I've only switched to war comics about a year now, and this is a super informative video. Great stuff in there. I've also learned about the British series Commando which has had a huge run.

I’m not surprised! I’ve not read enough Mad magazine to know their frequent artists, except for the guys that came directly from the EC bullpen! I wish DC would do more reprints with Mad!

Great video! I might need to get that box set from Tardi, since my friend showed it off I've kinda wanted it, it looks really nice tbh!
I always say that I'm not a fan of the war genre, but I've enjoyed most movies/tv series/comics I've watched and read a lot anyway :)
Here's my list of what I've read and enjoyed one way or another:
Sara by Garth Ennis and Steve Epting from TKO
Anything from Jean-Pierre Gibrat (Flight of the Raven, Mattéo and The Reprieve are available in English, Mattéo was unfortunately discontinued though). I've not read Flight of the Raven.
Angel Wings by Yann and Romain Hugault (probably my favorite of them all, not available in English in print, but there seem to be scanlations available). I've read the first six albums in Swedish. There was another series from the same creators, The Grand Duke, printed in English by Dark Horse I think, I've not read that one though.
The Red Baron by Pierre Veys and Carlos Puerta, probably one of the most beautifully drawn war comic (even better than Romain Hugault's Angel Wings), the story wasn't to my liking at all though, it's available in print in English from Cinebook.
Also, I'm with you on the Marvel restoration, it makes the art look "worse" in this case :)
I love your list! I’ve only read Sara from it! So, now I have a bunch of other comics to seek out! One of my favorite things about the hobby!
