I have driven amaze cvt 2019 in hilly areas fully loaded. Nice car to drive with nice transmission also has hill hold feature and works fine. Best automatic transmission in this segment which no one is offering at present.
Now I own this car( amaze cvt) and have been using it for my pachmarhi trips and found it to be more suitable and convenient than my honda jazz manual. It conquers all uphill roads with ease.

I bought amaze s cvt in December 2021 and the rattling sound is there in glovebox. Mileage in city with AC is also around 11-12 but on highway it is more than 16-18. I really liked the comfort and drive in hills. Even on steep climb it managed to keep up the pace. If you are not a throttle loving person then it’s a value for money car. Biggest boot space in that segment and price tag. Service is definitely good and the car really looks Premium.
@@dineshnayak1772 no rollback witnessed even when i was in a jam uphill. Cvt does not lag when we rev after releasing brakes. But yes better to engage hand brake for safety though
I also own Amaze (Dec 2019) and had the same problem. This ratting noise I fixed it is by fixing the cowl top (the black color thing at the bonnet beneath windshield that holds wipers), you take a 3M take stick it to cowl top covers and also the wiper motors and then you will realize that the rattling noise is gone. Believe me for an year, I was searching for an answer to it and finally found by contacting the Manager at Victory Ranchi. Honda's service is the best.
I have 2021 model Diesel VX MT done 20k kms so far in 18 months and luckily I do not have any issues and I am extremely happy with the vehicle . I drive my Amaze 90% on the highway mostly on cruise control within 80 kmph and the mileage is 25kmpl average. I understand this video is about the petrol version but my experience has been so satisfying I thought of sharing here .

Nice Summary. My experience with 2020 CVT: City Avg: 8 - 8.5 kmpl Hwy Avg: 17-18 kmpl Dashboard rattling: Yes, as you mentioned. Suspension: Stiff, as you mentioned. But I had tried 2021 Amaze and their suspension was smoother in comparison. Rattling from front side may be in the steering assembly. But with all other features and qualities as you mentioned, I like Amaze 😊

I agree with your pros and cons. Suspension, glow box rattling sound are at times irritating. Instrument cluster and resolution is very low quality. I use mobile holder for navigation. Window rubber quality is poor comes out within a year or two. City mileage is very poor, gives 8 to 10 km per litre. Highway mikeage os pretty good 16 to 20 depends how you drive. But drivabilty is excellent, very smooth and engine is superb no other car can match. You like road presence of this car. Overall it is value for your money.
One more problem in this car is its windows. When windows are half open and you close the door then the sound was like it feels the glass will come out.
I have VMT 2019 petrol... I fully agree with your unbiased observation. All pros and cons are true. I have driven 49000 kms so far. I am still enjoying the car. And I plan keep it for some more time..

Mine has minor issues. AC captures bad smell from outside and puts in in the cabin. Don’t know if it’s because of the absence of the cabin filter. Sometimes the gear stucks if you slow down and try to lower the gear to the 2nd one. I sometimes have to keep the car in the 3rd gear and it’s embarrassing to pull the car that slow.
I have the new model of 2022. Yes....During hill ride low power feeling is there ...and rattling sound still there in glove box...even on smooth road it comes frequently, which is very much irritating.

Mera Honda Amaze SMT hai.. mene after market infotainment system lagaya hai.. aur with same speakers sound quality is awesome.. before that it was not that good.. glowbox ka rattling issue hai.. but wo tape laga k solve ho gaya.. I agree with you 14 inch wheels k jagha 15 inch standard Dena chiye tha..baki koi issue nahi hai. Muze high way pe 22+ milage deti hai.. city me 14-15 mil jata hai with AC..

Second service done. Two long trips done with ghat section included. 2,500 done. 👍
If honda provides a much more poweful or a turbo charged engine in this car , it would be more than pefect and would be better than any hatchback like altroz baleno or i20

Valuable info bro . Honda should look also to promote jazz that is also a fantastic car but underrated one. Very costly hatch back . The price of cvt very much higher than its own amaze comparatively.

