Steven is a true artist. Love how he made a reference to Blade Runner. The feeling I got watching the final scene of Blade Runner is the same feeling I got the first time I heard a Steven Wilson song, pure brilliance! We need to cherish this man.
I like Steven's answering! Just quiet and "normal". Some people might think about some questions they're asked: what a silly question etc etc. The questions are very in-depth but I feel that the journalist is sometimes nervous/hesitating and that feels a little uneasy
I agree, but I liked the interviewer's approach because she pressed him in getting additional information SW wasn't initially giving out. More comes out in Part 2, but I thought the whole interview felt natural.
SW made this into a great interview with his ability to talk in depth, and keep talking, otherwise it would be awkwardly terrible going by the interviewer alone.
i had to just listen to this interview, i couldn't seem to get past the window reflecting in his glasses hahaha. Looked like someone was shining a green laser pointer at him lol. Good interview though! :)
I envy that he had the opportunity to move back to his hometown. I grew up in what would become known as "The Silicon Valley." Nothing remains as it was. I left for the mountains many years ago. I consider myself lucky to have lived in the time of Steven Wilson. Art happens. But artists like Steven Wilson are the reason that art is important.
I can relate to a lot of what Steve says. I’m happy in my life but hate the disconnect of a busy work life & people walking around like zombies looking to make their next dollar. I get the same feelings when I go back to my hometown.
He has such a young looking face...being a vegetarian and staying away from drugs can do that for people. He just happens to be attractive as well as very healthy.
The character seems to have been abducted by another existence other than human beings at the end of the album... If Wilson is a reflection of this character, he must be an Alien. Finally figured it out.

I'm gonna meet this guy sometime, he's too much of a genius for not to
I did! He's really nice!
I wasn't even aware of the story of Joyce Vincent until I'd watched this interview....terribly sad, and yet fascinating at the same time.

Being popular doesn't make music awesome, it's how much heart you put into them:D
This guy could read 4,000 pages of Tax Law books, and I would be captivated. What a dude.
Creative genius is so rare...

Really great in-depth interview. Love the Blade Runner analogy, too.

Ana Keogan Hopefully this correction will be welcome, but it should be,

"I could not not be more in agreement".

"Do YOU know the movie Blade Runner?"

W.J. McKay That's America for you -- ever severing itself from its past. I also envy the notion of having somewhere to go back to.

the guy just does not look like he s in late 40s

@DylanG0125 Being vegetarian does have effects on aging

I totally understand and agree with Steve. Pretty much every answer he gave is what I would've said. Laid back , normal sort of genius isn't he ! ;)
I think the interviewer is Dutch...
FaceCulture is Dutch, yeah
gerwin pot .........and she should have prepared herself a little better.......
How irony! That's funny becuase he's talking exactly about what susana moyaho does in her websites, talking about bullshit and crap, hahaha
That's not ironic. It's coincidental....
