How to replace the battery in a 2016 Chevy Camaro key fob
The replacement battery is a Panasonic CR2032

@Madyson Moore Yeah the range gets really bad, then it acts up, THEN it tells you its low.
Our Cruze did too! So glad to find this-been trying to figure out how to open it without breaking it.

My fob from time to time will take a couple tries to actually unlock the car or even start up, glad to know I can just replace the battery!
For a car thats only a few years old, they batteries sure dont last long, my 2011 BMW 7 Series is still on the original key battery but ive had to replace the battery in my Camaros fob twice already, thank you for helping with this video!

Thought the fob was gonna break while trying to separate it now it looks like it has a small warped edge you think when the battery gets low it would just pop out on its own.Just saying

That key looking thing you pulled out. Is it a key for anywhere on the car or is it supposed to be just for that key thing?
it's your door key if your fob battery is dead.
@@NormKohn It also locks and unlocks the glove compartment .
It can also start your car. You can remove the push to start button cover, and there is a traditional turn key ignition
@Quix you're correct. I had an actual key ignition behind my push button start on my 2015 Challenger (m6 392 Shaker)
