Not sure about this one fellas. Duck camp dinners season 1&2 were gold. I think a waterfowl show has got to be the toughest TV there is. Even when it’s mostly awesome you still have crappy days. I liked Duck camp dinners because even when the hunting sucks they still cut up and have a great time. The flip side is I don’t know how many crappy hunts in a row you can show and still keep everyone interested in the program. I absolutely applaud the effort from the Meateater group. You guys are leading the charge for sure. I’ll keep watching and learning!
I can see how these guys align with Meateaters' vision of conservation. I'm looking forward to this new series. For those wondering, the guys from Duck Camp Dinners have a channel 'Split Reeds' on TH-cam.
Another TH-cam waterfowling show?! How the hell am I supposed to get anything done anymore between hunting and watching youtube?! Lookin forward to this one!
Got back into goose and duck hunting last year, and I’m hooked! This is going to be a great new series to get me and all the folks fired up about waterfowl season!
I am so excited for this! This year is going to be my first year hunting waterfowl. I will be targeting Canada geese hard. I look forward to seeing more from this series!
Seems like more critics than support these days. Duck camp was great. This seems like it will also be great. Some deep dives into the nuances of bird hunting will be appreciated in this series. F*** the haters. Need more support in this world.
It probably will be. Until I see them visit a state like WESTERN Wa and not spokane area, or like the high desert in oregon, hell even the columbia; I'm sure they are gonna show some mid state that we all know has great ducks.
As a proud Louisianan who grew up around camp’s and duck hunting, duck camp dinners hit the spot. I’ll give anything MeatEater related a chance but yea they dropped the ball losing duck camp dinners. That was their best TH-cam content imo.
Every thing about this reminds me of hunting/fishing/camping buddies, and best friends! Being from Kansas and losing a long traditional flyway to drought… I’m all for making better what has been. Introducing things to a place which may become invasive in the name of making them better is a net loss when times get hard, and when times get better…. Well… shattercane! I’ve hunted ponds successfully without decoys and commercial assistance… but now it’s clearly not the same.
It’s nice but it’s no DCD. Chef Jean Paul managed to encapsulate not only waterfowl hunting but also all the great things associated with it. To the point where I would watch DCD if no hunting took place at all. Hopefully this series finds its own but it’s got some big waders to fill
Doubt you guys will ever read this. I’m in several large hunting groups and a lot of us seem to follow and watch a lot of the same guys or groups on TH-cam. A lot of us wish some of the pros would do some videos on more of the equipment side of things. Not just the bow or gun set ups. Like everything you guys use to harvest and carry out a deer for instance. From the packs you use, to the bags, everything. Or quality of life equipment or cooking equipment y’all have started using over the years while hunting. Could call it MeatEater equipment series. For instance covering all your equipment for the various seasons. Do spring, summer, fall, and winter equipment overview. All of us that hunt and are fans understand you will have to recommend certain products or show certain products due to sponsorships and what not but we’d still love the extra coverage. To know what all the pros use and what they have found to work in different scenario’s.
Most likely has already been said, but it seems there are a lot of classes/courses a person can take on deer/elk/moose hunting. From what I have seen there aren't many on duck/geese hunting courses/classes, obviously with the vast amount of knowledge that MeatEater as a whole has. I bet there is a great opportunity for some money to be made.
Duck Camp Dinners. Now Split Reeds, give them a follow. Meat Eater has 47 podcasts that no one is interested in, and let go of the best waterfowl content they had.
I called it ! Love how meat eater is more then an TH-cam channel. Almost unexplainable unless u get it the friend and family’ ness of being able to call or say yea that’s meat eater. Maybe the attention to detail and certain level of expertise masterful ness of what they create. It’s a way to unwind and get away to non bs online shows the last real also American don’t take no shit type program.
Finally a show that gets into the work. Effort and how to make it a great property for long term hunting. Like it as its not just 30 minutes of 500 birds shot.
The US is a big place so it varies. I'm Indiana we have a swan you can hunt and one you can't so most guys just leave them alone. It is however legal to get certain swans
Well, I'd go with them. Being 66 years old I won't be accused of looking like someone from Meateater. Although I'd be happy to be. Now if I could only get a Sandwich when I go in the shop...😂
Would love to know what happened with the Duck Camp Dinner crew, they were great before MeatEater and will be great after, but that sort of content seemed like an absolute layup for the MeatEater crowd. Dry field goose hunting aint it and these guys have no personality. Disappointing to say the least
Oh now that's just plain wrong and not community centered. These guys have plenty of personality and are a great watch. Their vision and dream is on point. Build up your fellow hunters, lord knows it's a dying breed.
Another masterpiece on this channel! It's incredible how the creators manage to surprise every time. What's your favorite moment from this video? 💬🎨🌷🌷 № 😹*
Jfc.. just a couple dudes having a mutual masterbation session, but no actual action. BORING... New season of Duck Camp Dinners can be found at the Split Reed channel on YT
They blew it losing duck camp dinners. My all time favorite hunting show.
@@relentlessshiba5108 Split Reed channel on TH-cam, new season out a couple weeks ago.
🎉🎉🎉

Long Live Duck Camp Dinners
Duck camp dinners. Period. Mic drop. Meateater dropped the ball losing those boys
Awesome series.. makes me hungry every time I watch it. Well done show
@@Yellowlab247_Outdoors Big facts... They fucked up. Too corporate...
Thank y’all for the support!
Well, they made up for it with the Element boys 😵
For those looking for Duck Camp Dinners, they are still cutting up and doing their thing under Split Reeds TH-cam channel!
Thank you!

