    Off topic how do you like the F11??

      The F11 is ok if u use it after every wash. But it's over priced for what it is.

    Attach a hose to the leaf blower🤔 cheaper and will be as good as the full size Master Blaster!

      A leaf blower doesn’t have a filter so you just end up sand blasting your paint

    • @akaredcrossbow
      @akaredcrossbow 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mattw8963 I have a Ridgid leaf blower and it has a foam filter where it pulls the air into the motor before blowing out. You could definitely manually attach a foam filter to most leaf blowers if you felt that contamination is a problem. Plus you don’t have to waste money on an expensive car dryer.

    Coolwrld302, i have an idea you can take the hellcat out on the highway go 120mph will guarentee instant drying. Saves you money on blowers it won't guarantee you from speeding citations but it will dry it for sure.

      @coolwrld302  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I love the idea but through my own testing with the coating that is on the car it actually will blow dry at around 65 mph.

      If you're looking specifically for a leaf blower I know this Ego blower www.homedepot.com/p/EGO-110-MPH-530-CFM-Variable-Speed-Turbo-56-Volt-Lithium-ion-Cordless-Electric-Blower-w-2-5Ah-Battery-and-Charger-Included-LB5302/206584690?MERCH=REC-_-PIPHorizontal1_rr-_-300347267-_-206584690-_-N&fbclid=IwAR0XRFAXJCDcpFIwk3RHqMaQj--E-8-j28X4J0qbVey4HSY7vgCXtQVfU7I is recommended by tons of people in all the detailing groups I follow but its pricey.

    Does the Toro blow a bit more air than the master blaster

    • @coolwrld302
      @coolwrld302  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it does move a little more air but the master blaster is easier to use in my opinion.

  • @akaredcrossbow
    @akaredcrossbow 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    You could definitely buy a full size master blaster hose and the soft rubber tip and figure out how to mount the hose to the leaf blower! Mount the leaf blower to a piece of plywood with wire ties and put 4 wheels on it. Save at least $220-$280. Heat gun, epoxy, screws, and some PCV pipe should work to adapt the hose to the leaf blower! Cost $45-$50 for the leaf blower, $60 for the 30’ hose with the rubber tip and connector already attached, $50 for miscellaneous parts= $160 VS $389-$449 for the master blaster.🤔

      That's a good idea for doing something on the cheap

    • @akaredcrossbow
      @akaredcrossbow 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      coolwrld302 Definitely! I just don’t think that the master blaster is worth what they charge for it! $210 would be a better price for that machine, even that’s a bit high. I don’t like to cheap out when it comes to a tool that is designed well and really can’t be duplicated that easily like the master blaster, but if you add a thin filter to the simple design of the leaf blower you have a machine that can. If you can duplicate something in your garage and make it for much less than the original overpriced product is, then it’s not worth what they are selling it for imo. I wonder if the small Ridgid detailing vacuum would have enough power with the blower option to do the same thing adding a master blaster 30’ hose?

      I hear you. Luckily for me my wife is a self employed dog groomer and the same company makes a "dog drying" version so we used it as a business expense because my wife can use it if her current one dies.

    The leaf blower looked like it did the best. faster and more air. But yes larger. i would say remove the tube and make a smaller one.

    • @coolwrld302
      @coolwrld302  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea the leaf blower probably does move more air. never even considered modifying the tube to make it more manageable and at this point the Master Blaster has been working good.

    • @thisone.
      @thisone. 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@coolwrld302 I have a craftsman C3 cordless 450cfm 140 mph that I cut the tube down and attached a 1" ID pvc 3" length tube and it worked great. Not as long and more manageable. I did try attaching a shop vac hose to it and the pressure dropped significantly. Planning on next is making some sort of removable wand with holes to move air in a wider pattern for the flat areas. Like this guy th-cam.com/video/KW2zCvhx-Jc/w-d-xo.html

    • @coolwrld302
      @coolwrld302  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thisone. I've seen videos of guys modifying their leaf blowers one even used some kind of runner gasket on the end so that if something bumped the car it would be the rubber instead of the hard plastic.

