If Kalen King turns out to be the 2022 version of himself in the NFL, then this by far the steal of the entire 2024 draft class. Hopefully our coaching staff can bring out the best in him. Kalen King didn’t just have as good as a year in 2023 as he did in 2022. Kalen King could be the biggest steal in the draft, we develop a lot out of our players. Great pickup by our Green Bay Packers in the 7th round, he’s got the skills, we just need to coach him up and help him regain his confidence. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛
The Packers aren't afraid to try to see if King will return to his 22' form. They did this with Love and somebody else they have a good season followed up with not the best season and then Packers draft people who have high RAS and are hungry to prove that they are NFL starters. Plus this is a 7th round pick so if he doesn't work out not a back breaker. Smart drafting gets you good players. I think the Packers will be very good this season! Go Pack Go 🧀
I think he had a good 2022 because of porter jr. King was tasked with the second best receiver in 2022 i believe. Im glad we have him though because I'm a big Michigan fan and I know king very well. Great pick in round seven at that.💚💛
Our DBs get hurt every season, so I think it's smart drafted young dbs. Plus, I feel that with this draft, we got a little nasty or bad ass or swagger with these players. Our defense doesn't scare anyone, so it will be nice to get some players with chips on their shoulder.
There could b alot of factors in his drop in play. Injury, scheme or coaching change or maybe something going on with family. I think this could b a good fit for GB. We tend to hit on these types of players and taking a 7th round flyer on the guy is a good move
It's a very sensible way to find value to pick guys who had a down year, but showed high production the year prior. There are guys who get picked high almost purely on unproven upside. To pick a guy who showed elite production before having a down year almost seems like a safer bet. Lots of things can contribute to that: A change in scheme, injury, a drop in supporting cast, etc.
I could honestly see a scenario where this dude takes the roster spot of someone like Eric Stokes. Gutekunst has drafted very well, but that Stokes pic will come back to haunt him.
Penn State probably played Porter Jr. on the top WR in 2022 but he was drafted, and King was forced to play CB1 and couldn't handle it because very few Big10 teams have multiple weapons so their WR1 will be targeted more than most.
Some people talk about the draft like round 1 picks are gods and round 7 picks are scrubs. Yes, there's a difference in talent from top to bottom, but the reason round 7 picks sometimes become stars is because every player in the draft is extremely talented. Purdy proved that most recently. Dude was literally the very last pick and now he's the leader of the 49ers. There's twice as many players that don't get drafted that are out there wishing they were good enough to be called, and even more that knew they weren't good enough for the pros so they fell back on their college degrees. King may not be a superstar, but he's still a stud, and he will be fine.
Let's hope he's great cause we gotta deal with a division with LOTS of great receivers. JJ, Addison, Moore, Allen, St Brown. Nothing but weapons in the NFC north.
People make the mistake of thinking a new season will be a continuation of a good second half of the previous season. It isn't like that.. a new foundation has to laid every season..
Loved King at Pennstate. He definitely took a step down, but I think some of his negative stats are misleading. He was asked to lock down the top guy every game.
We should focus on leaving Nixon as a return kick off and punt let our safety’s cook and cb roast I think we are going to be more thank ok in the backfield I’m more worried about d line but I also think w the new additions to line backer and safety we will get the to the qb way faster than anyone thinks less than 2.5 seconds for a qb to react going against this insane Jeff Hafley defense
i think its because in 2022 he had a partner in crime joey porter jr. this year he never had another great corner alongside him. just like jaire. he was great when stokes player with him. but the year stokes was hurt jaire struggled because if one part of the db core is lacking which it was for king and jaire they will look worse.
King is a 'surprise package' ... the Packers don't know yet whether he's a gold ring or a broken kazoo - that's what makes surprise packages so exciting, at least for a while. Investing a 7th round draft pick isn't much risk...
He was projected to go in the first rd after last years draft. What happened not sure. But if he comes in gets back to his old self we got ourselves a steel for sure.
Yeah, King is gonna be the next cornerback savior of the franchise. Most likely that's a "no," but he played some solid corner at Penn State over several years. You'd think maybe he'd go in the 3rd or 4th round because of the inconsistency in his last season. He'll show his true value when camp comes along. He'll add some healthy competition to the corner room.
I bet this kid had some kind of injury situation that he didn't tell anyone about. I mean, a player doesn't go from a middle of the first round prospect to nearly being undrafted in one year without having something physical hampering him.
"I've got a permanent chick on my shoulder" Yeah if girl problems were what caused him to have a bad season, is gonna be a steal as long as he can stay disciplined going forward
NFL is a what have you done for me lately not a year ago league. People tend to have recency bias. He fell to the 7th round for a reason. That being said, drafting him that low is a low risk move. Hopefully he plays better than his draft spot
Luke not to be off subject here but i need you to go look at Nick Wrights ridiculous quarterback mountain. Just go have a look. Look right at it. Youll see something shocking in there. Its bad. Its making me feel anger. Anger Luke.
We out in most of America hope NOT. Aaron Rogers is gone, but we are still SICK of the Packers and would like to see other teams in the playoffs for a long time to come.
Anyone with the last name king has me traumatized after Kevin King’s NFC championship performance against the buccaneers in 2020. Let’s hope he shocks the world and is a steal 🔥
The only thing that bothers me is we had a different DB named King a couple years ago--as long as they are not related I am good with it!! LOL I like his attitude and wish him well!! GO PACK GO
You could tell in his voice he was thankful and said he's gonna show the world how good he is. Could tell he was holding back tears, I would be too
I cant find the video of him getting the call! Any suggestions?
It’s his confidence people never talk about the mental part of the game. It can be the most important part of anyone’s game
Donald Driver and Adam Timmerman were both seventh rounders.
Good point
I think they should do a psych evaluation. Start there to help him. the rest is just mechanics. Sounds like he has the skills.
They are the exceptions, not the rule.
Yes, we know!

