- This is a session from the US Tour 2017 of Ustaz Javed Ahmed Ghamidi. This session consisted of a special discussion on the Quran, its beauty, coherence, and eloquence. The rest of the session focused on general questions and answers on various topics.
This program was held on September 23, 2017 at Wentz Concert Hall in Naperville, IL (Chicago).

Javed Ahmed Ghamidi is a Pakistani Muslim theologian, a Quran scholar, and an educationist. Mr. Ghamidi is a student of Maulana Amin Ahsan Islahi and Maulana Abul A’la Maududi. Mr. Ghamidi has authored several books, including the bestseller ‘Meezan’, in which he presents a comprehensive treatise on the entire content of Islam. Mr. Ghamidi is a researcher and a critical thinker who has challenged many aspects of the traditional Muslim schools of thought on the basis of evidence from Quran and Sunnah.

ہم مسلمانوں کی اکثریت نے جنت میں جانے کا آسان فارمولہ بنا رکھا ہے یعنی کہ عملی زندگی میں اصل اسلام کو بالائے طاق رکھ کر اپنی من مانی زندگی گذارتے جاؤ اورصرف اسلام کی علامتوں کو اپنا لو اور ان سے اتنا ثواب کما لو کہ دوزخ سے بچ کر جنت میں جایا جاسکے۔
Javed Ahmad Ghamdi saheb is a great scholar and as such a great asset for us Muslims, This is because in him we have a person who can explain various religious issues that a "non-scholar" will find hard to understand and comprehend and he does so apparently without any bias and fixed & adopted way of various schools of thought (Firqas) in various Islamic countries. Ghamidi saheb is by no means an authority and can be questioned and sometimes he does sound as if he feels like an au-thority - after all he is human. People like him are among the better preachers for Islam and should be appreciated by us. I find his explanations of issues in question very impressive indeed
What made you think that he is an authority? He has never claimed that and always approached the tradition as a student. This is the beauty and depth of the tradition that people have come over the past 14 centuries and will keep coming till the end times and keep interpreting it.