Have you faced any steering problem in honda amaze. I have seen some reviews, in low speed steering wont return back to original position after a turn. Can you please clarify it.
2013 model amaze has much smoother steering but that was prone to some issues, so they made changes in steering motor and steering became bit stiff after that !
You add aftermarket height pads on rear suspension. Also add RogerB stifffeners on rear coils. These two changes will take care of bottoming issue. I have done these changes on my car.
There is severe problem in steering, it's bit hard compared to other cars. I have made checked thrice at service stations. Also suspensions are very poor. Noise comes from the same when passed in pathholes. HONDA is not recommended by me. Also service charges are too high.
Premium HatchBack and Sedan More or less same. Boot Space is same. Hundai i20 Nline, baleno, Altroz back seat more or less same. Sedun like.. Leg space is good. under thigh support almost same
My xpirience with the steering feedback is really bad.....i tested two test cars both had very bad steering feed back. When it comes to engine performance it lags a lot.....even with full throtle there is no power in the 2nd or 3rd gear. On speed breakers its a nightmare.you have to go with a angle. I agree with the comfort in the backseat.
I don't agree with your gear box point,, Throws are not small it is long,, compare it with Suzuki, Hyundai,, Kia and Toyota.. Front seats are small but rear seats are comfortable.

Hello, having the same rattling sound from the glove box and even from the front dashboard..too much of sound from suspension while the car hits a pothole or on uneven road as if the suspension are damaged..one amazing i found in amaze...there is some continuous noise coming from my clutch paddle as if it is broken or something is getting stuck and creating friction....rest all is ok... My total drive kms are 11k in 6 months..pls suggest for clutch paddle
As a owner of 2022 Amaze Petrol VX MT for past 1.5 years and I have driven 27000 kms, I have observed below issues: 1. Stiff suspension. Extremely bumpy on potholes on city roads. Bumpy on highways too when I pass through the white strips which nowadays I see lot on highways near any crossings/junctions. I feel more louder thud sound when rear wheels pass on the bridge and small bumps/patches/white strips on highways. 2. Steering wheel does not fully return to original position when I make turn. I have move the steering wheel to make it straight. 3. Hard gear box. I am experiencing tightness when up shifting/downshifting to 2nd and 4th gear. Also when changing to reverse gear. I had complained about this to service technician during my 10k and 20k oil change service, mechanic did extra lubrication on gearbox which kind of addressed this problem temporarily but it comes back after few days/weeks. 4. I hear quaking noice when I release clutch. I also highlighted about this to service technician and they did applied lubricant to clutch and problem comes back after days/weeks. Although I am able to find workaround for this by letting engine run in idle for 2-3 mins when I start engine and this clutch noise does not come. 5. During rain when water is on window glass I hear Quaking noice when I pull up/down window glass on driver side. Only on driver side window but not on other 3 windows. Apart from these issues, my driving experience has been pleasant with Amaze on highways as I use cruise control to set speed to 85-90kmph and try to be center lane. I have achieved 19-20kms mileage on highways by keeping RPM around 2000-2500 and speed around 80-90kmph. Comfort is good on front and rear seats. If Honda provides rear adjustable headrests then it would perfect for highway rides.

I am going to buy Amaze 2023, I am feeling Honda did not do well bt not providing engine splash cover. This would damage car from the bottom specially on indian roads with lot of debris

Brother isme jo maine face kiya problem bhut jyada badi problem hai,,, like windows glass bhut loose hai jo half open me hath se move hoti hai and vibration karti hai and the second is ki dashboard or front suspension se noise aati hai,, please let me know agar apne bhi ye issue face kiya hai or iska koi solution hai to,,,
NO solution for window glass, i drive mostly window closed .Keep full open then it wont make any noise. Suspension noise is gone mostly now,RHS suspension se minor noise comes sometimes. Ask sc aur koi problem nhi apart from 2nd gear slotting bit hard.
Purchased Amaze petrol CVT 2022 . Getting mileage of just 6.5 kmpl for first 100 kmts driven. Will it improve to 12-15 after first service ??? Very sad, after buying it. Not happy with mileage. Also not happy with AC. It takes time for cooling for back seat.
Today came from long drive. Highway 200 kmts and 20 kmts Hyderabad City. Odometer showing average of 18. Did full tank and now after returning petrol indicator is at 60%. Looks decent on highway. Odometer showing 18. But I think I got 15-16 which is very good. With 80-90 speed, I was able to maintain eco mode.

I own a Honda amaze for the last 9 years it's clocked over 1 lac kilometres, and till today I have never had any issues.

What is the mileage you are getting in the city?

I had honda civic 1.8 for 7 yrs in sydney(Australia) clocked over 400000 kms,no issues at all.Honda always been amazing

Amaze Automatic VX CVT is great, except that it doesn't have cruise control
And TPMS
20:06 the rattling issue can be fixed by changing the arm of both from the front wheel, if it is under warranty it’s free of cost.

