This movie had no drama, this cast tryna sell street life made it straight comedy
They weren’t trying to sell street life, it was a dance movie. They were never in the streets, they just did a bad job, which was apart of the drama beside dude dating his friend sister and their group member turning on them for their rival. And they lost a young friend. It actually had lots of drama but that wasn’t the focus. They made a decent dance film to extend their music career.

You got served movie. Had a few drama, comedy, and total dance movement throughout this movie and l really enjoy it. ❤

Here's the biggest critique going into You Got Served's Script as a Storyline:
We never got a confirmation of what's really in the bag that Elgin and David were delivering for Emerald. By the writers' standpoint, its said to be a product or a merchandise, but i do believe they were selling Chocolate Chip Cookies because that's the only logical assumption you'll have when two dancers are running errands in dangerous neighborhoods without baring firearms. 😑
You can tell them dudes was plotting the moments Elgin walked through the door.

I can't count how often I watched this movie as an teenager. But I never watched the movie in the original language before. I'm from germany and we got very good voice actors for movies from other countries. And in german got this movie so much more emphasis and that creates a lot more tension and drama. Now I understand why the acting performance is so criticized. 😂