They have their own YT channel and season 3 is out, I was a Duck Lore guy.
Split reed has season 3 of duck camp dinners
@@casenhuff629I’ll have to go look. Thank you, duck camp dinners is the best
The Duck Camp Dinners crew had that going for it. Such a fun bunch of guys to watch, even when there's nothing else happening
I always liked fowl life. My boy loves watching it with me on Sundays.
I can see how these guys align with Meateaters' vision of conservation. I'm looking forward to this new series. For those wondering, the guys from Duck Camp Dinners have a channel 'Split Reeds' on TH-cam.
Love it Brady!!! I think people will come to love & appreciate what you’re all doing. Wish you guys nothing but success.
Another TH-cam waterfowling show?! How the hell am I supposed to get anything done anymore between hunting and watching youtube?! Lookin forward to this one!
By the looks of the comments, I need to watch Duck Camp Dinners. I do love me some Chef Jean!
Gonna open a beer and watch this when i come out of work later today!!
Got back into goose and duck hunting last year, and I’m hooked! This is going to be a great new series to get me and all the folks fired up about waterfowl season!
An amazing video, great management happening! Thank you guys!!

Great work guys. Can’t wait for the rest of the world to get to know how stellar Matt and Brady are!
Cannot even begin to tell you how stoked I am for this! This is absolutely huge1!!!! You definitely have my attention!
Birdmen: "there's FOURTY ONE(!) species of waterfowl! It should be so much content.
Meateater: "here's another hoofed animal."
What happened to duck camp dinners and duck lore? Those were both awesome!!!
I was a Duck Lore guy, seemed like it pulled numbers as well as any of the spin-offs.
Duck camp dinners is still around new season just started
Interesting! Cheers from Sweden
Meateaters third kick at getting continuing waterfowl content.
Hopefully it is not Montana all season
It probably will be. Until I see them visit a state like WESTERN Wa and not spokane area, or like the high desert in oregon, hell even the columbia; I'm sure they are gonna show some mid state that we all know has great ducks.

Stellar, with an even more stellar group of fellas! Excited to see what comes of this boys!
Fantastic…can’t wait. We Duck hunters are a special kind of crazy :).
Bring back duck camp dinners !
I'm all in on a waterfowl series
Duck Camp Dinners > the rest

Duck Camp Dinners.
Now Split Reeds, give them a follow.

So pumped for you boys!
I can't even sleep the night of opener! I can usually make it through opening weekend with almost 0 sleep. 😂😅😂
Looking for more shows being a new waterfowl hunter hoping to learn from your show
Didn’t expect anything less, great work ! The more shit talking the better
Waterfowl hunting is more work than it’s worth but the mighty ducks was a badass movie
Lol
Lol
That's like, just your opinion, man. 😂
Emilio Estevez's finest work... lol
Quite the love story!
I'm your big fan
Do you know why one side of the V is longer than the other? Because there are more birds on that side… I’ll show myself out
Great introduction episode, Can’t wait!
I've subscribed your channel
I love supporting the MT boys
Let’s go boys 🔥🔥🔥
Good luck trying to replace chef John Paul

Is this going to be on Apple Podcasts too? Or just TH-cam?
Duck lore was so much better. This seems like a 1 off. And just have duck lore back as well as duck camp dinners.
Flying Sitka bros
Unlike any waterfowl show I've seen yet....gunna be a good one!
I’ll watch because I love your channel but why did you let duck camp dinners go
I'm gonna watch because I watch all waterfowl content, but letting Sean Weaver go seems like a big mistake, really enioyed Duck Lore.
Love waterfowl hunting and meat eater!
OK Boys! My favorite snap plaid shirts what's the brand name & where'd you buy?
Okay fine I'll get a lab!
Why nonnative japanese millet over a native grain that would attract waterfowl?
You know why one side of the V is longer than the other?
What call are they using here?

What ear pro was Matt wearing?
Sound gear!
This Brady guy keeps trying the fake it till you make it strategy…. And it doesn’t look like he is ever going to make it.
😎👍
do you hunt swans aswell? is it legall in usa???
The US is a big place so it varies. I'm Indiana we have a swan you can hunt and one you can't so most guys just leave them alone. It is however legal to get certain swans
Sorry Meateater this aint it..... I love damn near everything you do but losing Duck Lore and Duck Camp Dinners was a mistake.
Why do all of the meateater guys look the same?
Well, I'd go with them. Being 66 years old I won't be accused of looking like someone from Meateater. Although I'd be happy to be.

Holy bot comments
S3E4 of duck camp dinners hit yesterday Split Reed channel on TH-cam
I love their stuff, but that one rough… I can’t imagine how rough it really was!
This seems more like a male on male love story
Lmfao 😂
Meateater is like whiskey. Problem is they keep watering it down with all of this other garbage.
Waterfowlers are the rudest nastiest of hunters but I’m still gonna go.

I'm sorry Meateater... These guys ain't it.
These guys come off as the type of guys I'd avoid at the marsh.
These guys suck.

Thats boring. Two middle aged guys talking about they never so anything than waterfowl. Thats so onedimensional. Ibdont know, it does not catch ME.
