  • In this video we show you how to get cinematic drone footage with fpv drone. We talk about how to fly a drone, how to avoid crashing it and give you beginner fpv drone tips. Cinematic FPV is becoming more and more popular, so now is the time to learn how to fly a drone. Adding racing drone footage in your cinematic videos will definitely help them stand out and get noticed. FPV racing drone we used in this tutorial is the Iflight Nazgul5 6s and a few fpv drone shots are done with a cinewhoop Iflight Megabee v2.

    There is a really big mistake regarding crossfire antenna position. If the antenna on the quad is horizontal, the antenna on the radio must be horizontal and vice-versa.

    • @tomstrojnik
      @tomstrojnik  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hectorfpv Thank you for comment, but you are wrong, let me explain:
      Antennas have the best reception on the long edge and the worst reception on the points edge. No matter how your antenna is turned, there will always be two points where the signal is weak. If you have your antenna horizontal, then left and right of you will be weak signal, but if your antenna is turned vertical, only down on the ground and exactly above you will be weak signal, but 360 around you, there will be good signal.
      And regarding the drone, we're using TBS Nano diversity receiver, meaning we have two crossfire antennas on the drone at all times. One horizontal and one vertical, then the receiver is always picking the signal from the better one, depending how the drone is rotated comparing to you.

    • @hector-fpv
      @hector-fpv 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tom Strojnik well, if you check the TBS freshdesk website they talk about cross polarization, wich is what I was exactly talking about. Being this a video oriented to new people I think it can create some confusion, cause you show an horizontal Immortal T in the quad and a vertical in the TX without talking about diversity.

    •  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hector-fpv Hey Hector, thanks for pointing that out, cross polarization can also weaken the signal, yes. However, we're currently in the making of a tutorial on how to build a drone like ours and if people follow the exact steps, they will have a very strong signal at all times. We've tested it and even on the edges of our VTX range, crossfire maintains almost 100% RSSI.
      And I think that those that already know so much to recognize from the video, which antennas are mounted and how, will also recognize that there is a separate antenna next to the crossfire and VTX antennas, and could assume that we have diversity installed.
      Hope that helps! Wish you a nice day.

    Well done Tom, only one thing you had it wrong, vertical antenna positioning wouldn't work if it was not positioned same way on both the drone and the controller

      Hey, thanks man! btw I had the crossfire nano diversity receiver and on the drone one antenna is horizontal and the other one is vertical. By having my radio antenna mounted vertical, I have the best possible connection. :)

      @@tomstrojnik It is the opposite way around. If you are horizontal on the quad, (your quad) you want the immortal T on your radio to be on horizontal. You will get worse range with them opposite, not bad range, but you will have stronger LQ and RSSI with them the same.
