    In today's video, I'm going to show you how I built this really clean, modern looking handrail system with led stair treads.
    The Handrail was made from Western Maple and the glass was purchased from my local glass supplier. The stair treads were made from Eastern Maple and the risers where made from 1/4" may primed then painted with Benjamin Moore Scuff-x
    Few Things that I used in the making of this table.

    I hope that glass is hardened and turns into bits of glass gravel when it shatters, instead of large lethal glass knives. Honestly I think using clear ultra-scratch-resistant Lexan or similar would have been vastly better than any type of glass. Even a kid running full tilt and sliding into that type of Lexan would just bounce off and it would still look basically exactly like glass. I'm also a bit concerned about the actual strength of that post since it's only half thickness going through the floor but it's probably just me being overly conservative.

    Food for thought for some future videos/tutorials: If you could not use your shop tools as I'm sure lots of newbies like me don't have them and would struggle to work out how we could complete a project with standard/basic tools.

    • @RadDadBuilds
      @RadDadBuilds  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly the subfloor adhesive or any construction adhesive would be strong enough to hold the treads down. You might want to tape them to secure them in place until the adhesive has dried. They tend to move slightly as you walk on them when wet.