    • @thisone.
      @thisone. 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@coolwrld302 Yeah I'm planning on using a pvc end cap on the wand and then wrapping that with a small piece of microfiber towel that I cut to shape. In case I tap the paint. Without the wand it gets no where near the car. Check out that link. Video sucks but the concept is sound. And I would retest the smaller blower of yours with and without the hose to see what works better . I think the hose is reducing your air speed due to all those ripples. Causes mini vortexes that cause restrictions.

    I also used a leaf blower for a while on my Porsche Panamera before buying the Metro master blaster and in all honesty my Black & Decker leaf blower rated at 260 mph seems to blow harder and remove water faster than the Metro. I'm actually disappointed. I have decided to try an experiment and buy a second master blaster and the optional Y- adapter (MAF-MVC82B) that will run both metro's into the same hose to try to get the kind of air speed and volume you get from the air blower when coming out of a typical car wash. Will need two separate 20 amp circuits to plug them up but truthfully I expected more than just near equal to a leaf blower. To prove it, I blew a pile of leaves with the metro and then with a leaf blower and the leaf blower moved more leaves further away than the metro. Manufacturer said the Metro moves air at 649 mph. I strongly disagree.

    • @coolwrld302
      @coolwrld302  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will have to let me know how that works out as an option although not sure I'm up to dropping another 3-4 bills on a second master blaster. I think my original Toro leaf blower probably moved almost as much air as the master blaster but as I mentioned in the video I just kept picturing in my head every time I used it that I was going to drop it on the car. Way easier to hold the master blaster hose up over the roof to blow it off than a 7lb leaf blower.

    • @hellbent7062
      @hellbent7062 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      coolwrld302 Well I have done the test. Got actual results. No opinions. No guess work. Check out my Metrovac versus cheap $49 Black & Decker 250 mph leaf blower test video. I ran them both through a Y-pipe to double the air power and to see which one can blow a 4x4 block of wood over. The leaf blower won every time. The Metrovac could not blow it over not even once. For ridiculously more power and much cheaper too...Get 2 Y-pipes (or an old exhaust manifold) get rid if the Metrovac and get 3 cheap B&D leaf blowers and run them all into 1 single 30 foot hose. OMG!!

      Hellbent706 did you try using your leaf blower with a hose to control the flow of air? I tried a leaf blower with a hose and it sucked :( I would like to find a good solution with the 30 ft hose option

    • @byammine
      @byammine 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The leaf blower is going to push more leaves because of its wide airstream, the master blaster ends are meant to direct the air into a small area for more pressure therefore it won’t blow nearly as many leaves, its air will just blow a narrow path through them only moving the ones in its way

  • @genysmenrunner1677

    Do you recommend any cordless blower or electric? In my home depot there is the ryobi 480cfm, milwaukee 450cfm and a dewalt 400cfm all cordless. They are all pricey. I saw an toro electric for $60 with 725cfm and 140mph but I don’t know if it bothers the cord. They do not carry any of the ego blowers and also they are $200+. I am concerned about the battery because many people use the ego with turbo but it last like 15min, I don’t know if at a weaker setting is strong enough

    • @coolwrld302
      @coolwrld302  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally having used the corded Toro leaf blower I'm not a fan. Sure they work good but to me they are big and a pain in the ass to maneuver around the car. Plus the ends are usually hard plastic which scars the crap out of me. I have seen people modify theirs by shortening the tubes and or adding rubber edging to the end to try and minimize possibility of damage. If you are going to go that route the consensus seems to be that the Worx and Ego brands are the way to go. For me I will stick with the Master Blaster as the hose is much easier to deal with and it has excellent performance especially if you use a dedicated 20amp circuit and both motors.

      Just as a side note in the video the little Master Blaster Side Kick does an decent job too it just takes longer. But it is a lot cheaper than the full master blaster and you can find hoses online that will fit it and make it a little more usable.
