I have this computer and I use it for recording music. Works perfect for my needs. I have a 500g SSD and a 1TB HDD for my data. I just had to change the battery and thanks to TH-cam videos I was able to do it myself. I've had this computer for 6 years and it's still running great..
Thanks man, I was hoping you to show league of legends performance. But anyways I'm thinking of getting this only for some light office stuff and only league so it should be fine.
Hi and thanks for the video! I have the same laptop and I was wondering if you are still using it and how does it work after so many years. Mine seems to have issues with driver updates, even though I've purchased a Windows licence a few years ago. It's struggling to work as it was working back in 2015 when it was new. I'm trying to figure out what should I do in order to 'bring it back to life'. Maybe it only works on a certain Windows version, or maybe a hard drive upgrade can do or I don't know. I think it still has life in it, but it can't keep up with all the Windows and drivers updates. And I should mention I didn't really used it for gaming hahaha, maybe more for some photo processing and as a day to day laptop. I even replaced the battery last year. Anywho, do you have any kind of advice for me? Thanks a lot! Cheers
I'd highly recommend upgrading to an SSD. They really can breathe new life into old systems and they are relatively cheap nowadays . As I mentioned in the video, I upgraded this Asus from a 1TB HDD to a 1TB SSD and it really makes a difference, not only in loading games, but even for basic tasks like web browsing.
@@LevysCustoms Thanks for your answer! I totally agree with the SSD upgrade. On the other hand, I've tried around 3 Windows clean reinstalls in the last 2 years and always had problems with the backlit keyboard driver (of course) + audio drivers. I started doing some reasearch a few months ago on how to fix this problems or try avoiding them by looking maybe for a specific Windows version to use, but with no luck. It's a known issue that some drivers are not updated anymore for some hardware in this Asus model, but still, it must be some sort of workaround in order to have a functional laptop, even though it's around 5 years old. I'll try again with a different Windows, bought directly from a shop, upgrade to a SSD and more RAM, even though Windows boots quite fine and performance is ok. The lack of drivers support I think it drives me crazy :)
heya! i'm a video editor, currently travelling and i needed to leave my pc behind but now i have to buy some budget editing laptop to work with. I use mostly AE and the adobe suite. Someone offered this computer to me, and i wanted to know if it was good enough these days. Thanks, loved the video! :)

League should run well at high settings. It's pretty easy to run.

It should still be fine. I wouldn't pay more than $300 for it though.
@@LevysCustoms cool thank you so much. And how do you feel a Lenovo Ideapad 300s-15ARR with ryzen5 2500u would run? i got that offered as well
The Asus would be much better. The Lenovo is more of a budget office laptop.
Thank you🙏

Look for a single stick of the same type of memory that's in there. DDR4 2400T

My cousin is selling his laptop to me for $250 (2nd hand) do you think its worth it?
Depends on what you wanna do with it. I sold this one for $300, so $250 isn't a bad deal.
For lightroom or might install GTA V
Then I think it's a pretty good deal. The screen has great color accuracy.
I have this lol 😂 though i am looking for a upgrade
