I did like the previous version of the focus on the outside. Inside on this model looks good but the outisife especially the headlamps needs improvement on. The rear and side are fine. But the front I’m not too sure about.

Grex79 Got bad news for ya buddy. Have you not heard??? Ford is killing every single car line it makes except for the Mustang. I’m a Focus ST3 owner. I couldn’t be more bummed out.
The ST is going to have the 2.3 ecoboost.
Personally I would like to see a Focus ST with a performance hybrid eco boost engine. (A little brother to the Police Interceptor if you will)
If they change their mind and offer it in the US they should offer it with just the 2.0 ecoblue ,2.0 GDI and the 2.3 ecoboost as there's need need for any other options.

need better colour choices, 2 silver, 2 blue, 2 red, and 1 white/black/grey -- where is yellow, green and other popular choices?? Also very poor engine choices on ST-Line (only 125PS petrol), where is the 150 or 182 option, or has the configurator not been updated fully?? All model seem to only show 2 engine choices.
Hopefully Ford won't ruin the design by adding a saloon version!

I'll just buy a Honda or Toyota or pay more for a Chevy Impala or even wait a year or more for a Tesla 3.

The only blind one here is you. What's happened is Ford has had to up their game in terms of design, something which the previous bland, boring focus lacked. The i30 has always been adventurous and quite stunning in design and that carries on to the current model, perhaps a slight change in direction in design from sleek, flowing and futuristic curves and into a more elegant and European focused design. The focus has always been bland and generic and lacked any character until now, where they've copied everyone else. (Except the golf, that's even more bland).

I have been waiting for this car for a long time and I am disappointed. 1.5 EcoBoost have only 3 cylinders 👎, no rear vents 👎, stupid looking interior (sticked LCD) 👎

Hello America! Have you people been living under a rock? Ford is killing off its entire car line in America except for the Mustang. Unbelievable but true. The focus (no pun intended) is trucks and SUV’s
The mustang and the focus will remain for now, Other models are coming but the focus is on producing more electrified models for future demand.
The North American market will only be getting the focus Active( crossover) and the Mustang for cars. All of the other cars... Cmax, Taurus, fusion, focus, and Fiesta will be discontinued due to a decline in sales within the last 5 years. Over the next few years, ford will replace all of these cars with smaller SUVs and crossovers like the new escape, eco-sport, bronco, baby bronco, some of which may be all outright electric or have greener alternatives.

Philip Rosenthale Yeah, because no one is buying small cars and sedans in N America anymore. There are rumors Toyota, Hyundai etc will be axing their sedans as well. Not to mention, gm said that they will be significantly reducing their investment into sedans and small cars moving forward.
Philip Rosenthale Bro, ford is very opposed to rolling back cafe EPA targets. The government is trying to and ford is basically begging them not to. This has nothing to do with environmental agendas, it has to do with the fact that anyone who isn't brain dead can see N America consumers have lost their interist in small cars and sedans. Not European or Asian consumers, American consumers. Ford's investing in electrification, and plans on having 40 NEW electrified vehicles out by 2022. 24 hybrids, 16 evs. If that's not good enough for you, I don't know what is.

Personally I do not like this design at all (bmw s1 ?!). It seems a mistake to lose the personality that was in the previous design, which I personally adore. I'm sorry and although I love the Ford brand in this generation, I do not like the focus at all.
Ford has ruined the looked of the mustang , now also the focus?they need to leave them alone. 2015 mustang looks like the hammerhead shark, 2018 was the bottom feeder catfish, new Ford Focus looks like a Subaru car for women, no longer for the boy enthusiast hatchback, ford is going away from what ford is all about. The pony car for all ages, the hatchback of Europe that everyone had to have but couldn’t get and now you can purchase but it doesn’t have the look of the past anymore?sad, no more large fog lights which is the signature look to the past mustangs of old, round headlights, than a Japanese fish look, your fat girlfriend sat in the front hood for the new mustang. Had the 2014 GT premium look to the last of the pony look, now it’s a catfishes, with a triangular fog lamp that doesn’t work at all when you need fog lamps on bad weathers , what’s next?im glad I got on of the last mustang pony car, now it looks like a camaro, bottom feeder, Asian, very expensive, you have to pay more for the better looking facia(gt350/r /s650?no thanks ford
Doesn't look good outside (like worse version of Hyundai or another Korean car), extremly bad inside (like a Fiesta, not Focus, and that "tablet"... hell no!!)... at least looks like new generation (after 14years waiting).
Anyway, I don't really care. Simple question: Night vision? Yes? I'm going to buy 1 (especialy with nv displayed on instrument cluster) No? So I'm out, even as a Ford fan and ex-owner...
But also need to point out - ford's 180* cameras in front/rear bumpers are cool, really like that feature. From the other side shame (and disappointment), leds are not that usefull (dynamic range, driving with high beams without blinding other road users) like in other cars.

In the uk you can get 180 hp with an automatic gearbox
