I got a Rubik's brand 4x4 for Christmas this year from my parents. I also got a speedcube 2x2-5x5 set from Santa the same year.
I also got a 4x4 rubiks brand in 2018 or 2019

Here’s a story: at the time, I only had a rubiks 3x3 and 4x4. But once I got my next set of those cubes (they were speedcubes) I realized how bad rubiks was compared to other cubes

Tbh I haven't tried any Rubik's brand cubes because my 1st cube was a random guanlong that my mom bought for me and now i kinda want a Rubik's brand to know how hard it is to use 😆

If you have ever tried to use one of those cheap wood picture cubes the rubix brand feels slightly better the one of those.
@@SlowedAcceleration when i was still very young my mom bought me a picture cube and the pieces are so cheap and it's hollow inside and terrible to turn, maybe that's what Rubik's brand feels like

my first cube is also rubik's worse that urs
when I switch to using speed cube it made me turn deadly accurate ( that's the only good thing of rubik's )

after putting lao gan ma in my gan 11 m pro, i can say that using lao gan ma as lube gives your cube an indescribably amazing feel and incredible turning

i just wanna say: i got a rubiks brand for christmas and it's what got me into speedcubing. learned how to solve it 4 days ago and my pb is 1:40 now. my moyu rs3 m comes in the mail tomorrow, and i'm trying to learn cfop to see if i can get sub minute within a week of solving the thing for the first time. all because of a rubik's brand cube! :)

AARGH. I too got a Rubik's 5x5,when I was strongly hinting at a GAN magnetic 2x2 or 4x4. I also got a box of Rubik's magic puzzles..... I suppose I did get the kids novelty Rubik's things (snake, 2x3x1 animals)

My only cube is rubik's brand 3x3. And it is old, it's at least 10 years. And yes, they are very hard, but I thought that it is normal lol.
The fact that the Rubiks’ that she chose was more expensive than that other GAN on Amazon just makes it so much better

My mom got me a cheap 3x3 and it was awesome for christmas she got me a pack with a 2x2, a 3x3 and a 4x4 from Rubik and it is incredibly hard
Advantages of Rubik's brand cube - it doesn't pop and is durable.
Disadvantages of it - Everything except for durability

Polish speedcubing community always suggested others to buy Rubik's first, so that you learn precision. Once You get fast on this one, only then You could go for a big boy cube.

That's why every Christmas if I want something, I tell them the EXACT product, because I know how it feels to get the "same thing you wanted", but like 1000 times worse
For example if I want a bloody abedless (it's a mouse, just given for example) but I say "I want a gaming mouse"

Meanwhile me with old stickered Rubik's 3x3 and new 4x4
