I have fallen out of love with most of the car guys here on yt, because their content today looks like a massive business operation with very little passion. But you man, you have made such a massive progress since the 4C days. Every video is an adventure, doesn’t matter if you shoot it in London or halfway across the globe. I can feel all the emotions and excitement a car gives through you. Can’t wait for your GT3 videos. Really man, you absolutely kick ass when so many others fall short. Good to see a UK youtuber who is prepared to get on a plane to OZ without complaining to much about a 16 hour plane trip and a bit of jet lag. Great content as well although I have to say the Ferrari you drove looked the best IMO and was obviously the most powerful so what's not to like other than its impractical for boot space.
And the more common London to Sydney (or vice versa) is at least 21 hours + a two hour stop-over! Still beats sailing in a wooden boat with small-pox for 9 months though.
It’s great that there is a direct flight from the U.K. to Perth on Qantas but choosing Qatar via Doha isn’t a bad choice. Qatar are excellent. However Sam could have flown business class if he took it from Europe for less and took a short flight across as U.K. airport taxes make it cheaper to fly business from Europe than economy from London. That’s my travel tip.
I went to Perth once. Thought it was a long way to go for a three day business meeting so I booked a business class seat on the cheap and got upgraded to first class! Love Perth, one of the world's beautiful places. That park up high overlooking is where they planted a tree for every fallen Australian soldier. Perth yes please.

Viola Hong Kong seems to suit modern Ferraris really well. There's an 812 Comp in Viola Hong Kong with Giallo Modena accents which was recently delivered to Delhi, India. What a gorgeous spec. The damn paint supposedly costs as much as a highly specced BMW M4! Also, coincidentally a friend's uncle has a 488 Pista specced similar to that 812 GTS. The only difference being his Azzurro La Plata in matte from factory. Looks gorgeous under the sun. It's supposedly the only Pista in the world to have that spec.
@@seenthroughglass True. Not a colour I'd spec but somehow comes out as very classy. Violet/purple usually is abit too shouty like on the Lambos n McLarens.

If you are buying an sf90 it’s basically a daily driver well an extremely expensive one. But like you said the 458s and 812s are much better drivers and more usable in terms of on road speeds. The sf90 makes sense if you can afford to use it kind of as a daily as shmee does, that said I would rather have a 296 still hybrid and dailyable but a little less to worry about.
The SF90 upgrade is coming later this year and I believe they have addressed some of the issues that owners are complaining about. P.S it'll have even more power to boot from a bigger battery. No doubt it'll be using all 3 motors at full chat rather than just the rear motor on the current car..

My local Ferrari dealer told me that apparently many of the owners (much like Sam in the video) find the car to be a virtual land jet but not the type of car that engages the driver but unlike many Ferrari models it does not have exceptional resale as a result of the number of used ones available and that they have taken many in for under original MSRP, which isn’t something mant Ferrari owners are used to experiencing……losing money that quickly 😳

@@blueman5924 yes, exactly. I have a 300hp modern car, a 1976 classic with about 90hp and weighs about 900kg and some great driving roads at my doorstep. The most enjoyable car to drive on these roads of the two is the classic.

I think the SF90 as a platform will make sense when the “speciale” version comes out. Monstrous power but tightened up and turned into a track weapon. They should make it a track toy like the 992 gt3rs to the extent that on the road it’s bad because it’s not its environment. The current SF90 is already overkill on the road yet it’s not the best option on track because it’s not the “speciale”.

Sam, pick up a wireless lav mic with a furry windscreen (assuming you didn't simply leave it behind on this drive) so you can clip it to your collar/lapel and turn on the A/C! I have the Rode Go II and I know people like the DJI mic.

Head for the Northern Territory. Wide open spaces. Long straight roads. Good people. NO SPEED LIMITS. Just a lazy 2-3 day drive from Perth in a toyota, or maybe just 1 day in that stunning 812 GTS. Yeah i'd really like to fang that thing up the Stuart Highway.
