Song was written by Nikki Sixx (bassist) after O,D and flatlining for several minutes ,(virtually clinically dead) but revived and has been clean for decades now.
please, please, PLEASE react to Skid Row, 18 and life. Skid Row in 1989 was the first band in history who's debut album Debuted at number 1! and it was because of this song. It's a hard rock masterpiece. I PROMISE you'll like it.
OMG. I HAD to watch this! Takes me back to my MTV watching days. You know - when MTV played videos? I’d have to pop over to BET to get Video Soul though.
Waaaaay back in my workout days, I used to start my two hour workouts with this song on the jump rope, my CASSETTE boombox cranked way up!!! Then, I would stretch out and the REAL workout started....WOW, what. memories...It still pumps me up when I hear it today...
That’s part of my teen years right there! Loved your reaction and how the music got you to smile and head bob! Please react to Wasted Time by Skid Row, November Rain by Guns n’ Roses, Little Fighter by White Lion, and Dirty Love by Thunder! Thank you, we appreciate you!!!
Mötley Crüe - Home Sweet Home ORIGINAL (Official Music Video) (1985).. Just imagine what the "80" were like. I was a late teen into twenties. Before my kids. Oh Shit Man
Tommy Lee on drums. There is a video of Motley Crue concert where the drummer is in a cage that goes out over the crowd and the cage turns upside down while he is steadily playing! Check it out! It is awesome!! Tommy Lee was married to Pamula Anderson back in the day. She was on the original Bay Watch with David Hasselhoff.
These were my guys when I was a teenager. Seen them 3 times. Freaking fantastic concerts. There songs just make you want to pump your fists and drive fast.
@@BradCross1982 Guns & Roses were never the bad boys though. They are probably the best heavy metal group of that era, but Motley Crue were true bad boys, with songs like Smokin in the Boys Room, Girls Girls Girls, Dr Feelgood, all of these songs screamed drugs, sex and rock n roll.
The bass player, Nikki Sixx, wrote this about his overdose on heroin. He was declared dead in the ambulance and the paramedics gave him a shot of adrenaline directly into his heart, thus "kick starting his heart".
I saw them in 90, on their Dr Feelgood tour. They opened with this song. I couldn't hear like 3 days later..lol...thank you, great reaction. Not sure how i missed this one..lol
I hope you have a lot of time to budget for this...cuz there are so many songs you gotta react to! Great video, keep em comin. Your other ones are great too. Megadeth, Metallica, GnR, Van Halen, Motorhead, Queen, Zeppelin, Ozzy , Priest...
Motley Crue is one of my favorite bands of all time and that was my favorite song of theirs! My second favorite song of theirs is Home Sweet Home and that has special meaning for me. I was returning home from Iraq when the pilot played it out over the announcement system. If you can, I would like to request that be played for one of your upcoming reaction videos. Thanks in advance and thank you for all that you do. Peace and love, brother.
18 an life was my life. I always fought and have to go back there. Same town to do it again. I'm sorry squirrel. I wasn't there to stand up for you. Squirrel was a vet. He was robbed by some teens. He was homeless. So I am going to deal with these now young men. I've done alot of things with my life that was bad. This is one of the few things that make sense to me.
At the end that's not all guitar it's a guitar & voice box, Nikki is making that sound with his mouth/voice into a tube attached to the guitar. 😎🎸 ( I know a guitar player can explain it better but that's the jist of it ) The Kickstart my heart is a true story of Nikki Sixx having to get adrenaline injected into his heart to save him after another heavy night of drugs...... oh those 80's so much fun ! Awesome band with so much talent... over did the drugs & partying but still had a long impressive career 😎🤘
Live Wire was the first video I saw by the Crüe. So many great tunes. Crazy how many reactors are not familiar with their tunes. Wish I could have seen one of my guitar heroes Mick Marrs before he retired.
The wah wah your hear is a voice box. You put it in your mouth (it is attached to the microphone) and it makes that sound. You can talk into it as well and it amplifies your voice the same way. Used a lot in rock/metal.
Wasn't a wah-wah on the guitar, it was a vocoder... if you check out the Scorpions doing The Zoo they use one too (as do many other guitarists on other songs)... involves a tube to the mouth that the guitarist makes noises through and it's filtered through the guitar to make that sound. Generally involves a lot of spit running down the tube:)
Hi, Ty! It's from 1989. It's from their most successful album ever. It was written after bassist, Nikki Sixx survived a drug overdose and actually died for a few minutes but was brought back to life by two shots of adrenaline straight to the heart.
Dude...(don't know your name yet)..dude...you gotta listen to "rainbow in the dark" by "scorpions"/dio....id love to see what you think about it...ronnie James dio was one of the first to do some death/hard metal...its songs like rainbow in the dark that inspired the angry type of rock metal. It wasn't the only song to inspire it or the first...but it was definitely an influential
Try out some Led Zeppelin ..Over the hills and far away..A band that was wayyy ahead of their time until tradegy struck..All their music is good...They were out of the 70s..crazy
Song was written by Nikki Sixx (bassist) after O,D and flatlining for several minutes ,(virtually clinically dead) but revived and has been clean for decades now.
"The starting-sounds like a motorcycle" is the Guitar...
Crue is awesome...this one of my favorite songs they did!!!
I had a friend that changed the intro to the start up sequence for an M1 Abrams tank. As a tanker I have to admit it sounded a lot better.
please, please, PLEASE react to Skid Row, 18 and life.

