For me, the best artist this century, his albums are all very well produced and vary significantly in style from the last one. The latest live album should be given as a lesson on how to make a great sounding live album, I was at the concert (which also sounded great). Keep doing what you are doing Steven, cant wait to be surprised by the next one.

Very approachable at that time. I'll always be a fan. Anyway, I initially found him through the prog rock genre but I'm glad he has expanded and now has fans from other genres.
Steven talking about the achievement of having a diverse, or "unsorted," audience is something so many artists miss, and it's part of that why he's so great. Steven understands that pigeonholing yourself is one of the worst things you can do as an artist, and by preventing himself from doing that is why he's grown more and more popular as time has gone on.
Just watched this for the first time and I think this is the best interview Steven Wilson has done . Hats off to him but also to the interviewer for the insightful questions and also allowing him the space to answer.

You can't get the whole picture of the band and you can only judge them from a single. We should be listening a whole album, as if we were watching a film or reading a book.

I'm a big PT Steven Wilson Fan, for m e is Fear of the blank Planet one of the best Albums ever, see my Icon, I saw all of his shows since 2010, it a petty I did not know him earlier, but Back to the Bones has a couple of great Songs, but for me it does not have the Wilson Magic. But still he is the Beethoven of our time. In all of his carrier he never wrote an awful Song.
Maybe it’s weird... but I’d love to see SW and Devin Townsend do something together. I feel like Steven could really reel in Devin’s voice and craft something incredible.

My search was for Kari Bremnes, and then I got Steven Wilson as well. Two of my favourites!!
