New dishes (new to me, common to households in the region) every meal. With their beautiful kerala parotta. Really using a glove to eat indian curry. We wash our hand thoroughly before and after eating and it isn't compulsory to use hand to eat rice we also sometime use spoon. You could also use a spoon.

As someone from Hawaii, I would say Japanese curry is more popular and common to see here. It has always been my favorite style of curry but my gf is Thai and her family own their own restaurant here, after dating her and experiencing traditional Thai and Laos food. I would have to say my favorite curry is a tie between Japanese and Thai curry. Regardless, curry is always a great comfort food and taste delicious no matter the country of origin.
No one eats that kind of curry and naan regularly, only when we go to restaurants. The daily curry is more watery, and more like japanese one. Kids(and me lol) don't usually enjoy it like they love these fancy orangish curries

You forgot the best curry in my opinion: Thai curries! I have had several Thai and Indian curries and a Japanese one. I have not yet tasted the Korean style though :( Compared to the Indian & Thai curry, Japanese curry tasted a bit mild/bland. Topings are great though! I'm glad the Indian girl Kiran clarified that there is no single Indian curry, but they denote many many different curries. I am wondering about something: In western culture, I have always been taught that to stuff your mouth full like they do in the video is rude... I guess this is not the same in SE-Asia? Yes, food etiquettes are definitely in place like talk less while you eat and don't eat with your mouthfull. But most of asian countries, eat dinner and lunch with families, so we tend to talk while eating. And in asian countries, we eat large portions of rice and when mixed with curry or something, it looks huge in mouth when we eat. Idk if this even justfies as an answer. :0
In western countries of asia it's the same eating big bites and stuffing mouth is not considered polite or talking when there is food in your mouth but it's definitely different in east asia as slurping, big bites are ok while eating. I can say compared to west eating style and etiquette is more diverse depending on the region. In my country eating with hand, stuffing your mouth and talking while eating is a bad manner bit in other parts it's a part of their culture! So for Asia we can't say overally we do this and that compared to western countries.

My mom always make butter chicken masala instead of normal curry and also kadhai paneer. We have some native dishes too. But generally in a daily basis , we Assamese ppl eat curries of different pulses, which other ppl eat too. So it's different from other northeastern states

We also have our version of curry in Philippines , unlike to other countries curry , we put coconut milk to enhance its flavour and to give a slightly sweetness, we also put other herbs and spices too like laurel leaves, lemongrass, ginger, bellpeppers, blackpepper corns and chillies that Korean and Japanese curry don't have...
My late uncle had an indian friend who taught him to cook indian cuisine. He passed the recipe to my father and we love this certain indian food that my father only cook on special occassion. I HAVE to mention kerala (a state in the south of India), when I was there a couple years ago, holy f... every single meal I had there was h e a v e n l y. New dishes (new to me, common to households in the region) every meal. With their beautiful kerala parotta. Best food I've ever eaten omg now my mouth's watering :")) basically if you ever visit kerala (you must) and this is esp for my fellow indians you HAVE to try their local cuisine. It's *chef's kiss*. Really using a glove to eat indian curry. We wash our hand thoroughly before and after eating and it isn't compulsory to use hand to eat rice we also sometime use spoon. You could also use a spoon.

We had no tourists reasoning being poor background and dirty country which happened by british rules. But now the situation is different. I see Indian cuisine in top3 in future and it's very soon. As someone from Hawaii, I would say Japanese curry is more popular and common to see here. It has always been my favorite style of curry but my gf is Thai and her family own their own restaurant here, after dating her and experiencing traditional Thai and Laos food. I would have to say my favorite curry is a tie between Japanese and Thai curry. Regardless, curry is always a great comfort food and taste delicious no matter the country of origin.

Compared to the Indian & Thai curry, Japanese curry tasted a bit mild/bland. Topings are great though!

Yes, food etiquettes are definitely in place like talk less while you eat and don't eat with your mouthfull. But most of asian countries, eat dinner and lunch with families, so we tend to talk while eating. And in asian countries, we eat large portions of rice and when mixed with curry or something, it looks huge in mouth when we eat. Idk if this even justfies as an answer. :0
In western countries of asia it's the same eating big bites and stuffing mouth is not considered polite or talking when there is food in your mouth but it's definitely different in east asia as slurping, big bites are ok while eating. I can say compared to west eating style and etiquette is more diverse depending on the region. In my country eating with hand, stuffing your mouth and talking while eating is a bad manner bit in other parts it's a part of their culture! So for Asia we can't say overally we do this and that compared to western countries.
Eating manners is based on ur society. India is filled with poor people who are mostly daily wagers. It will change when we increase our per capita income. Even in Europe eating manners is a elite concept before industrial revolution

@@Harry_2003 I'm from Assam. But I think Assam is quite different from the other northeastern states. The food is kinda similar to the main Indian dishes. My mom always make butter chicken masala instead of normal curry and also kadhai paneer. We have some native dishes too. But generally in a daily basis , we Assamese ppl eat curries of different pulses, which other ppl eat too. So it's different from other northeastern states

We also have our version of curry in Philippines , unlike to other countries curry , we put coconut milk to enhance its flavour and to give a slightly sweetness, we also put other herbs and spices too like laurel leaves, lemongrass, ginger, bellpeppers, blackpepper corns and chillies that Korean and Japanese curry don't have...
My late uncle had an indian friend who taught him to cook indian cuisine. He passed the recipe to my father and we love this certain indian food that my father only cook on special occassion. I think it's called Roti Prata? My father cook that whenever he's happy too😔😞 The food we can never taste again my father died last summer😭
