when the silence was first announced... it was the most amazing horror mod available... not another dweller reskin... and then it was left... well... in silence...
also the Fuse.ogg is a natural vanilla sound... i should know...

​@@Sloivoirs I'd say it's still going to be around mid-levels (which isn't bad, it just means it won't be outstanding either). The puppet-combo influence is front and center, yet it misses what made their games scary. It also doesn't help that it's just another "BOO! I teleport near you, chase you and kill you if I catch you!". In a way following what made the dweller-esque mods not scary: they don't interact with the world at all. What made the original dweller work is that it operated in a specific location (caves) which is required in order to progress while not striking too often so you don't get used to it. I would say various "infection"/Scape and run-esque mods are scarier because they, in a way, interact with the world the same way you do. They, just as you, start by gathering bare minimum resources while trying to stay low, as they gather more and more, they start affecting the world, shaping it to fit their needs (just like the player). Yeah, those mods have their own bag of worms in form of being unbalanced (especially the original) and pretty much requiering players to actively avoid mod's content by being a lunatic that places torches everywhere, kills every single mob they find and rush to gather top gear, but it's still a step in the right direction. If you think about it: what made Herobrine scary is that he behaved just like a player. Hell, he is most famous for staring at players at the edge of the fog, in a way mirroring what the player would do if they found a player-esque entity in their single-player world
