What’s NEW in Palmanova, Mallorca (Majorca) | Clarification is needed here

- I have an update for you from Palmanova, but there seems to be a little confusion and clarification is needed.
So in this video, I'll show you what’s new in Palmanova. I'll try and get answers to questions I have received regarding the sunbed situation.
We check out the new chringuitos (beach bars), plus we visit the new beach bar which has just opened on Es Carregador beach which has replaced Can Blanc.
Plus I have some great news of a welcome addition to Palmanova which has been much requested!

Hi Alex! Me and my family met you when you did your Magaluf walk around - we were staying at the Aluasun Torrenova! Just want to say, it was great to meet you in person after watching your videos for so long, you are just as great in real life as you are on camera. I did witness a poor man presumably drown on Son Matias beach while using an electric scooter with his partner. Fortunately he regained conciousness on the beach after being dragged to shore however an ambulance was called and it was very concerning for all around us.
Keep up the good work - we have extreme holiday blues...

Hi Alex, I spent a week in Port Soller. Wonderful people and a fantastic position in The Fergus hotel. Soller was everything you said it was. Will be visiting next year for sure. Many thanks for your accurate account regarding this beautiful village. 👍👍

Straight back to work from your holiday, great stuff Alex. Thanks for taking up the issue of half day/not half day loungers. The beach/sea view from the Zel hotel has been rather blocked by the chiringuito and the bali beds.
Yes, it has been (and lol I haven't actually stopped working ;). I can't really at this time of year, but it'll be November soon enough.
Palma nova looking gorgeous as always..electric paddle bikes look great fun but thought it was dangerous to mix with water. Hmmm. Nice to see you back on your computer Alex..missed you last Saturday. Glad you made it back to the sunny weather

When I was there, there was a masseuse doing a good trade. "For some reason" she spent more time looking around than looking at her clients 😂😂😂
Hi you are soo kind and informative thsnk you. We were there the middle week in June and we had to pay 20 Ur for the sun chairs for just 3 hours because the man said this is the price for any hours half day or full day same price which is a rip off because we could not be at the beech all day.
The best restaurant there was the small Thai restaurant run by a very sweet couple and the food is amazing. 💐🙏🏽
Thanks for this - yes half way through the summer and still not charging half day rates isn’t good. The Thai Steet food restaurant is amazing !
We will not be returning to Majorca everything far too overpriced..back to Greece for us!!!
I think some of these beach vendors are taking the wee wee with the sunbeds lol. It looks fantastic . Another great video Alex well done.

Great update. CONFUSION over prices for sun beds. Glad to see the Can Blanc re opened, that was a quick turnaround. I hate those Bali beds, remember the stretch limousines for hire in the 90s they remind me of those, showey. Thanks Alex.

The ice creams from Gill are delicious and very welcomed when it’s so hot. I have to mention the beach side restaurant right next to where The ice cream place is . If you’re nearby please give it a go. The restaurant is brilliant, lovely food , good choice of food and it’s all very delicious. From lunch time bits to evening meals, the grilled sole is so good and the lunch time toastie, salads, burgers, jacket potatoes etc. very reasonably priced and the guys there work very hard. You can pop in for drinks only but I would book for an evening table as they get very busy.

I’ve got some recent content about Port de Soller and live streams ! As well as lots of content about Soller. Only way I’ll go to Sa Calobra at this time of year is by boat A let’s see !

We’re here now loads of empty sunbeds, and the new double beds not one been used, staying at the Santa Lucia, must say outside area neglected needs a good clean tables are filthy, it’s not like it was, loads of pigeons, obviously coming for food left on floor, definitely not 4 star or platinum, insides ok though.

Last year in Palma nova every foreign tourist had to pay for a full day even at 4pm he would charge them, but he never charged the locals we challenged him but he just walked off.

Beach traders ripping people off unless you're Spanish i learnt that in Salou, plus i think beach traders haven't got much business sense when they have people asking for sun loungers for half a day but only charging for a full day people are going to walk away,well i know i would,plus got to ask did you go back to Jill's for a cheeky ice-cream 🍦😅

That’s interesting about the half-day rentals for loungers/parasols - is this just for this area or would it apply to Sa Coma beach area?
Not sure Lindsay - the town hall sent me the prices for Calvia and half day rentals were included in pricing

I haven’t been abroad for 6 years now, but am going to palma nova on Monday. I believe the smoking rules have changed? Are you allowed to smoke out the front of bars/restaurants still and on balconies at hotels? (I think the beach is banned?) thank you 😊