Jazz is underrated because of its engine. Honda installed the same engine of Amaze on it. 1.5 litre engine could have been better for Jazz

There is no major issue in the steering of this car they are false rumours you can go for it 😊
Yes, I complained to service centre but they said it's normal.
These r just rumours , steering reverses back when u make a cut as now I have completed 26000km in my Amaze
Check the tyre pressure and do a wheel alignment in a good shop. Check for the ball joints in the front suspensions.
2013 model amaze has much smoother steering but that was prone to some issues, so they made changes in steering motor and steering became bit stiff after that !

You add aftermarket height pads on rear suspension. Also add RogerB stifffeners on rear coils. These two changes will take care of bottoming issue. I have done these changes on my car.

There is severe problem in steering, it's bit hard compared to other cars. I have made checked thrice at service stations. Also suspensions are very poor. Noise comes from the same when passed in pathholes. HONDA is not recommended by me. Also service charges are too high.

My xpirience with the steering feedback is really bad.....i tested two test cars both had very bad steering feed back. When it comes to engine performance it lags a lot.....even with full throtle there is no power in the 2nd or 3rd gear. On speed breakers its a nightmare.you have to go with a angle. I agree with the comfort in the backseat.
While driving with AC how much mileage does it provide than without AC

I don't agree with your gear box point,, Throws are not small it is long,, compare it with Suzuki, Hyundai,, Kia and Toyota..
Front seats are small but rear seats are comfortable.
As there is no rear AC vent how is the cooling system ?

Hello, having the same rattling sound from the glove box and even from the front dashboard..too much of sound from suspension while the car hits a pothole or on uneven road as if the suspension are damaged..one amazing i found in amaze...there is some continuous noise coming from my clutch paddle as if it is broken or something is getting stuck and creating friction....rest all is ok... My total drive kms are 11k in 6 months..pls suggest for clutch paddle

I ma also facing glove box sound but not being able to find the source. And the clutch sound is coming from the spring. It's not an issue

As a owner of 2022 Amaze Petrol VX MT for past 1.5 years and I have driven 27000 kms, I have observed below issues:
1. Stiff suspension. Extremely bumpy on potholes on city roads. Bumpy on highways too when I pass through the white strips which nowadays I see lot on highways near any crossings/junctions. I feel more louder thud sound when rear wheels pass on the bridge and small bumps/patches/white strips on highways.
2. Steering wheel does not fully return to original position when I make turn. I have move the steering wheel to make it straight.
3. Hard gear box. I am experiencing tightness when up shifting/downshifting to 2nd and 4th gear. Also when changing to reverse gear. I had complained about this to service technician during my 10k and 20k oil change service, mechanic did extra lubrication on gearbox which kind of addressed this problem temporarily but it comes back after few days/weeks.
4. I hear quaking noice when I release clutch. I also highlighted about this to service technician and they did applied lubricant to clutch and problem comes back after days/weeks. Although I am able to find workaround for this by letting engine run in idle for 2-3 mins when I start engine and this clutch noise does not come.
5. During rain when water is on window glass I hear Quaking noice when I pull up/down window glass on driver side. Only on driver side window but not on other 3 windows.
Apart from these issues, my driving experience has been pleasant with Amaze on highways as I use cruise control to set speed to 85-90kmph and try to be center lane. I have achieved 19-20kms mileage on highways by keeping RPM around 2000-2500 and speed around 80-90kmph. Comfort is good on front and rear seats. If Honda provides rear adjustable headrests then it would perfect for highway rides.

I am going to buy Amaze 2023, I am feeling Honda did not do well bt not providing engine splash cover. This would damage car from the bottom specially on indian roads with lot of debris

Brother isme jo maine face kiya problem bhut jyada badi problem hai,,, like windows glass bhut loose hai jo half open me hath se move hoti hai and vibration karti hai and the second is ki dashboard or front suspension se noise aati hai,, please let me know agar apne bhi ye issue face kiya hai or iska koi solution hai to,,,
NO solution for window glass, i drive mostly window closed .Keep full open then it wont make any noise. Suspension noise is gone mostly now,RHS suspension se minor noise comes sometimes. Ask sc aur koi problem nhi apart from 2nd gear slotting bit hard.

Today came from long drive. Highway 200 kmts and 20 kmts Hyderabad City. Odometer showing average of 18.
Did full tank and now after returning petrol indicator is at 60%.
Looks decent on highway.
Odometer showing 18. But I think I got 15-16 which is very good.
With 80-90 speed, I was able to maintain eco mode.
But when i have checked the odometer reading with tank to tank it is same, i checked twice