80s Hair Metal was great!! I 2nd Skid Row song but I like Skid Row's ''I Remember You''
He is talking through the guitar pickups, the last line is talking through it. Peter Frampton was one of the first to use that, back in the 70's.
bamachine Joe Walsh. Talk box.
He's using a talk box, its a tube that goes into your mouth and is connected to a microphone

And squirrel ended up passing away CPL wks later.
Nikki Sixx the bass player wrote this after his heart literally stopped from an overdose from Heroin. They got him revived in the ambulance.
Need to check out Wild Side from Motley Crue the drummer playing drums on a spinning cage amazing
Pink Floyd please!!! :)
Anytime I had to get somewhere in a hurry, I put this song on and got there with time to spare.
The wah wah your hear is a voice box. You put it in your mouth (it is attached to the microphone) and it makes that sound. You can talk into it as well and it amplifies your voice the same way. Used a lot in rock/metal.
FYI Nikki Sixx wrote this after one of his heroine overdoses when he actually died and they “ kick started his heat”
one of my favorite songs from my favorite band.
You have watch Sina, a 15 yr old girl play the drums to this song. Check her out!
🤗 Ultimate driving song, I really miss the 80s

My favorite Crue tune.
Your head never stopped moving.
This song is bout when Nikki Sixx overdosed & the paramedics shocked his heart & brought him back
Read the book, "Niki Sixx Diaries", he talks about how this song came about.
"To hell with the devil" by. Stryper
Hi, Ty! It's from 1989. It's from their most successful album ever. It was written after bassist, Nikki Sixx survived a drug overdose and actually died for a few minutes but was brought back to life by two shots of adrenaline straight to the heart.
I listen to rock and heavy metal ps I’m 18 years old it’s great music 🎶
That sound effect at the end is called a talk box.

The Wawa effect is done with what is called a voice box synthesizer
This song in Australia is used a lot when we have car races on the tele.
I'm an F1 girl myself 😉

Awesome live and they left a nice little scar on music.
Drummer Tommy Lee. The best
Definitely not the best but I loved Tommy’s drum style. Unique for sure.

Motley Crue Without you, reaction
Them boys were not playing around. They meant that.
I'm surprised as a musician that you haven't reacted to RUSH. You should try YYZ live in RIO. Their skills are mind blowing.
No gunshots. You bang your head. Lol. Bad boys of 80's. Tommy was drummer. Nikki guitarist. My favs.
Nikki's the bassist... Mick Mars made the guitar speak:)
This is a fun song to play on the drums
Motley Crue started 1981
Keep it up, you should check out Motley Crue- Primal Scream. You got a another sub if you react to that jam!
Reportedly the first album they recorded clean and off drugs
The Crue is the best!
Check out Van Halen's song and VIDEO for "Hot For Teacher."
You should do Doctor Feelgood. It's about their drug use and the awful side effects and many trips to the emergency room.
I have to add....Clapton and Hendrix
If you like this song you’ll love Warrants song off their album Ultraphobic named Ride #2!! Check it out.
