Sure, this "Mackerel burger" is made of Tuna...but FUMIO DOESN'T have to know! I would make this again, especially as you can make these in bulk, cook them all up and save them for later. Great meal prep hack and a great protein snack.
Try it out since, you know, canned tuna should be in your pantry.

I really like Tuna with a bit of onion in a nice Tomatosauce with Pasta like Gemelli. It is a really easy dish at its base, but you can play around a lot with spices. Add to it a bit of mozzarella or parmeggiano and it really is the thing to cook when you don't have a lot of time. I often also a a bit of lettuce salad with italian dressing to it. And all that in not even twenty minutes :)

Also the scene with Yukihira and the Aldini bro where he's like "Until we meet again!!" and then the next scene they're on the bus and Yukihira teases him. God I love this anime. Time to rewatch.

I didn't even know how to boil water before I started watching your videos but with all this free time I've been self teaching myself how to cook and your content/SnS reactions have really helped. When I was in... Highschool I think... I have a school field trip. So I made myself 2 portions of tuna sandwiches with cheese and some green, cut the bread into triangle, wrapped them in plastic wrapper, keep them in the fridge overnight and take them with me. I was a pickier eater compare to now. And the lunch they gave us back then wasn't quite to my taste. So I was glad I did brought my own.

Growing up, my parents always had canned tuna in the house. Their version of a "tuna patty" was just mixing canned tuna, eggs, seasoning, and onions. It's like a sort of tuna scramble eggs or tuna omelette but it was my childhood. Sometimes i would eat it with some banana ketchup because it goes well with rice and all that crispy bits in the edge of the patty. i would LOVE to use some panko for an additional binder and that fish ponzu sauce (because i never thought to use the fish water since i always drain it out).

What I like about these videos that you do is that while lots of youtubers will try to recreate the recipes exactly, you, well... play with it. Use what you have readily available or just what you would prefer. It's cool to be able to recreate it exactly, but you know, everyone tries to do that. Sometimes it's nice to see someone play around with it and make it their own, cause it encourages the rest of us to do the same. Also dang it, I literally just ate and now I'm hungry again. Sadly I had to give the cats our last can of tuna so I'll have to figure out something else :P

Thought I would taste it without anything before straining appropriately and got a mouth full of grit and soil-y mushroom tea. Umami though lol Also canned mackerel should be readily available everywhere. You just need to be ready for having a very ventilated kitchen haha

@@kawaiikimichi676 Wait ignore everything I said it makes no sense. I'm so dumb! She was hallucinating that Souma was the boy from her past or something, that's why she tried to kiss him lol I'm pretty sure.

you should try adding some milk into the panko and letting it sit for bit. then adding japanese mayo to the tuna mix!
also use the tool used to clean out the oil bits after frying for egg drop soup. it comes out waaay thinner!

Actually, now is a perfect time for this kinda stuff! Making great food on a budget with limited resources. I think you could make a mini-series out of this. Quarantine Cuisine! Yes! :u

But for the sake of continuity, let's just say Yukihira lmao

If I'm able to get my hands on Sashimi Tuna for a good price ( very difficult in Germany ) I tend to apply a bit of kikkoman teriyaki Sauce and just Cook it enough that the main part of the meat is still raw. A selfmade ricesalad ( Champignons+carrots+a few small tomatoes+Romana salad+spring onions, first make a vinegar, oil dressing then mix it into the warm rice) a good price for that is the Royal Umbrella rice.

So I tried this recipe, and it worked out fantastic ! Really good way to transform a cheap tuna can into a yummy burger.
However, I added a few more ingredients to the tuna preparation : sesame seeds, sumak, tomatoes (was a mistake : they add too much humidity), horseradish paste, and chopped nori seaweed.
I especially advise to add the chopped nori and the horseradish paste (or maybe wasabi would work probably), they add another layer of taste 👍👍👍

Canned tuna, 2 hard boiled eggs, 2 tablespoons of quark, salt, pepper, a few drops of lemonjuice and there you have an awesome tuna egg salad.. low on calories as well ^^
