    I agree with most of comments, awesome video as just bought a 2022 Corsair, with 10K and looks brand new. Love it, I may upgrade to the Touring version in couple of years as the technology improves. Thank for taking your time throughout the video. I may have to watch specific parts again. I'm excited to see what's unveiled for North America - should be sometime in the next few months. They brought the new Zephyr to the Chinese market so there's a possibility for an EV sedan but I'm thinking it'll probably be an EV the size of the Mustang Mach-E for the Lincoln brand

      Thanks Erik, good to know the video helped you figure out that it was the right choice! I haven't had the chance to try out the homelink system myself but here's a rundown.
      Program Garage Door Opener to Opener Motor
      1. Press the learn button on the garage door opener motor
      2. Within 30 seconds, return to your vehicle and press and hold one of the three HomeLink function buttons you want to program for two seconds, then release. You might need to repeat the process 2 - 3 times
      Program Garage Door Opener to Transmitter
      1. With your vehicle parked, switch your vehicle into accessory mode (don't press the brake but press the start/stop button)
      2. Press and release one of the three HomeLink buttons on the Corsair
      3. Hold your hand-held garage door transmitter 1-3 inches away from the HomeLink button you want to program
      4. Press and hold the hand-held transmitter button you want to program while watching the indicator light on HomeLink. Continue to hold the hand-held button until the HomeLink indicator light flashes rapidly or is continuously on
      5. Press and hold the HomeLink button you programmed for two seconds, then release. You may need to do this twice to activate the door

    I was deadset on ordering a Corsair this year, but when I learned about the refresh for 2024 (Grand Touring is what I'm looking at), decided to wait. During this time, I've read a lot of reviews and watched the videos. I've also joined Lincoln'sFB page. I've read about Corsair owners with electronic issues that dealers don't know how to fix and the car ends up back at the service dept time and again, or are left there for weeks at a time. I see the Corsair showing up on the 'Worst SUVS of 2022' lists (and so forth). Consumer Reports says "We expect the 2022 Corsair will be much less reliable than the average new car." And the 2022 currently has 1 recall in place. With all that said, I've read reports that most Corsair owners would buy another despite the issues they've had. Nonetheless... I'm rethinking Lincoln. I know you love your Lincolns, but honestly, I need reliability. I live in the middle of the desert. I don't want to end up with my car dying and being stuck alone out there hundreds of miles from anywhere. So to Steve and other Corsair owners, please tell me your thoughts. I really was (am) hooked on her..but is she worth the risk?

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Refresh should hopefully bring the Sync4 media screen so if you're not in a rush to buy it could make sense to wait for the newer tech. I know a number of folks who have been driving their Corsair for 2+ years without issue.
      It all comes down to a numbers game - how many vehicles have issues compared to number of units sold. It's the same with different manufacturers where issues may be found after the vehicle is shipped and customers start to notice things happen. Benefit of Lincoln is you have the 6 year 110,000 km (70,000 miles) roadside assistance and powertrain warranty that would cover you if issues do come up

    • @chrisholland
      @chrisholland 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh hey, it's me! Lincoln bought my '20 Corsair back because it had electrical problems they never could resolve. Phantom windshield wipers, seats that would move themselves while driving, center screen that would lock up randomly, radio that would randomly quict working, multiple parking camera failures. Phone as key never worked right. The right DRL would quit working randomly. Symphonic chimes would randomly quit. It had a phantom parasitic draw that drained the battery if not driven daily, caused random error messages. I absolutely loved mine when it was working properly, but ultimately it was lemon. Also all those Lincoln perks they advertise like pick-up and drop-off of vehicles for service appointments, and loaner cars for the day? Not since COVID - most dealerships don't have the staff or the inventory to offer those services now. You're lucky to get an appointment to drop it off 6 weeks from now.

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@chrisholland curious... how long did you have the car before it started giving you issues and how long before the buyout ended up happening? What did you end up moving into after the Corsair gave you problems?

    • @chrisholland
      @chrisholland 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CarsWithSteve - I had no issues the first 3-4 months. The build quality was impressive off the showroom floor. I saw one very minor paint flaw and the center dashboard speaker grille wouldnt lay flush. The problems started around the first service at 6 months and snowballed from there. It was bought back at 16 months, replaced with a '21 Nautilus. Nautilus has been pretty reliable the 1st year. Sync 4 is a lot more stable, occasional issues with AA and Carplay that can be resolved while driving. The dealership service experience is still pretty bad.

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@chrisholland Really odd that it started acting up after the dealer visit. Did you end up moving to another Lincoln dealer for servicing?

Looks like I'll be waiting until next Fall. What's another year at this point?! I've done so much research on this car, it's worth waiting for!
