    Can you re-number landmarks? Say I'm working on fossil specimens, and some are missing elements but including specimens with a couple landmarks I can't really add is the only way to have a viable sample size, could I re-number certain landmarks?

    Can the building and landmarking be done in the Morpho J itself?

    Hi denise,,I have landmark type 1 and also midpoint landmark. do i have to put the all type 1 landmark first, then i can proceed to put midpoint landmark?

    Hi Denise, when inputting info for my specimens I've been putting in standard length in the 'Variable' field, is there a way to pass that on to MorphoJ or should that be done separately as Classifiers

    I was wondering how to deal with the semi-landmarks from Morpho J. Thank you for your very informative video! From Korea.

      Hey, if you use the "append TPS curve to landmarks" then you will be able to import the TPS file into MorphoJ as usual.

    Hi Denise, to work on Mac what programs can I use to replace TPSUtil and TPSDig? Thank you!

    HI Denise, I was wondering if the curve has to be between two landmarks or whether it makes a difference if they start at a slightly different position of each specimen (due to obstructions in the photos)?

    Hi Denise, Thank you for the video, let me ask how to rotate the image in tpsdig2,? because my sample photos is not in the same direction after inputed to tpsdig2.

      Hi Jefri,
      If you go into 'Image tools' then 'Tools' then 'Flip', you can alter the orientation of your image.

    Hi Denise, thankyou so much for these videos, they are so informative and have helped me greatly! I was wondering if it's possible to load more images into a TPS file when you've already done the landmarks on the others? i.e. Am I able to increase my sample size without starting from scratch on all the images? Many thanks, Ellie :)

      Hi Ellen, I had a similar issue and was able to figure it out. Once you move your new photos into your working directory folder with your tps file and original images you can open the tps file in a text editor and write in the images in with the following format.
      LM=0
      IMAGE=IMAGENAME.JPG
      ID=whatever number photo comes next in the series
      Hope this helps!

    Is it necessary to set the scale for every single image when we have used the same ruler and photography setup for all of them?

    • @DeniseCramptonTutorials
      @DeniseCramptonTutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, or at least you could set the scale for the first one and then copy and paste the "SCALE= xx" for each specimen with the file opened in notepad

    Hi Denise, great video. Is it possible to landmark photos from different perspectives (dorsal head view vs. whole body view) in the same tps file or should they be done separately?

    • @DeniseCramptonTutorials
      @DeniseCramptonTutorials  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Dan, apologies for the late reply. They should be done separately!

      @DeniseCramptonTutorials  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Suradet, I might need a little more detail here. What do you mean exactly? You can create a .TPS file using tpsutil, then open that in notepad?
