Matt and his team have done it again with Jamie, Lizzy, Colin, jefe and even Jamie's Dad helped out! Good job rounding up all the vehicles for this recovery!
Great team effort by Matt and Crew as usual. Reminds me of a somewhat similar situation with a big slide in camper sunk to the extended rear bumper in mud by the Owens River above Crowley Lake in California. There was about 20 feet of uphill out of the bog on onto dry dirt road. I was fishing and heard a Baja Bug reving it's engine. A guy was trying to pull it out with a chain so short that the Bug still was on the incline. Of course it didn't work. I reeled in my line and walked over to talk to the owners of the pickup/camper. They had a friend with 2 wheel drive F250 that showed up to help. The couple with the stuck camper and their friend was 70+ years old and the friend with the "Rescue F-250" was very hard of hearing. I told them I had a rope that would get the job done. I returned about 15 minutes later with a 35 foot 1 1/2" nylon rope with eyes braided on each end. We hooked up with about 15 foot of slack and I told him to just gas it. He eased the slack out and started trying to pull slipping the clutch. I waved my arms stopped him, and tried to explain that he needed momentum and that the rope would stretch. He didn't understand and repeated taking out the slack as if he were using a tow chain. I stopped him and finally got across to him to get a run with slack in the rope. He took off with about 15 foot of slack and the stuck truck made the sound of breaking the vacuum as it popped out onto the dry road. "The rope did all the work," the old guy said with a big smile. I didn't know to call it a kinetic rope at the time. They wanted to pay me but I declined. "We gave the guy in the Volkswagen $20." said the Lady.
