Dr Muhammad Salah, this is one of the best and spot on explanation about aqidah, very brief and informative and absolutely clear. Yes, we should always go back to the basic, to the root when it starts to get confusing. May Allah The Exalted reward you with djennah ferdaws al a'laa, ameen.

The blessed Quran revealed that we are only Muslims and not divided into sects such as sunni or shia

These are descriptions about where the deviation has occured. Not every muslim will go straight to jannah, as there are sects which will be in the fire (not eternally):
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The Jews were divide into seventy-one or seventy-two sects, and the Christians were divided as well. My nation will divide into seventy three-sects.”
Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Tirmidhi
“My ummah will split into seventy-three sects, all of whom will be in Hell except one group.” They said: Who are they, O Messenger of Allaah? He said: “(Those who follow) that which I and my companions follow.” This is mentioned in the hadeeth of ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Amr which was recorded and classed as hasan by al-Tirmidhi (2641). It was also classed as hasan by al-‘Iraaqi in Ahkaam al-Qur’aan (3/432), al-‘Iraaqi in Takhreej al-Ihya’ (3/284) and al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.
      Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2640
Ibn Maajah (173) narrated that Ibn Abi Awfa said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “The Khawaarij are the dogs of Hell.”
Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah.

Why did he add the phrase in English 'if A person knows Allah is above the throne ' that is not on of the five pillars nor six articles of faith. It is not in the hadith of Jibreel . Most of what he said I agree with but he slipped that one part in.

Believing that Allah swt is above the Arsh meaning Heavens or throne is part of Islamic creed. There is a Hadith in which the Messenger saws tested a slave girl by asking her where is Allah? She replied above the heavens. The messenger saws concluded that she is a Muslim. Please search for the full Hadith for reference

You do understand some of those hadiths are weak and some have different wording. The Quran also says Allah is near.

@@markward3981 that previous Hadith is narrated by Sahih Muslim and considered to be authentic. As for the Quranic verses stating that Allah swt is near or closer to the jugular vein, this means that Allah swt is close by His Knowledge. This is according to Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah scholars. We do not believe that Allah is present everywhere as this would mean that He is present in filthy places too.

You are translating and interpreting the Ayat ...just recite it and let it's recitation be it's explanation, as many of the earlier respected Muslims did and advised.

Most of the sects outside ahl al sunnah formed because of Aqeedah differences
jahmiyyah said Allah is everywhere and has no form

Qadariyyah said there is no such thing as qadr ( pre destination of events )

Aqidah Salaf is not from Ibnu Taimiyah, he not even a Salaf bcos he was from 7th Century. Akiqah of Ibnu Taimiyah is a aqidah of Wahabis, misguided aqidah of mujassimah and musyabbihah. Salaf is from 1st, 2nd and 3rd Century and has nothing to do with Ibnu Taimiyah. Akidah of Salaf is as per aqidah of 4 mazhads Imam Hanafi, Maliki, Shafie, Hambali and ulama's of Salaf who lives in 1st, 2nd and 3rd century. If you follow Ibn Taimiyah, you are truly misguided.

@@inspiringmuslim they are a group that have deviant views when it comes to the names and attributes of Allah. The tend to do tawil which is twist the meaning away from its apparent meaning and give it a metaphorical meaning, or some of them do tafwidh which means they say that we don’t know what the attributes of Allah mean. To give an example, in the Quran chapter 38 verse 75, Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?"
Here the word in Arabic yadayya means two Hands. So what the asharis do is they twist the meaning and say that hands don’t mean hands, it means power and some asharis do tafwidh saying that they don’t know what Hand means. The problem with this approach taken by asharis and maturidis is that the early muslims, the first generation of Muslims, ie the sahabah and their students never understood the attributes of Allah this way. It is incorrect to change the meaning or say that we don’t know what it means. The correct position is of the ahlul hadith also called Atharis also called salafis which is to affirm what Allah said in its apparent meaning without distorting the meaning or without likening it to humans. So in the above verse when it says Hands we say we believe Allah has Hands but Allahs hands are not like our hands which is made of flesh and blood. Just like we have hands, and the jug has a hand and a horse has a hand, but all three cannot be compared even though they are called hands. So when Allah says he has hands, we affirm what Allah affirmed for Himself without making it similar to the creation. The same goes for all the attributes of Allah, we hear and see but Allah also hears and sees, but our hearing and seeing cannot be compared to Allahs hearing and seeing.
Which is why the asharis and maturidis are a deviant groups as they either distort the meaning or say we don’t know what it means when it comes to the attributes of Allah
