When these cars were new I remember thinking the same thing, when I'd see one of these on the road with a younger person driving my friends and I always thought the person was a millionaire. It was very different back then, there wasn't a huge selection of cars like there is today to choose from, if you wanted something sporty there was only a handful of choices and this was about the best.
I ordered my new ‘84 L69 Z28 overseas while stationed in Germany. Similar options except no power, windows or doors, had the nicer optional Contour seats (think they were Corbeau) with the alternating stripes of Camaro, Camaro, etc. The 85 mph speedometer would peg in third gear, so I ordered a 145 mph speedo thru Corvette clinic. it would peg that one too. Four-wheel disc, came with the catalytic converter in the trunk and a factory test pipe installed. Germany at that time did not have unleaded fuel. Special black wall tires because GM would not send cars with the standard white letter tires so popular then. The best part which is a no Bueno on the one you’re selling, mine had a five speed. Originally I had test driven an ‘82 GT in the states. Loved it. Finally in ‘84 I went to the AFEES new car sales in Würzburg to finally order mine. Unfortunately, Ford would not ship a new GT to Germany because they determined the brakes were inadequate. The Ford representative tried desperately to work a deal where I would purchase the car in Bayonne, New Jersey and privately ship it overseas at my expense. I thanked him and promptly walked across the hall to the GM rep and started the ordering process for the Z28 which I had never laid eyes on before. Loved my Z. Good luck with your sale. In retrospect, the only error I made at that time one could order a car with individually picked options.
Typed this wall of text on my phone. Sorry for any errors like the deleted paragraph and the floating sentence at the bottom. The error was not ordering the power door and windows. Car was too wide to lean over and manually do it. 😂
I'm pretty sure if you got an 83 or 84 Z28 L69 H.O it came with black wall tires, the non H.O. cars all came with raised white letter Goodyear Eagle GT tires.
@@irocitZ Could be. The L69 option was new and they might have been mistaken. Also I tried to get the alternating blue-striped Camaro seats but I ended up with the orange/red version. My friends would joke they could see my interior before the rest of the car. 🤣
Those wheels look good on a lot of different cars, they look right at home on the Camaro. I have them on my 84 Z28, besides being good looking it's an upgrade from the factory 15 inch wheel. The wheels are Pontiac Trans Am, they came standard on the top of the line Trans Am (GTA). Depending on the color combo you could get those in black or gold.
I own an 84 z28! This one’s very clean. The orange needle on the speedometer shows the kilometers per hour while the white needle shows miles per hour 👍
OMG! Beautiful. I wish I was rich and had a huge garage for cars like these.

"It's got a 4 barrell."
You gotta pump that gas pedal, youngin.
Awesome car.

@@irocitZ Incorrect. I ordered a brand new 1984 L69. The H.O. version, also came with the Eagle GT tires with the raised white letters. Absolutely.
@@ruthylopez when you ordered that car, did you specifically request the white letters facing out?

Nice to see someone not afraid to smoke the tires and let it slide! I really love the color scheme and the interior. Needs nothing.
White needle points to mph. Orange needle points to kph. Those gauges were made from 82-84.

Also the trip/time date thing is just a gimmick to create reminders for yourself. they can be turned and changed by turning the dial.
