enough, it goes straight to the heart.
It is not competition , it is delightful sharing of music. I can see two beautiful human beings here both enjoying the joy of music with respect to each other.
Two beautiful human being with wonderful voices. There is no competition here, it's just two different people who share the same passion and love for music, for any kind of music. Love it, there is really something mesmerizing in this video
the voices are ok but I would not describe Pavarotti's physical appearance as beautiful:overweight, combed over static fake smile and singing a great napulitan song like it is an aria.Wanna see and hear a beautiful human being singing give a listen to Robertino Loretti or Maurizio di vito both Napulitani!!!They will give you the true version of the song. But be careful what you will hear is not just MESMERIZING but also addictive
I so agree with you. Why do some people turn it into a competition, or a judgement about who is better? Pavarotti and Adams are both amazing in their own respective styles, two totally different talents that came together to share a wonderful performance in music, for the love and respect of music. There should be no comparing, just appreciation for what this is.... beauty!
I always have a smile when I watch Brian and Luciano together. I love Brian's O sole mio. His Italian phrasing is amazing and he has a very good voice. Of course, the voice control of an opera singer is no match, but both singers are beautiful in their own way. Rest in peace Luciano, we all miss you!

English translation: What a beautiful thing is a sunny day! The air is serene after a storm, The air is so fresh that it already feels like a celebration. What a beautiful thing is a sunny day! Chorus: But another sun, even more beauteous, oh my sweetheart, My own sun, shines from your face! This sun, my own sun, Shines from your face; It shines from your face! Your window panes shine; A laundress is singing and boasting about it; And while she’s wringing the clothes, hanging them up to dry, and singing, Your window panes shine. When night comes and the sun has gone down, I almost start feeling melancholy; I’d stay below your window When night comes and the sun has gone down.

Incredible courage for Bryan Adams to cross over into another musical discipline! Respect and admiration! He did extremely well in his own way!!!
I wish I was there watching this alive. Great harmony, a true art of work, thank you for sharing this 👏 RIP Pavarotti 🌹
I can’t help smiling watching these two great artists enjoying their completely opposite styles so much. It seems to me that this is one of the best live performances I’ve ever seen 🥲

I'll say it again I'll never get tired of Bryan Adams singing this song with Pavarotti!!!!! Love the video!!!#
Hi there? Hope you’re fine and good over there?
I thought it was just me I listen to it over and over again !
No it's not just you I listen to it every chance I get. Bryan has a way of singing the song that's so darn sexy.
I think deep down Pavarotti enjoyed making BA know his singing ability is not even close to Pavarotti. Side by side BA was just no match for the master,’so much so it was embarrassing. BA’s look of uneasiness tells you he knew it too.
@@jet1748 I don't think so. By the look on Pavarotti's face, he truly respected Bryan's performance. It took a lot of courage for Bryan to even attempt a song like this beside the master Luciano is. Both men had a look of true, unabashed respect for each other. And in my opinion, Bryan NAILED it!!
I love Pavarotti’s bow at 1:42. Showing respect for his counterpart in this collab. Class.
That's why he is legend.

I have been watching this repeatedly since today...Love is beautiful and music is life, this two are the best blend ever.
It took a lot of guts for Bryan Adams to get up on that stage and accompany one of the greatest tenors of all time. I thought he held his own pretty well.
He was amazing
He didn't need guts. Pavarotti loved to sing with other artists.
100%
@@viwanton Of course, he didn’t have anything to fear from Pavarotti himself. In fact, Pavarotti himself is the one who reached out to Bryan Adams to invite him to perform with him. You’re quite right Pavarotti loved to sing with other artists, and he had great respect and admiration for them. I simply meant to perform side-by-side with somebody of such extraordinary talent would’ve been intimidating, I would think, because that situation would naturally invite comparisons between yourself and the master.
Amazing how Luciano holds back and don't use the full power of his voice to not over shadow Brian's voice.
Even at 25% Pavarotti's power is blatant when compared to pretty much anyone else. No disrespect to Bryan of course, that effortless power and control is phenomenal
@@vangledosh true, he tried to not over shadow Brian, and tho with only 25% he did it
That's because he is a professional who knows to find symmetry with the person he is singing with. Anyone can blast a loud voice but he is an ARTIST who can dance with his partner =)
That is why I will love him forever.
I absolutely love Luciano, no matter who he duets with his face is just filled with happiness and pride to sing with whoever it may be. Let alone he has one of if not the greatest voices of all time, absolutely fantastic.
I love this so much! Bryan was gripping onto that microphone like it was his lifeline! 😅😅🤣🤣
I never knew this existed before today.
My father requested that the pianist at my wedding play this song. When it began he took me by the hand, out onto the dance floor in a dramatic sweep, and SANG this to me while dancing me around. It is one of my favorite moments of life with my Dad.
Such a blessing for you
Bess your dad it must have been his fondness moment to share such love and joy with you and your guests ! Bravo, im listening today. The last time was in 2020 w/ i first discovered this and shared it w/ my prior boss, who first introduced me to opera.. Gosh how has our world changed since then...
Do he know or understand the lyrics of this song before using it for the wedding?

