Hi Kirsch , so under package symbols I am unable to find any part that starts with SMD? would I need to create my own footprint in this case , or is there a way of importing these? Thanks for your great videos.
@@techedkirschEE UPDATE: I read one of your comments and fixed the problem! Thanks! Thank you for your reply Kirsch. When I tried to search for jumper I only found a 2 pin one. I was thinking maybe I am missing something but when I navigated to the folder SPB_17.2/share/pcb/pcb_lib/symbols , I saw that many of the jumpers that showed up on your end are in that folder but I cannot see them when I place part in the PCB editor even after ticking the library and database before searching. Is there anything I am missing? Thank you
Hi, when I search the packages for the resistors and capacitors, only "smdres" and "smdcap" are shown. No specifics for 1206 and so on. Why is this? Thanks.

sir i am using orcad 16.6 version in allegro there is no smd componets are avalible please help .... give sugession to import the smd librarys
what does the #REFDES under the components mean ?