Every preseason there are players to watch closely and King is one of those for me this coming season.
Same here can’t wait to see how he and the other rookies perform
Packers are going to be crazy this year. I’m the most hype I’ve been since after the season we won the chip with Rodgers.
Any Packer corner with the last name King instantly gives me PTSD
😂😂😂😂
Carry that Chip on your journey .
Guess what ?
You got a Clean Slate now.
Go Get it !!!
Go Pack Go !!!
With our new defensive coach who is a DB specialist I think he’s going to shine same with our whole defense
Definitely gonna be a steal and a Baller!!!
Always enjoy your content. TY

Imagine gute hits on 2 7th round corners in a row. He ready to get his get back.
I love his gratitude such a good quality hope he turns out to be a stud
Pre combine, King was ranked 38th overall in the consensus big board. He fell hard after that testing

What was Penn State's schedule in 22 compared to 23?
That's what I want to know. Was he just matched up with better receivers in'23?
I could honestly see a scenario where this dude takes the roster spot of someone like Eric Stokes. Gutekunst has drafted very well, but that Stokes pic will come back to haunt him.
Pulling for Kalen... He was one of my favorite picks this year.
Penn State probably played Porter Jr. on the top WR in 2022 but he was drafted, and King was forced to play CB1 and couldn't handle it because very few Big10 teams have multiple weapons so their WR1 will be targeted more than most.
I agree he's a steal. The best part is he went to the right team that knows how to develop players.
His RAS jumps up to 71% if he makes the switch to safety. 34% 40 time has people questioning if he can play corner in the nfl.

Form hasn't gone anywhere. He just needs the proper motivation to shine. Thanks Luke! Love watching your subs bumping up. Well deserved 👍
Let's hope he's great cause we gotta deal with a division with LOTS of great receivers. JJ, Addison, Moore, Allen, St Brown. Nothing but weapons in the NFC north.
This team is special, can already feel it. Don’t be surprised when we win it all this year!
People make the mistake of thinking a new season will be a continuation of a good second half of the previous season. It isn't like that.. a new foundation has to laid every season..
So was Mark Tauscher.....
Loved King at Pennstate. He definitely took a step down, but I think some of his negative stats are misleading. He was asked to lock down the top guy every game.
The Gute uses a 7'th round pick to get a possible starting CB, pure genius and luck. Good luck Mister King 👑 Go Pack Go!!!!

I don’t trust any DB with the name King on our roster.
SAME! I Heard king and had PTSD
People keep forgetting that 2022 he was a sophomore and 23 was just a bad season for him. He still a dominant player just young and needs good coaches
King is a 'surprise package' ... the Packers don't know yet whether he's a gold ring or a broken kazoo - that's what makes surprise packages so exciting, at least for a while. Investing a 7th round draft pick isn't much risk...

I have a lot of confidence in this kid!😮
Great Video!
He played not to hurt and it cost him but thanks we will take him
You should always keep three QBs-here's hoping GB does the same. Love-Clifford-Pratt. Has kind of a ring to it, doesn't it?
Keep that chip on your shoulder. Show them who you really are.
He’s definitely my steal of the draft. He was a elite in 22. I think he will show up with something to prove.

Donald Driver!!
It's going to be hard to play CB at an elite level in the NFL when you run 4.61
richard sherman… 😭
I bet this kid had some kind of injury situation that he didn't tell anyone about. I mean, a player doesn't go from a middle of the first round prospect to nearly being undrafted in one year without having something physical hampering him.
Ran 4.5 after the combine...
He still didn’t give up a td all year
I watched his film vs Michigan state. Ima be honest that game made him look really good and made Jayden Reed look bad Ngl
Kalen is Kevin's little brother ?
This is exactly what could happen with Love.
Donald driver was a 7th, I mean look at Brock Purdy
"I've got a permanent chick on my shoulder"
Yeah if girl problems were what caused him to have a bad season, is gonna be a steal as long as he can stay disciplined going forward
There is no video of jalen king in this video, just so y'all don't also waste 10 minutes!
His problem is he ran a 4.6..now maybe he wasn't feeling well or a bit injured
But Marlon Humphrey & Sauce Gardner weren't burners either..
Could be anything..a nagging little injury..family problems..academic issues..girl issues..nobody can really know..
Or maybe a guy who he was trying to compensate for another player in the seconday
4.6 40? This is the nfl.
What changed in his game 🤔 toxic relationship look at his girlfriend 🤔
NFL is a what have you done for me lately not a year ago league. People tend to have recency bias. He fell to the 7th round for a reason. That being said, drafting him that low is a low risk move. Hopefully he plays better than his draft spot
Many Penn State fans who watched him play said he was garbage. Hopefully not
Luke not to be off subject here but i need you to go look at Nick Wrights ridiculous quarterback mountain. Just go have a look. Look right at it. Youll see something shocking in there. Its bad. Its making me feel anger. Anger Luke.
Does anyone here know why he had a sub par 2023 season?
Our last King didn’t pan out to well. He was a CB as well. Who remembers Kevin King?
I'm still scarred from when King got burned in the NFC Championship game against the bucs
Word smh that was dreadful. And did GB lose by only 5 points that game? Not only that, he just simply couldn’t stay healthy
Hopefully he's not related to Kevin King
Yessirrrr
We out in most of America hope NOT. Aaron Rogers is gone, but we are still SICK of the Packers and would like to see other teams in the playoffs for a long time to come.
As long he is nothing like Kevin King im happy wit dat