Bryan Adams made Pavarotti the happiest man alive with this performance.
Whenever I need some positivity, I'm here!
To meet a hero is rare. To sing with one must have been just wow. Well done Bryan for singing in Italian, a great mark of respect that.
Boy, Pavarotti just looks tickled pink while Adams is singing. He has such genuine warmth in his smile.
Truth!
That's the exact thought I had watching them together. Such respect they have for each other is palpable and very moving.

Oh no.....you know plenty of Bryan Adams songs. He written 30 top billboard hits. Including "Everything I do". The #2 selling single of all time.🤔

Luciano Pavarotti’s passion for music is incredible to see. And look how much Bryan Adams is feeding off it! If everyone was like Luciano Pavarotti, the world would be a better place
Gotta admit, Bryan Adams has one of the best voice in the history of pop rock music. What a singer!
Pavarotti was the greatest singer ever. Just listening to his voice makes you want to weep.
OMG this is beautiful, hats off to you Bryan, you are everywhere for your music, this composition is incredible!!!!
Very different styles, both very good singers!
I love how humble Bryan is. You can tell from his face and body language that he has no clue how he ended up next to Pavarotti
Y all got to admit that it takes balls of steel to sing a song with the best singer of all time ( and especially of his genre of music ) well done Bryan
Pavarotti is so respectful and appreciative when he collabs!
Almost 30 years later and it still fills my heart with joy and catches my breath. What a genius collaboration!
Claire, how bloody awesome we today can listen to one off...Pavarotti.....& Brian Adams....done good!!
I feel it was yesterday. ¡Me llena de dicha escucharlo! I feel full of joy after listening to these two suns.

ABSOLUTELY HEART MOVING SONG
ANDREA PACHELI IS GOOD 2 GREAT SINGERS NOT LIKE OTHERS "" WHO CANT SING
I think we're all so very lucky to live in an age where we can see such fabulous performers so easily - it's good to be alive :)

this is one of my favorite performances ever!

There should be no comparing, just appreciation for what this is.... beauty!

All this critics on Bryan. Bryan did a hell of a job due the fact that his voice is for sure not an opera voice and he knows that. But most important: Pavarotti was really happy with his performance and had a lot of fun with Bryan. So be negative as you want, the maestro had his fun and a lot of respect for Bryan.

What are the lyrics to ‘O sole mio’?
Che bella cosa na jurnata ’e sole,
n’aria serena doppo na tempesta!
Pe’ ll’aria fresca pare già na festa...
Che bella cosa na jurnata ’e sole.
Chorus:
Ma n’atu sole cchiù bello, oi ne’,
’o sole mio sta nfronte a te!
’o sole, ’o sole mio
sta nfronte a te, sta nfronte a te!
Lùceno ’e llastre d’’a fenesta toia;
’na lavannara canta e se ne vanta
e pe’ tramente torce, spanne e canta,
lùceno ’e llastre d’’a fenesta toia.
me vene quasi ’na malincunia;
sotto ’a fenesta toia restarria
English translation:
What a beautiful thing is a sunny day!
The air is serene after a storm,
The air is so fresh that it already feels like a celebration.
What a beautiful thing is a sunny day!
Chorus:
But another sun, even more beauteous, oh my sweetheart,
My own sun, shines from your face!
This sun, my own sun,
Shines from your face; It shines from your face!
Your window panes shine;
A laundress is singing and boasting about it;
And while she’s wringing the clothes, hanging them up to dry, and singing,
Your window panes shine.
When night comes and the sun has gone down,
I almost start feeling melancholy;
I’d stay below your window
When night comes and the sun has gone down.
